  1. Ok, so I know this may not be the most appropriate topic to post this in, but I do believe it has some relevance to the status on a Lego item. Recently, I've been very tight on money. And after deciding I wanted to buy some sets from Ninjago 2012, I need to ask a few questions. I want to know when the 2012 wave of sets will get discontinued, usually, I'd assume we'd have till the end of the month, but with a new wave of sets coming out I am worried that TLG will pull down Ninjago 2012 from shelves because they wouldn't want 3 waves running at a time. Last time I went to Target (about 2 weeks ago) the whole 2012 wave was there. But Rebooted has just been put up on shelves and I got some scary feelings about it. After finally being able to go to the Ninjago products page I noticed that the whole page has been updated with characters bio's, videos, and the new sets. I am worried because, the 2012 wave was not there. I want the great devourer (which comes in the Epic Dragon Battle), the Samurai mech, and destiny's bounty, but how long are these expected to be out? I get the feeling this may be the wrong topic to post this in, but I just hope I get some sort of answer. And if you're wondering, the reason I didn't start a new thread is because I don't have a very good track history with making threads.
  2. Great review Sinner, and now I don't feel bad about bumping up this thread. I only recently got my TIE Fighter, I had a mini-dark age during 2012, and with sets like the Batcave, Jabba's Palace, and the Epic Dragon battle, well lets just say 2012 wasn't the funnest year to miss out on Lego! I love this thing, my mother bought me the X-Wing during the summer, so with $50 spare at a Target one day I just caved in and bought the set. The build was surprisingly fun for being so repetitive and I love picking it up and sitting it down next to my X-Wing. I forgot which channel, but recently a network was giving a Star Wars marathon, and during the battle of Yavin I just set my X-Wing and Tie-Fighter next to each other and admired their beauty more than I did the movie! And yes, it is very swooshable, if this Tie-Fighter had a username, it'd be Mr. Swooshable.
  3. That little post was perhaps the best thing I've ever read on Eurobricks. I've yet to have any REAL confirmation that Nya will appear in a set, but nothing is telling me no. This sounds a lot like a set description, and not a book. I would be beyond happy if we get a set with not 1, but 2 female characters, a building, and a new ninja! Of course this probably won't be made into a set and if it does, I doubt they'd put 2 girls in it. No matter what though, this was exciting news.
  4. Confusing this theme is ~ Yoda
  5. Agh ok then, thanks. Now I might have to pick up the CMF series, and if that is the only set we are getting, then what is to be thought of the set list we originally saw? Was it fake, because it seemed to have several sources. But I'm sure we'll all find out when the Summer retailers catalog leaks. It usually leaks when...
  6. That quote just made my day (which ends in 2 hours!) That Homer fig looks alright, I've never seen a CMF leak, but that does seem like a wierd fig to include with the house. And do we know if the house is the only sets we will be getting? I may have asked this earlier (unsure) but I feel like we have no definite answer.
  7. Thanks for that, and I don't think I can see her and Cole together, what with her relationship with Jay and all. Interesting video but like the only other one I saw (Kai's) it just seems like a whole bunch of footage from season's 1 and 2, and then some. Do we know when the new season will air? I missed out on most of season one, so hopefully I can catch up with that before Rebooted airs.
  8. I've read many comments about Nya's video revealing some interesting things. Whenever I go on Lego.com or Lego shop @ home, I can't go anywhere BUT the page I went on, for some reason I can't check "page 2" of the Legends of Chima shop @home, same for Star Wars, and I can't check any Ninjago videos after clicking on one, and since Nya's isn't on Ninjago's home page, can someone please provide a link? I don't want to be a nuisance, but I am really curious to see what it is you are all talking about. So when providing the link, can you please ensure the link is to Nya's video, and not the homepage. Thanks in advance to anyone who could provide it to me, Lego.com has been acting weird lately and telling me to go on the website will do no good, so I would be glad if any of you would be kind enough to provide the link.
  9. Ther'es also this one gun Black widow was holding in one of the Marvel superheroes posters, but I can't find it for the life of me. It isn't any of these, and I'm really bad with guns so I can't identify it by name, but is had a little tube stretching from it's bottom. Hopefully I can find it and clarify it later, but if you happen to stumble upon a poster of Black widow (she was shooting a building if I recall) with a different gun, please let me know. I need more guns for Gotham...
  10. Haha oops, I'm usually good with geography! Also, the vet was part of wave one, so that should also be a priority. Here a link to Brickset which has all of the friends sets (and almost all Lego sets ever released) listed on it, under each Friends set, will be a year. The year under the name of the set is the year in which it was released, and remember to try to get the 2012 sets before they're out, anything 2013 should stick around for a while (but if your little one prefers the 2013 sets, then they're definitely the way to go! http://brickset.com/browse/themes/?Theme=Friends
  11. Anytime, but as far as storage goes, I like other Eurobrickers, have a hard time with space as well, so we're on the same boat there.
  12. Well, for starters I responded to this same question you asked in the town forum, and my answer remains the same, Olivia's house. I suggest going back to the town forum to see why. Hope this (and my other post) helps!
  13. I put my Tie Fighter and X-Wing in front of my T.V while watching a Star Wars original trilogy marathon, so today's been fun.
