Oh what I'd do for a Kyle Rayner figure! I see this as sort of god news, but at the rate this theme is going, Lego will have to put in another 2-3 new figures to wow me. Also, this Green Lantern better appear in his own set, or side-by-side with Superman. I think I will literally throw a baby off of a balcony if Lego comes out with a Batman set including: Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn and (ew a new figure) Green Lantern! I think that next year we should be seeing at least 6 sets again. And I'm expecting Cyborg and Martian Manhunter (or Hawkgirl, or a Teen Titan) to appear in next years wave. I'm also hoping Lego raises the bar with these sets, I think I'll go crazy if they give Superman a car.

Which is exactly why I wish they'd make Squirrel Girl. Recently, I've been looking into the Great Lake Avengers. No one seems to take them seriously, though for some reason, Squirrel Girl has remained popular. She appears in the cover of Deadpool getting married (was that released yet? I think it's an April comic) and she's the only GLA that appears in the Lego Marvel game. She isn't "popular" by any means, but she would make one hell of a figure. I think it's the figures they've been making that have brought them negative attention. The Phoenix is is probably how I've always recognized Jean Grey, so making her an exclusive was just dumb. Bizarro and Shazam were basically middle fingers to DC fans. "You won't be getting many non-Batman characters, but when you do, they'll either be movie based, or exclusives". Because that's exactly what the DC line needed. As for ASM Spiderman and Black suit Spiderman, I doubt they'd ever get put in sets, same goes for Black suit Sup's. If you're losing sleep over those figures, then you have unrealistic expectations for this theme. I feel that the Phoenix, Bizarro, Shazam, and Green Arrow were all such disappointments because we actually expected them to be in sets. Of course adding a hood to Shazam, and giving Bizarro the "sleepy heads" hair from the CMF line might fix the problem. But seeing how the line is going I doubt they'd do that. Getting a free raffle figure at SDCC can be fun so long as it isn't someone who needs to be in your collection. I just think Lego (or DC and Marvel) were really bad at prioritizing which figures to put in San Diego.

I would love a Full House home! Though I feel Lego missed their opportunity with that one. I feel like I'm really starting to appreciate the fact that there's just so much Lego can do with their own in (and out) of home IP's that I'm starting to feel like Lego only has a million more surprises for us after current Licenses expire! And a modular house from "Up" would be.... amazing! I would love for a wide-spread Disney theme that can bring in sets from several Disney movies and the like. Something called "Disney forever" or "Disney World, world of Bricks" or "The Disney life" would be good. The first wave can bring in a Pinocchio set, as well as something from Animated favorites like "Up" and "Monsters Inc". We could even see the revival of Toy Story! And eventually, somewhere along the lines, a Monsters University!

I'm surprised no one here is even trying to assume what this year will bring in for SDCC. I may go, and if I do, I would just love a Squirrel Girl. No new molds, and she would require leg printing, and could do (or could go just as easily not) with back printing. She seems to qualify. But what I've realized is that discussion of future SDCC figures is pretty limited. They always appear with no wonder of who they might have been about a week before the Con, so there's no "rumor" to back up their discussion in a thread like this. And we can't really assume who we will get in a thread like "who would you like to see" because that's a thread where we discuss who we want to see, not who we think we'll see. And the starting a new thread would be very awkward. So here I am, throwing my dime around randomly.

