Well translucent blue has been around for a while, so I assume they could easily do Sue, and as for Reed, translucent red pieces could be very useful, and if they'd do it for Sue, I'm sure her brother would get the treatment as well. And as for their regular appearances, a promotional poly bag or an early order exclusive can pretty much cover either of them. With only 2 sets and 1 promotional a year for 2 years, they can cover the entire F4 plus variants, so I don't see the demand for a whole wave, though it'd be somewhat appreciated, we would still need a lot for Avengers 2.

I hope you know that was all pure rumor and it has been confirmed that the original source for that was just speculating. I agree, but I have seen enough and read enough to understand why most characters are obscure and why others are not. Comics aren't what they used to be, sure most still sell in the thousands, but they're the same people buying with very few replacing the others that leave their respective fandoms. Based off of both experience and what I've read online, I can tell you that a lot of these popular characters are only really popular because they appeared on the big-screen. Characters aren't really obscure because they aren't interesting, it's just that the general public can only identify with what they see in movies, and if Ant-Man isn't in a movie, then Ant-Man isn't popular. But really, it goes farther than that, because there are some people who read comics that still don't know who some characters are. For instance, take the Avengers, I know plenty of people who started buying comics in turn of it's success. They only read Avengers comics and up until recently wouldn't have known about Ant-Man or found out about him only when he appeared in whatever incarnation of the Avengers they were reading. People only know what's popular because that's all their exposed to, they don't all read comics, in fact, most people who watch these superhero movies don't. And in regard to Brick G's comment about Wonder Woman, she has actually received a lot of positive feedback from her comics. Most readers enjoy who she is, it's just that sales aren't good. And sales aren't good because the cover art is usually really bad for her (though the actual art in the book is usually very good) and others hear "Greek mythology" and just leave, they want your stereotypical superhero-super villain type of thing in comics. And quite frankly, from those who actually read, she gets mostly positive reviews, but most people are I have seen/heard regard her comics say that they want more action-y type stuff. So I can see where you're coming from, but still.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wait, where is that figure from? Is it a custom, it appears to be from the Collectible minifigures series but I know that it's not, I'm so confused where is that from and how did you get it?- 2,626 replies

The thing is, they aren't really "based" on Days Of Future Past, they just use the same characters because both Lego and Marvel know that despite the fact that they don't have the rights to directly use the words Days of Future past or the logo, they can use similiar characters. Do you think we would have gotten a sentinel had DoFP not be coming out this year? Maybe further down the line, but it would probably just be an X-Jet. That being said, are we even sure this is the X-Jet? I would like to question that since quite frankly I don't think it would fit any more than 2 figs. The X-Jet is just one of those sets that has to be $50 or more, as just the main build. Since it is a $50 price point, I'm happy, but half is going to go to the Sentinel (which looks to be worth $25 on its own) and that means the X-jet shouldn't be any bigger than our everyday city helicopter. Which would be a shame, so I hope I'm not crazy in hoping that this is just some made up vehicle and that we get the X-Jet further along the line when both Lego and Marvel are ready to make a proper X-Jet Although despite the size, I can already see myself buying this just for Storm.

Not so big on DR. Strange, but as far as looks go, I think he'd be great. But I haven't read a DR. Strange comic (there was one with him teaming up with some Avenger that I forgot at Barnes and Noble, never got it, though) so I don't know what to expect, hopefully it turns out for the best. But with a rumored Ms. Marvel, and DR. Strange as well as the confirmed Ant Man, how many Avengers should we expect in Avengers 3? Or are these rumored for Avengers 2? So many characters, I'm interested in seeing which get dropped and which stay.

Now to find a good mold for a baby and we're set! Honestly, if the rumored Series 12 is true (I remember some discussion of there being 4 CMF lines coming out this year, anyone else remember this) then I'm sure that dates could be tossed around and there is still an open possibility of us getting the Simpsons CMF's in February.

So lurking around comic vine for a while, I noticed that it was just announced (actually the information was out for a week? or so) that Catwoman and the Penguin are set to appear in "Gotham" come Spring 2014. I think Spring may be a wrong date, but I think I am correct in believing that is when it will appear. Owning Batgirl volume 3 and having read a few Catwoman comics from the new 52 I have to say I hope they don't do one of those "mysterious whore" type thing with her again, and actually show some of her nice side in the show. I also hope the court of owls make an appearance so that Catwoman (with or without Babs) can have her little friendship moment with the Talon Mary. Note that the link below is a link to comic vine, which in turn has a link to the original source, with official wording from FOX's Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly. http://www.comicvine.com/articles/gotham-tv-show-to-include-popular-characters/1100-147884/ One funny little thing I noticed while on comic vine is that on their front-page news they had an article about the Simpsons Lego set, in which they stated that "the house had no news and just sort of popped up" and I felt like signing up just to let their community know that the news had been around for months

That's good I guess, I still feel rather awkward calling it a Ninjago set though, of course that's not relevant to the topic at hand, but whatever.

Oh, well that's interesting. I agree, Doctor Doom is the most likely to be released, and I'm sure we'll get a set to accompany him, hey at this rate we might as well them already, I really want a Sue Storm. I wonder how they'll pull off her invisibility. Probably translucent pieces.

Thanks for that. Wait now I'm confused, is the bike shop a re-build of he cafe, or is it a bike shop - cafe that can be rebuild-ed into a flower shop and auto repair? This is gonna be a good year.

Umm, we're talking about the "Overlord" Chima picture. Maybe I should stop calling it a Chima picture, but how are we sure that black walker-thing is even from Ninjago? It looks so bad

Disney Princess 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm sorry is this money machine a reference to a new set of theirs? I'm so lost, though this theme desperately needs a Snow White and Aurora, I'm sure they'll be the first to come next year, hopefully with a 2nd wave. -

A little question I had earlier that I hope one of you can answer, is the flower shop we're expecting this year a city set or a creator set? Because I think there may have been discussion here, I don't know, I haven't really been keeping up. Anyways, that little glimpse of the train station we saw was great, really hope there's some way I can tie that into the Horizon express. Not that I own HE anyways, though.

Actually that's all a cover-up so the media doesn't find out that Stringer was smuggling Chi across the Eastern side of the Galaxy for money. Also Nex is now a secretary, nothing wrong about that, he just works right next to the janitors office dummy! But seriously, like I said before, too many new molds in one wave, I'm sure the designers just had to prioritize.
-
Hope I played a part in this! Or would we say I played a "Bart" in this? Ok I'll stopAnd thanks for the pictures j2g, I'm sure her mold is interesting, I'll be sure to set her aside with my "favorite" figures once I buy the house!

Thanks, I see the building, hope it has a nice design.
