  1. Doc Ock! The single pane funny thread will be filled next year with all of these figs, I can think of 3 already! But does anyone know if we're getting a second DC wave? I'v asked before but I'm eager to know, because All About Bricks had info on a second marvel wave, I just feel like the fact that they didn't post anything for DC means we won't get anything. And I really don't want to wait till 2015 for the mere possibility of a Black Canary.
  2. You need to stop with all this news, it's all just2good to handle! Puns aside I'll take this with a pinch of salt. But I would love if Castle 2014 (or whatever castle genre/spin-off) can include trolls and witches and fairies and whatever strange creatures TLG can come up with. I'll look forward to the summer catalog even more now, agh the excitement!
  3. I read somewhere that the sales for HF weren't too good. Hopefully it does end, or runs alongside this new theme for (only) 2015, and this new theme can adress one issue it took Lego city about 3 years to address, Bionicle a decade to (sort of) adress, and Hero Factory still can't get over: female characters.
  4. HYDRA'S a huge organization in Marvel comics, he's not an individual character, but sort of like a "goon" (agent) for HYDRA.
  5. That's right, and since All About Bricks had info on a later wave for Marvel and none for DC (http://allaboutbricks.blogspot.com/2013/09/lego-super-heroes-2014-rumour-list.html) is it safe to assume those four Batman sets are all we're getting next year?
  6. Um the marathon is over in the states, I missed it, but does anyone know if there was a sneak-peak to Rebooted?
  7. Sinestro, Captain Cold, and Brainiac, such iconic characters who won't be made because they can't show up in a Batman set.
  8. Great moc, I love the way you managed to pull off Captain colds look, and that Flash better than Lego's official Flash IMO. Keep up the great work Captain Cold Nemo!
  9. Thanks for the image amazingbricks. I knew I'd love that MODOK fig, and his printing and mold don't disappoint me. I do think it may be a little too large or heavy for a minifig body, though. Anyone else here already seeing this guy tip over?
  10. No word on them yet, but Benny's probably going to show up. And I'd like to think TLG would be smart enough to NOT include Batman in yet another set.
  11. I tend to laugh when I see these, but I feel bad for the kid who asked for a small Lego set for Christmas, and ends up getting one of these clone brands instead. But these businessmen don't care, they don't care if they're ruining someones Christmas, or ripping off a multi-billion dollar company, they just care about the moeny. And that's probably the ugliest part of this hideous picture
  12. How about something without Batman? Haha but seriously, I would love to see these: DC - Scarecrow and the Gotham invasion $50.00 1x Scarecrow 1x Batman 1x Huntress 1x Scared comic shop owner 1x Scared civilian A small comic book shop and a little helicopter for scarecrow to attack with. Comic shop comes with 10 different 2x2 flat tiles with printing of actual comic book from the DC Universe. Scarecrow helicopter shoots 2 different canisters with brown studs inside, and flick-fire missiles because why not? Gotham Knights $25.00 1x Green Arrow 1x Black Canary 1x Deathstroke 1x Black Mask Small Gotham harbour sidewalk with 5 different crates large enough to hold one minifigure each. Small little building with exploding function. The reason this set is called "Gotham knights" with no actual Batman is because I want more Gotham scenarios but if they were to be made, they'd have to come with a silly little Batman vehicle along with the Dark Knight, so the name here is really just a selling point to make kids unfamiliar with characters like Deathstroke and Black Canary to want to buy the set. Based on Arkham Origins, or at least the local is. Marvel - Oscorp showdown $130.00 1x Norman Osbourne 1x Harry Osbourne 1x Oscorp guard 1x Spiderman 1x Gwen stacy 1x Green Goblin Huge 5 story open back building with detailed interior, changing room, chemical lab, office, check-in desk and more. Classic Green Goblin and glider with feature to shoot out parts of the building Hulk's downtown showdown $50.00 1x Hulk (Big-fig) 1x Abomination (big-fig) 1x She Hulk 1x Bruce Banner 1x DBC reporter. Timesquare scenario with two large building covered in T.V panels and a giant screen showcasing the fight, a DBC helicopter with camera hovering over the two building and fight. Also includes Time squares big screen, on which the fight will be shown.
  13. I completely agree, even Gwen Stacy would be accepted, which would be weird since we're already getting Mary Jane. I sorta wish they'd give us more iconic locations in this theme rather than the occasional car that never even existed in the first place. I'm glad to get a new Doc Ock, but how many people were crying out for a bank truck? It's bad enough Lego does these same type of cars every 1-2 years in Lego City, but now they're coming into the superheroes theme? I don't think I saw any demand for a bank truck, but compare that to the amount of people asking for a Fantasticar.... Anyways I'm, overall pleased with the minifig selection, more females would be nice, but I assume (emphasize the assume) that we will get a least 1 female figure in the X-Men set(s). I'm sure we won't get Gamora for GOTG as they are already making 8+ sets and if they do make a GOTG set, I'm sure it'll be small and stick to the males. I'm loving that cap set, I mean Red Skull! There's no way they could have disappointed me with Electro, so that's good. Great minifig selection on the Hulk set, and the build is alright, looking forward to that. And as for the spidey-copter, better than the prelims, but that's not saying much. Here's to hoping Storm shows up eventually, and not as one of those darn SDCC exclusives!