  14. Hi, I myself am not a friends collector, but I do keep up wtih the theme (wierd, but I keep up with most themes, except for Hero Factory, which I now just got into). I can assure you that Olivia's house will be retired soon, as it is a set from 2012. Usually (and I bet you knew this already) most sets get discontinued about a year after their release. For instance, all 2010 sets were retired at the end of 2011/beginning of 2012, all 2011 sets were discontinued at the end of 2012/ beginning of 2013. The same can be said about most friends sets. Of course some themes keep 1-2 sets around longer than other sets for that specific theme, for example the Alien mothership from Alien Conquest is still around today, but Alien Conquest itself has been discontinued. Of course you could just hope that Olivia's house will be around next year, but chances are it won't, and that's too big a risk. My suggestion would be to get her the house, I feel bad for you, and all Australians for having to pay so much for sets like that,so Ebay would be a great sollution. Also, I recommend you get as many sets from 2012 as possible, they will all be discontinued in about a month anyways. Most people buy sets from 2013 because they either have all the ones from 2012 or they want the "newer" stuff. But keep in mind that all (or most) sets get discontinued the December after the year they were released. Since you will be able to get Heartlake High, and Heartlake pet salon next year, I would suggest going for sets like the Summer riding camp (which as you said is out of your reach, but still) and Olivia's house since those will all be gone by the end of next month. But who knows, some stores keep sets for a little longer than others. I found the entire 2012 wave of Harry Potter sets at my local TRU in the middle of January, but that's a little late for a christmas gift now isn't it! Anyways, good luck and I hope this helps, if you need m to clarify anything or if you need help with anything else, just ask.
  15. Thanks for the review VBBN, can you please take a picture with all the hero figs next to each other? Thanks in advance.
  16. I myself do not have the kind of money to pay on a website, it may just drive me away, as much as I like this site. But donations could work, I imagine I would contribute at least $2 a year on this site, that is on good years. I just imagine paying for eurobricks would cause too many problems, especially for inactive members, if a member who has been out for at least 3 years decides to come back to revisit the site, and find out they had to pay, well then that would be confusing. Also, what'll happen to all those spam bots that sign up every now and then, do companies who send out bots like those pay in the long run? But if you are going to make paid membership a regualr deal, I suggest having a tag (like Knights, fellows, lady's, vassals) for inactive members, that way sorting out who even uses EB and who just signed up for the hell of it. Heck, I love EB but I don't imagine being online for 5-6 years. So my main suggestion would be to have about $2-5 a year per each member, and have a special donations month event where all members who join could sign up for a donation and give back to EB. But as you have already pointed out, EB is no longer a small site, this isn't 2004, and I suggest finding a way to sort out the members who are no longer active to better keep track of who owes money, and who isn't even using this site. I hope that was all understandable, with 33651 members, keeping track of who actually uses this site could be useful. But remember, this is all a suggestion if you decide to make EB a paid site, I don't mind the ads but I would mind paying.
  17. I too, get the feeling I will be waiting a long time for a comic green goblin. I also think I'll be waiting eternity for any JL members that aren't either rehashes, or part of the Bat family. So here's to hoping TLG gives us a summer wave for DC, I really do think they'll need it.
  18. Oops, haha my bad I tried posting the picture up again but an error occurred and turns out I'm not aloud to "post that image extension" oh well, you got the point. and yeah, I think those are the ones from the Crystall skull, but I am positive it is not the Batman one, though.
  19. Well, the reason the LoC thread hasn't been "bumped" is because the image, like she said, surfaced on Brickset, not EB. Also, he does come in Rogon's rock flinger, he's not new: . I was about to post up a picture of Lavertus and ask if you guys had already seen him, and after looking deeper into the pages, I'm glad I didn't. Thank god Vitruvius that I didn't! That would've been embarrassing!
  20. I had a similar question but never asked it. On the poster of the Lego marvel superheroes game, as seen here: Black widow is holding a very neat gun, very realistic looking too. It is not the one you guys are mentioning but I would love for my Black Widow and Deadpool to own one, not to mention what I could have Harley Quinn do with it. I'm a purist, and my OCD doesn't allow for anything custom. So before I go buying a Lego gun on Brickling or Ebay (and I believe guns are one of the most common custom accessories am I right) I would like to know if this is a real piece. Thanks to all in advance because I really like that piece, and I have my fingers crossed that its real!!
  21. Thanks again Whitefang for another great review. You know it is actually your reviews that led me to eurobricks, so thumbs up for that. I initially intended on buying all the figs, and now, I want them even more! Not one fig I don't like, however President business is only really an attractive figure for his Octan mug. I am really digging Gail the construction worker, and the panda suit guy. I mean a Panda suit guy, time for a new sig fig!
  22. Well all 2012 sets discontinue next month, so I guess there's still time. So go out there, get what you can and come back and edit that post!
  23. Wow that Mary Jane looks great, thanks for that guys. I can't say I'm too happy with Powermans look, but that's only because of the lack of hair. Either way these figs look great. I honestly think Mary Jane and Powerman are enough to make me buy the spidercopter, I mean how bad could it be right?
  24. I disagree, I believe this is easily the worst DC wave to date. The sets are all vehicles, 3 of which are remakes, all the minifigs are Batman characters except for the flash, and even then, he doesn't have his yellow boots. They gave us Damien Wayne before characters like Martian Manhunter of Cyborg, just because he's Batman related. the only "original" set is the steamroller, and it is IMO hideous. The Marvel sets sound horrible too, but at least they get a good minifig selection.
  25. I can't say I'm excited about this theme, and I will definitely not be buying anything if the rumor is true. I had to actually look up what Top Gear was, and it didn't seem excited. Nowadays it's hard to get excited about new Lego licensed themes, with both DC, Marvel, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, plus Lotr, it seems like TLG have every interesting licensed theme in their hands. This could easily take the spot for least interesting licensed theme ever. But I hope everyone else likes it, be a shame if TLG fails with another theme next year, because no winter wave is really standing out next year.
