Well hello there, you're not really a newcomer so I can't say "welcome" in a serious tone I noticed this intro in particular has been ignored for a while, sorry noone really "welcomed" you, but there were about 6 other newcomers posting here, and I guess things just got clogged up. I usually only post here to tell a lady to how to get her tag, or direct someone to a specific thread I think they'll like, but you seem to know your way around here, so have fun!

I too, like the movie version better. But I don't think this one looks too "surfer boy". I think he kinda looks like an old man

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Freddy Bricker replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Does anybody here know how many UCS's we usually get a year? Like more than 2 more than 3? I ask because this year we got the Ewok Village and X-Wing, and last year we got the B-Wing and R2-D2. So maybe next year we could get both the AT-AT and Cloud city? I hope Lego is not reducing the amount of large scale sets we'll be getting. Also on the note of the Coruscant police gunship, I guess the minifigs included were sufficient, because they were all included in a scene in the show, and I'll just have to live with no new Ventress, she was good while she lasted. -
You do bring up a good point, if they're is a Summer wave, we may just get all of those figs. But the winter wave is just so bad IMO, that the risk of there not being a Summer wave, is just plain scary. I still don't think DC will catch up to the amount of Marvel minifigs there are in years. Unless there is a summer wave, and it will need to be packed. I'm now debating with myself whether or not to get the steamroller, new joker, goon, plus new figs like Batgirl and Damien Wayne (Jason Todd anyone? ) make it very tempting, but that riddler chase set is just so. so ..

I agree, that's pretty much why I think they need a summer wave. At this rate, we'll have to wait years for DC and Lego to get around to making characters like Hawkman and Black Canary. We'd be lucky to get even one Teen Titan not from the Batman family, and while Marvel is elaborating on each of their characters, we'll have to wait years to even get little exposure from one of ours. I'm not buying any 2014 DC sets (I just decided not too long ago, so please ignore any previous posts about my purchases) except for the Penguin set. It's a sad day for both Lego and DC when we're judging them on how terrible the minifigs are, that just goes to show how bad the set designs were. It's a hard day to be a DC fan (not implying that you are, but for me it is).

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Freddy Bricker replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So I know this is a bit late, but just about 3 days ago I got myself the 2012 Tie Fighter, and gosh I love that set. -
LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Freddy Bricker replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, plus I can't see anything that they can make that they haven't already covered, except for those two sets (cloud city and mos eisley). But I'm sure it will be very Rebels heavy, so this summer wave better hope it gives us some well awaited sets. -
The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I still think Lego will release alternate builds later on (or in the instructions). But I'll be glad either way, I mean I just love building things on my own, but I'm usually a stick-to-the-book kind of guy, this year will be fun. I mean I've never made a MOC, so it's something new.- 2,626 replies

I also saw the commercial, it was better than this years Garmatron commercial. And at the end, Pixal, Zayne, and Lloyd are all lined to together with their weapons facing the camera in a battle pose. It sorta makes me want to get all both sets. I will definitely skip the Ninjacopter if Pixal appears in the summer wave (if there is a summer wave) and if the Ninjacopter has no real "role" in the show. But if they don't make a summer wave (or if they do, and Pixal is not included) than I will gladly still buy the Ninjacopter, the price just bugs me.

It's comments like this that get my hopes up for minifigs, why must you all torture me? Since it appears that the "wheeled" vehicle I saw will probably end up being the Stormer freeze machine, I am still impressed by how it looks, and can't wait to see the summer wave!

Yeah thank you, I'd like to think I'm not crazy. Who knows, whatever it is it caught my eye.

Hello Alexandra and welcome to Eurobricks! You sound rather interesting (in a good way!) and I agree with the imbalance of genders in Lego, but hey it is a toy company. Hope to see you around more. Oh yeah, and I've said this to like every girl that has signed up on the forums, but I suggest you go over to the "girls stand up" thread and introduce yourself as a lady (you get a special tag) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2729

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Freddy Bricker replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While that is an opinion, I think it is very much true. Who knows, they can always give us a little burning building with Hunter Ventress, and a couple of coruscant police officers? I honestly don't think the summer wave can get any worse than this. -
On the left of the Evo walker, highly doubt we'd get alternate builds so I'm hoping it's a new set, even if it is for Stormer.
-
Well the cockpits are different and the one on brickshelf appears to have 2 wheels rather than 1 (and it's different than the one on Stormers arm, which come to think of it isn't really a wheel at all). I'd like to think it;s a new set, or just an alternative model with moding from the designers of the comic.
-
Well Lego video games usually cover a large array of characters, and since this game will only be covering the 1st two movies, I'd assume they will take any chance to add in new characters. So yeah, I'd say it's pretty likely.