News LEGO CREATOR 2014 News & Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well doesn't Creator usually only include brick-built animals (aside from Modular's)? The Seaside house and Family house did, but I guess it's just on Lego to include new animal molds/colors in other themes. Friends seems to be doing a good job, but they aren't completely compatible with regular animals. -
Polybag time! Pandora's Box - Comes with Pandora and her box, maybe some sort of nod to Argus, I dunno. Dr. Zoom - Comes with Dr. Zoom and some blur lines, no accessories whatsoever, the lines themselves would be a little too much for piece count Waves of Atlantis - Comes with a more modernized Aquaman, the Sleepy heads hair in Blond, some battle scars and a brick-built wave. Dr. Pamela Isley - Comes with Pamela that looks near identical to "The Penguins" custom (I do love that custom) and a little table with some chemicals and whatnot. And finally I would love to see Kismet in the background of a Lego poster. Since Superman #500 was the first comic I ever received, I would just love to see her get a nod in Lego. But since she's no real "character" that anyone knows (did she even appear in comics out of "Back from the Dead"?) I would at least like to see her in the background of a poster, maybe one advertising a future wave with Superman fighting Braniac? Which also leads me to want a Superman vs. Braniac set, oh and I'd also love a Cheetah while you're at it Lego.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Then wouldn't Yoda believing that no one can speak beyond the grave also be a plot hole? Or does he mean Jedi can't mentally communicate beyond the grave? That description really messed with my mind. -
Thanks TheLazyChicken for these images! For some odd reason or another your link only showed me half of the set, so thanks J2g for the completed image. Can I just say, wow. The Battle for Ninjago city is just so, so, amazing! Is it possible to fall in love with a Lego set? I think I just did, and Nya my beautiful you're back! I can't wait to own this set. And as for 70727, I hate the regular build, but all I can think about the alternate model is "Power Rangers Must have!". I can't wait to own that set, but it won't be the actual car I'll be purchasing it for.

LEGO Ultra Agents 2014
Freddy Bricker replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the images J2g and TheLazyChicken! That building looks hideous, but I can get behind that helicopter. I think I also spy a Hazmat suit. And I agree with obsidianheart, I would love for the "Toxixtita" set to include a lead female villain, if that's what he meant by "slime face". -
Sorry for bumping this thread, and also sorry for knowing I would be messing up the forums ad continuing anyways but I just really had to pitch in a suggestion. At first, I thought Lego already had all the good licenses. With DC, Star Wars, the Hobbit and Lotr, what more could they introduce? And then, yesterday it hit me. I was playing Pokemon X (and this morning I was watching the "anime") when I thought to myself "hey Freddy, wouldn't you love a Lego Pokemon gym?". And I've come here to say yes, yes I would. I would love to own a large brick-built theme-park gym ala the Nimbasa city gym. There is countless amount of sets Lego could produce for Pokemon, that the amount of different themes to cover in Lego alone could last around 6-8 years! Which brings me to the question, "how would Lego introduce such a theme"?. Do they start in Generation 1 with a "Pallet Town" set including Professor Oak's Lab, or do they start off with Gen. 6? For a theme like this, Lego would need to release certain new molds for the smaller Pokemon (Pikachu, Pachirisu, Minun and Plusle) and brick-built versions (similar to Chima's legend beast's) of Legendary Pokemon like Kyogre, Deoxys (construction maybe?) and Kyurem (yes I know I'm all over the Pokemon world in terms of examples here). Lego would also be able to make gym's, Indigo Plateau and other Pokemon Leagues (with the elite 4 maybe? :), as well as brick-built Pokemon and individual Town''s in which players begin their journeys in a respective region. There is so much Lego could do with this License and with Pokemon still being very popular today (ignore YouTuber's comments of how Gen. 1 was the only one that there ever was) and with there being so much Lego could do, I'd say to get this theme started before Kree-o or Kn'ex (is that how you spell it?) ruin it for me. Also, I hope this thread stays very much alive as now I am realizing that there's more to Lego licensing than Batman, Rapunzel, and anthropomorphic turtles. Hope I wasn't a bother, I just wanted to put my 10 cents in, because like I've said before, what better to do with a dime?

<p> Seriously, we should be teaching people how to use spoiler tags but even then I'm sure they "spoil" something. This isn't a country club, stop the spoiling! No offense to anyone, really. It's just that even confirming my speculation is false sort of ruins the movie for me. Let a man dream...

I agree, though I expected him in a different color, have we seen images of the Phoenix's yet? Above posts imply so but I can't seem to find a place where they were posted.

