LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Umm, didn't NRG already post that? -
Woah great moc! May I ask where you got those bamboo elements? Are those third party items or did Lego create such beauties? If they are official Lego, I may just have to pick some up myself! Good job either way, though.

Welcome aboard Mikuri, if I am correct, and you are one of the rare ladies on this site, I recommend going to this page, and registering yourself as a lady, if you want to that is. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2729

This. Not to try to "join sides" or anything, but where I lived, this is especially true. Back in 2008 when I went shopping, I saw the Lego aisle FILLED with teens and young adults, most were in the Bionicle section, with the occasional parent buying a Pirates or Agents set. People would make mini-lines to get to the Bionicle, they were just so popular, now I never see anyone at the Lego aisle, I'm almost always alone. But then again, I don't live in the "wealthiest" neighborhood of people who prioritize Lego as something they need. This may just be where I live, but Bionicle sold like Hot-cakes, nowadays Hero Factory keeps the same amount of sets with the same numbers on the back for weeks and sometimes months until I get back. However Ninjago seems to be selling okay in terms of sets, but every kid I see or know as a child of a friend, has a Ninjago shirt, or book. I don't know about other locations, but here in southern Florida, both Bionicle and Ninjago sold like crazy, it was tear-worthy. I'm not sure that I'll laugh, but I won't be surprised if it isn't. I feel that if we don't get Bionicle back in 2015 (which wouldn't be terrible) everyone will forget about it like they did sliders or robo-somethings (forgot the name) in terms of hype. I assume that after being gone for 5 years, everyone will only talk about Bionicle for reference in sales and what not. I guess this would be a good time to uh, you know, "move along"

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Freddy Bricker replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice pics, however high resolution won't change my mind about these sets. It just makes me want the vulture droid even more, and resist the (awkward looking) Anti-Vehicle Cannon even more. But thanks anyways to CM4S and SpyderLord for the pics! -
Ugh, spammers, the cockroaches of the internet

Good point JayWalker, but I think I'll leave it to respond for tomorrow, I'm practically drifting right about now.

Don't remind me, I think my brain just exploded and caused a disruption larger than the Death Star! Lego needs to prioritize, this year isn't looking to good for them. -
Lego Minifigure things they can improve?
Freddy Bricker replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Just thought of something I would love to see, and I (for no reason) would love to see more variety in dress molds, for instance actual curved line at the bottom or wrinkles would be, well fun. -
About that last, part, yeah no. Haha just kidding, that is indeed a great thing to wish for.

If we were to have a collectible minifigure series for this theme, I'd also want some love for DC. But at the same time, I know if they did make a collectible minifigure series for DC, all the characters would be Justice League members/ villains and the sets would have yet another reason to focus on Batman. Oh dear god anything but another Batwing!

Oh thank god (someone?) that the sandcrawler won't be UCS. That still leaves room for cloud city! Ugh but that also leaves room for an AT-AT which we got 3 years ago, it can wait to be remade, in contrast to cloud city which hasn't been on shelves since what, 2003? 2005? -
Welcome to Eurobricks Bayu! You're the second graphic designer I've seen join EB, but I'm sure there's more. Quite a great job I must admit.

Agreed, as long as its new and fresh, I'm all for it. And is anybody else worried that this thread will be bumped up after months of inactivity at some random point in 2014?

Yeah I've noticed, when scanning through the members forum you'll notice most are vassal's, and those that aren't haven't been online for a while (years). It seems Eurobricks roster of active members changes slowly, some may join today, leave tomorrow, and the system will rinse and repeat.

Do these graphic novels ever have a real affect on the show? This phantom ninja is starting to seem more interesting than most of the ninja's themselves. And I wouldn't expect any cross-overs from these two themes, although it'd be nice, it'd be disappointing if Lego decided to put attention on Exo-Force (a retired theme) over underused characters like Misako, Nya (although she's been pretty on point lately) and or Dareth.

Oh hehe ho ho he hehe haha But seriously, as much as I would love for Bionicle to come back, can't anybody just be glad we might be getting something new? If they were to reboot Bionicle (which I'm all for) they would have to limit themselves to the already confusing plot, and bring that into a new generation. And as far as Hero Factory goes, I hat it's plot, but that simple plot(Hero Factory), complicated plot (Bionicle) and consant changes in build (the shift from technic in 2005, specialized parts in 2010, and now bones, which have been around for about 3 years) can all be addressed in a new theme, isn't that alone something to drool about? There should be a disinfectant to keep the fanboys out xD

No worries, just glad I could help.

If you go on Lego.com, you should be able to go on their products page, go on either DC or Marvels page, click on the sets, and "instructions" should be an option. Or I could just give you a link. 76008 Iron Man vs. The Mandarin Ultimate Showdown http://marvelsuperheroes.lego.com/en-us/products/default.aspx 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape http://marvelsuperheroes.lego.com/en-us/products/default.aspx#6867 6857 The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape http://dcuniversesuperheroes.lego.com/en-us/Products/Default.aspx#6857

Ugh, when I click on the link all I see is a box, and it's yellow and white, did this happen to anyone else? Also, shouldn't Lego avoid those colors since they were both used before? Not that it matters anyways, both lines that used those colors (series 1 an 6) are out of production, and they weren't for this line, they were for the minifigure line. Still, they could have used more original colors, but these suit the line well. Those aren't terrible, just need to be scaled down a little more, I still think Lego Simpsons will surpass these in quality, despite being a larger Family Guy fan.

Contacting the Lego group
Freddy Bricker replied to Freddy Bricker's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks for all your responses, I thought it'd be hard to contact them, but not so hard! I want to ask them if they have any influence on their license themes, I know that companies like DC, Marvel, and Lucasfilm/Disney that they are making sets for, tell them what to make. But I don't think their really using one of their properties to strongly, I just want to see if they have intentions on you know, not putting Batman everywhere, or if that's completely up to DC, I'm sure they have some say in it. -
The video game on its own came off as lackluster to me. I'll probably buy it anyways, though.