I always get ninja'd, I'll have to talk to the turtles about that one. But did anyone else notice the little blue mech on Evo's side? It looks nothing like the Evo walker, it uses surge's color scheme, and it has wheels! Summer wave, are you hiding all of these great sets?
-
Well since Hero Factory is looking so good I think I save up to go to my local TRU to get the 2012 breakout sets and wait till next year to get the Brain attack sets. I wish this theme had at least one more female protagonist, maybe as part of another team? And in the following link, I spy with my little eye a 3 headed beast, hopefully saved for the summer wave! http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5988293

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow, great alternate builds, I keep loving this theme more and more. Anyone else notice the "vehicle stops frequently" sign on the recycling truck? It's little details like this that remind me why I love Lego. Also, are those new cones in the ice cream truck set? Ah why do I love this theme so much. Now the terrible Star Wars and Superheroes sets will do my budget some justice. Yeah, I initially thought it was the worst of the wave (tied with the castle cavalry/podracer set). These alternate images confirm my disliking of the cavalry set, but TLG wins it with the alternate build for the plumber plane. But Cloud cuckoo palace is still hot on my list, is that strange?- 2,626 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Freddy Bricker replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I was actually just thinking to myself earlier about how Lego used up a lot of creative ideas in the past few years that it may have even hurt themselves. The same can be said about Winter Wave sets. Sets like the Tie Fighter (which I got today, really liking the set) the X-Wing and Rancor pit are just such good sets that after they are made, Lego and Lucasfilm/ Disney will have a hard time picking out what sets they can come up with for future waves. I guess outdoing yourself is a bad thing after all So far, I have liked nothing about Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm. Ugly box designs, terrible sets, and discontinuing the CW before season 6 all at once are things I'm gonna have to blame on Disney. Those kinda things just never happened with Lucasfilm. Hopefully the summer wave proves me wrong, because when it comes to Lego speculation I love to be proven wrong. -
So today was a nice day. Got: 9492 Tie Fighter Series 11 Lady Robot. I also felt the pretzel girl and welder, but with only 3 spare dollars I took the robot, knowing who I had in hand. I want to say I regret it but the lady robot IMO is just such a good fig. But I must be the only human on Earth to think so.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I got the Lady Robot today, and can't find any reason why anyone wouldn't like her. But hey, an opinion is an opinion. I must say though, I'm starting to get very confident in the figures I feel for, so far every series 11 minifig I bought, I knew and identified. I also felt the pretzel girl today, or so I think. I felt a small little lump, small enough to fit on a minifig head with two rubbery little braids attached. Can anyone tell me if the pretzel girls hair is rubbery, and confirm whether or not I felt right? I also felt the welder today, I felt him everytime I go shopping (no dirty jokes please) but never got him. Does any one here think it was a miss for me not to get the fig, and have gotten the lady robot instead? -
Well I missed out on possibly everything I could have wanted from 2012, so here goes: #1: The Batcave #2: Jabba's Palace #3: Palpatine's Arrest #4: The Batmobile and the Two Face Chase #5: Catwoman catcycle city chase #6: Gungan Sub These should give a pretty general idea of my preferred themes, oh yeah, and I would also love the Ninjago Samurai mech. Curse you Lego for having such great designers, and my budget is pretty tight, so I'd like to not think about what I might not end up getting.

Where did the Advent calendars go?
Freddy Bricker replied to ResIpsaLoquitur's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I visited my local target today, and I didn't see any calenders either. However Toys R Us did, if I recall. I on the other hand haven't found Hulk's Helicarrier breakout, and I really want that set before it discontinues. So yeah, most stores I have visited lately (with the exception of Toys R Us) have had very little 2012 sets (espicially from the superheroes, ninjago, and city lines). As far as 2013 sets go, I've seen plenty, so maybe calling to check if they are in stock might help.
