That trully looks awesome! Did Blackbird help you with the half-transparent picture of motors and functions? I think a video would do the model justice. -

That piece looks shaped just like the hub pieces... Does a CV joint fit in the split? Sorry for offtopic, just curious- 12 replies

Technic General Discussion
Zerobricks replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I've just looked at the offical Lego technic webpage, and they uploaded some funny videos: http://www.lego.com/en-US/mediaplayer/video/51b7a519d16e4cf5b504c2ae710fbe94?autoplay=false&instanceName=fulldetailsvideo36084b0200fb4d298f97a7780b2ce10c&activateLargeScreen=false&showControls=true&forceNativeOnIPad=false http://www.lego.com/en-US/mediaplayer/video/d50f9e9bd1b54c8da7a3fdd9d85d801b?autoplay=false&instanceName=fulldetailsvideof7380d545ba54bc6927a643d65c0bcc6&activateLargeScreen=false&showControls=true&forceNativeOnIPad=false http://www.lego.com/en-US/mediaplayer/video/661c270593e14c80a25e03d3b2e05e33?autoplay=false&instanceName=fulldetailsvideo020791d31ee648fdad6329fb1490282b&activateLargeScreen=false&showControls=true&forceNativeOnIPad=false http://www.lego.com/en-US/mediaplayer/video/f6a2a3ba134d4eed9f25799c71a116d5?autoplay=false&instanceName=fulldetailsvideod4727652b9534443a5008b57b2868eed&activateLargeScreen=false&showControls=true&forceNativeOnIPad=false http://www.lego.com/en-US/mediaplayer/video/4869cbd7ae5c4ad8890a577e519cbde1?autoplay=false&instanceName=fulldetailsvideoa5367045114845fe892220d3a85dbe08&activateLargeScreen=false&showControls=true&forceNativeOnIPad=false http://www.lego.com/en-US/mediaplayer/video/ad20431120e94e7f93ac02bbe205a840?autoplay=false&instanceName=fulldetailsvideo57c7aa78a4d743a3b7ad21261df37e09&activateLargeScreen=false&showControls=true&forceNativeOnIPad=false -
Servo Motor & Turntables
Zerobricks replied to doug72's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Or put another gear between 12 and 28z turntable gear... Also an 8 tooth gear and turntable are pretty much aligned in an L shape diagonal connection. -
Here's a thing I built in LDD in 10 minutes... I used the flexible 3,2 tubes for the frame and cowered them with loads of dish parts. In order to get the super-white color in LDD I used a bugged brick color I think it could look neat on some table somewhere!

Sure, just go to file Import model, or press Ctrl + I. -
Manias in building?
Zerobricks replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I am at a loss here, because I have no such symptoms... I dont care if a model is built from different sets, its asymetrical, how pins are aligned and if colors match (except I tend to use new gray where possible)... Only thing I do is with cross pins, where there are higher loads is to to orient them so they dont get squeezed, but thats only where needed... -
Well done! We dont see many tatras at this medium scale, and you did a really good job. The total gear ratio is 1:3, right? Those wheels are actually a good choice, because unlike the bigger 94,8 ones, these are from softer rubber AFAIK. Good work with syncronizing the audio and video too. Only thing I would like to see is this beast's belly and underparts

Zerobricks replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Props to Rebrickable for an instant approval, so here's the link so you guys can make your own model: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/zblj/coyote-4x4x4 P.S. Jim can you remove the WIP from the topic's name? Thanks! -

Zerobricks replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you Mac I submitted the model to Rebrickable, as soon as its approved I will add a link. It might be lighter, yes, but in this case battery boxes also act as structual parts for the chassis. Thanks mate, you are really supportive -
Great use of teh octopus part! Very creative, I like it.

Wow, really amazing creations! I think you will feel at home here

Its been a while... But here are the new pictures and the video I improved model a bit, raising its ground clearance and removing some parts on the underbody, so its harder for it to get lodged As usual I also made an LDD file, which you can download here. -
These look really great. The first two are the best ones IMO, but remember Lego already made an exo-suit not too long ago...
-
Wow, awesome shape. I like the rear engine shapes and all the greebbling.

[REVIEW] 42050 - Drag Racer
Zerobricks replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
For me most susprising thing in the set are 3L axles with stop... I dont really understand why they created a part so simillar to an existing one? How are they used in this model? Cant the normal 3L axle with stud be used in their place?