"That man can read the phone book and make it sound interesting", hilarious! Though I feel stupid never having known that Vitruvius was actually an architect during the renaissance. Obviously the moving of his hands while reading the book was CGI, I think I'm starting to better distinguish what could actually be done with bricks and what can't. The movie itself looks so great, and so funny! "Like all my movies I was the main character" says an egotistical delusional Batman, keep dreaming Bruce! And Unikitty! Gotta love that Unikitty, but just for the record I do believe she that her "big secret" is that she is either the actual chosen one (though that's not likely) or evil. Either that or she's actually a Uni-Puppy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm unsure if she appeared in the 80's cartoon, but I know that she did appear in the 2007 TMNT animated film, and she has appeared prominently in their comics for years, so she isn't a made up character, if that was what you were trying to get behind. And was Leatherhead a character before this? I'm not big on the Turtles so I wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't aware of his presence. -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks, but it seems he had his post edited! Can't wait to own that Karai, and I agree the previous posts that Baxters Robot Rampage is a great place to start, the build is great (though the legs aren't that sturdy) and April, Don and Baxter are great starter figs, it was also the first TMNT set I bought, and the only other one I have is Shredders Dragon bike (which has a very awkward design). -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the images J2g! I'll certainly be picking up all of the T.V show sets, love that Karai! Anyone else notice the "Broadway" sign in set 79118? Loving all the detail, but may I ask where exactly it is that you found these images from? Maybe a site I'd like to keep my eye on. -
Seeing as how you work for Lego, and you stated that the 1st half of 2015 is done, and you stated that the "real question is: will there be a year 4 (and 5..?)" I'm going to make one wild assumption, that we will be getting a wave 3. You said that waves 4 and 5 are unsure of, and I read that as "wave 3 isn't!" So tell me if I'm reading into this too much, because I believe we were just confirmed 2015 Chima sets, and if so, then that would be amazing! Thanks so much for being on the forums, you're the 3rd LEGO designer I've seen on the boards.

^ Are you referring to Agent 13? If so then I agree, though I'm sure they'll establish a very definitive timeline for the show in order to avoid confusion to those who just watch to watch.

Disney Princess 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Freddy Bricker replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yes! I would completely fall in love with a Maleficient, an evil witch-mother, and Cinderella's evil Stepmother! Not to mention what a lovely detail the horse would have been, don't friends already have a special mold for horses? Haven't seen Brave yet (and I don't live under a rock) so I have no idea what I should've expected in that set, but it looks fine enough to fill in the "action" slot for me, but then again, I haven't even seen the movie. -
I can see what you mean, yes Batman is extremely profitable, and I believe they should be riding on that success to introduce new characters, I'm not expecting obscure characters, I just find it ridiculous how we can barely even see popular ones. And as for your comment about Spiderman, I prefer Batman over him any day, that particular sentence really did make me laugh! When I said I wished Lego would have dropped the line and brought it back, I meant the whole Superheroes line, not just DC, and I'm pretty sure that was clearly stated, as I never said I just wanted DC to be dropped, I wanted the whole line to be dropped and brought back with revisions (specifically on DC's side). I agree now that perhaps "evergreen" is indeed something to look forward to and hopefully this years wave can allow for more diversity in the future. I never stated however, that I preferred Spiderman over Batman. And the fact that Spiderman isn't even half of this years Marvel sets (altogether, not in waves) makes me wonder why people think he's getting over-saturated. I prefer Batman's character, design, and villains more so than Spidermans, but Parker does bring something to the table that is obviously what I believe is lacking in this theme, diversity! The reason I'm completely fine with Spiderman getting plenty of sets is because they'll (probably) be based off of USM, where he fights alongside other heroes (does anyone else here SERIOUSLY think we would've gotten Iron Fist in our first wave had it not been for the show?) and villains (like Doctor Doom, and Venom) who's character ranges far out from Spiderman. These characters are useful for plenty of things, it's not like we're getting just Spiderman in his sets, which is why I was all for him getting exposed more of him. Please don't assume I like something better than something else based off of context clues in my sentences, if I don't directly state something, please don't speak for me, thank you. And as for the sets, I've heard rumbling of another Toy Fair (sounded like a European name) coming up next week, can anyone confirm this and whether or not we will be hearing anything Guardians of the Galaxy related there?