  14. Eh the Ninjacopter will be around all of next year, the Hobbit is only in theaters for so long. I'd probably just wait it out. I hope they give some sort of sneak peek during the marathon, I would love to watch at least a minute of unseen footage for the new season. A commercial works just as good though.
  15. I'm interested to see how Gal Gadot looks as Wonder Woman. I don't watch the Fast and Furious movies because the franchise just seems a little cliche for me, so I haven't a clue how well she acts. With Ben Affleck as Batman though, I doubt the casting could possibly go and lower than this. She seems exotic, that's for sure, hopefully we can get costume designs for the crew by summer 2014. But will she be Diana or Wonder Woman? The wait begins...
  16. One of the funnier answers on this thread. My suggestion would be to act as if their opinion doesn't matter. "If you can't appreciate what I do, then I don't think I appreciate how you treat me". If they feel the same kind of rejection you feel, they may gain some sort of empathy for you and if you show them that (without being blatantly rude) that you can live without someone who doesn't appreciate who you are. I'm not suggesting you break up with anyone or cut anyone out of your life, but rather show them that in the same way they don't approve of you, you can return the favor Of course that's only if things go downhill, to start things off I'd probably just show them that I'm not spending an outrageous sum of money on it, and that you can still devote your time to them then you'll be fine. Show them that you can be comfortable with who you are without changing who they are, and not act as if the money being spent is money that should have been spent elsewhere. If things go wrong don't use my first option (I gave it because that's what I would do in a given circumstance, but it may just harm your relationship), but if things seem rather neutral (they show signs of confusion) then explain what I and others on this thread have explained, it's not a dangerous hobby, and it isn't making you go bankrupt. Good luck and here's to hoping the people in your life are as accepting as the ones on this site.
  17. Some say January, some go as specific as December 18th, I get the feeling this should be asked in the culture and multimedia forum. But basically, we don't know.
  18. Wow thanksgiving? And I saw the last episode in January. I suppose that January isn't the longest to wait for
  19. So I guess that makes me want the new season this month even more. I doubt I'd be upset if it aired in January, though. It's just another month (of nothing to watch on T.V)
  20. Purple Ninja? Up until now I hadn't realized how popular Ninjago is, having its own fanbase and all. I don't think Ninjago should air in January, I'm usually quite apposed to shows having breaks that lasts over a year. But this break would only be a little less than a year (when was the last episode aired?). I'm generally excited but since the series hasn't been on for a while, and Chima came off to me like a lackluster full season toy commercial. When I think of Ninjago I think of sets based off of a show, but Chima rubbed me the wrong way and i would love to see it return. I was perusing a wikipedia page and an Imdb page and couldn't get a hold of the last Ninjago episode that aired, but if I recall, it was either late December 2012, or early December 2012. I saw a re-run of the last episode sometime during January, so I have no official date for the last episode. There are several conflicting reasons for both release dates. On one hand, Chima is about to end, so this may be a little premature fo another Lego T.V show on CN. And on the other hand, I'll have felt dragged on by this theme if it airs in Janurary. But hey, at least it's not a summer airing, that would be a nightmare.
  21. I only have 3, 6864 The Batmobile and the Two Face Chase, 6858 Catwoman Catcycle City Chase, and 6860 the Batcave. The only reason I haven't opened them up, is because they're my Christmas presents. If I get the money though, I'll buy Jabba's Palace and edit this post. Christmas this year will be fun.
  22. Oh, eh thanks for that reply, I'll try to find a better place to ask these sort of questions, they're usually out of context but I don't notice until later on.
  23. I love this idea, I respect the work of many designers and more often than not don't even know who I'm crediting. I would prefer the name be on the side of the box and not take up much space, learn what technique's one designer uses, and how another forms builds. But whenever we complain about a set, it's possible things could get very awkward if we were to be on a first name basis and it'd almost be like smack-talking a designer. But in order to recognize the work fully credit those who participated on a build, this would work out very well. But remember, TLG has over 200 designers and some projects take up more than 3, so maybe just have the designer be mentioned in the description of the set would work too. Like for example: New Spiderman, stop the Green Goblin and Doc Ock in Times square!...... by Legodesigner#5. I would support both ideas, credit rarely ever goes to designers, they deserve some, but maybe the Lego group has thought this over and decided not to for some reason?
  24. No I don't. Yup, just looked back and it's there, the page just needed refreshing.
  25. The content has been removed, so no fun there. This is the 2nd time I clicked on a link from that site where the content has been removed, maybe TLG is cracking down on these type of things?
