  1. I can see how a second copy of this set could be converted easily into a Pipe Layer, similar to the Volvo one. I like it and just waiting for the normal 3rd off on Amazon to pick up a couple of copies.
  2. Giving that many of the review sites appear to all be missing the Wile E Coyote it must be a production issue, likely at the end of the packing line they realised they had a whole load of Wile E Coyote left over and were scratching their heads..... I can only assume someone filled the picking/packing bin with the wrong figure. Not an ideal start. Will be interesting to see who wide this issue is. Many kids could be disappointed if this is Lego's way of making a rare charactrer!
  3. Apart from bits of old cardboard looking naff under the feet of the tables, have you considered replacing the plastic tube ends in the table legs with version. They are quite low cost and you've already spend money on nice tables, could be a better solution. Appreciate it's too late now to solve the warped baseplate issue. https://www.vital-parts.co.uk/for-tubes-set---set032-13651-p.asp?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIztvN16327wIVZWHmCh0eHwxqEAQYASABEgJSJPD_BwE
  4. We are looking at a Green and White remake of the 42070 which was not a great seller from memory, just modernised for Control+ and a license to increase the price a bit more. mmmmmm not even a crane in sight. We always live in hope these prelim images are not the final thing....but too often they are close to reality. American Tow Truck could be the star of the technic lineup this year.
  5. If that image on the web is real, it does not look a very big Dozer for a 4000 piece set. The yellow tracks kind of lead the image to be a possibility. but it looks quite junior in design/image. Im not sure. Might be a year when the non flagship set is the best set of the year.
  6. Took a bit of searching, but found it in the end. Truck looks great, love the addition of some pneumatics, but now the crane looks too big in comparison to the scale of the truck. Maybe it's just mounted high on the truck to allow for the lift on the back. But with 42070 we had a big heavy duty truck with a piddly little crane, and now we have the reverse. I'm ok with the colour scheme, I quite like the way the side outriggers fold into the body of the truck. Try rear axle is a nice design. Just wish Lego would take another look at their hook offering. Those little plastic hooks could surely be improved on.
  7. I would have preferred the B model without the backhoe part, I think just a regular plough or a working three point lift would have been enough. Sometimes I think it would not hurt that a couple of parts extra in the set would improve the B model massively. But nice to see B models back.
  8. wow, little more that can be said.......the number of hours to just assemble this set......
  9. Where sales outside of USA will be almost zero..... I think some kind of plate which can either accept lego train tracks or even just rails, or maybe even moulded in rails is a likely thing at some point as I'm sure they would look to have a level crossing for trains, which merges into the new road plate system.
  10. Ordered mine on the 1st as well, and it took about 2 weeks. At least I did not get hit with a Duty or VAT invoice on delivery, so we should consider ourselfs lucky!
  11. Feedback 309 orders, Member since 16th Jan 2005, Member for 5852 Days An order every 19 days....ahhhh, I'm not as bad as AmperZand but I'm not far off.... And I thought I was not using Bricklink much......
  12. lol, who would think a battery box review would turn into ongoing source of entertainment.....
  13. I too am seeing this more and more, I got around to builiding the 2019 technic set 42092 Rescue Helecopter the other week. I was quite disappointed to find the white panels in the set a different colour. Both the Panel 1 were a milky white (I assume they changed the colour on the molding machine, but did not flush the old colour out before starting production, and both the panel 2 were bright normal white. I do need to contact Lego customer services, but I almost feel like I'm contacting them too often at the moment, it's at least once or twice a year. The last time, I was building the Big red flagship crane from the other year, and one of the bag 4's was completely missing from the set, but I had 2 of another of the bag 4's. It's awful to say, but you think they won't believe you when you contact them too often. but when you buy a lot of sets, it's definately noticable how many more issues there are now days. Posting this has just encouraged me to report to Lego ;-)
  14. Based on the 1 review left on the Lego webshop, it's not exactly going to assist sales, lol
  15. I just can't really see a hospital, I just don't think it fits in a row of shop fronts. I think to do it properly, it needs a larger building because there are so many departments required in a hospital. The same for a school. I don't really recall the scenario where you would have a school in a row of shops. I think that might remain in the friends lineup. For me the obvious missing buildings are Post Office (surely Lego read forums and have seen the mention of a post office for the past 10 years) Vintage Toy shop (although we had a toy department in the Grand Emporium I like the suggestions above of the record shop and the ice cream parlour as well. They would work well.
  16. I'm kind of wondering with the release of the new road plates in the City lineup this year, I wonder if we may get a version with track slots or moulded in so they can release a level crossing accessory? I'm very sceptical about any patterns people sometimes see in lego releases around the train line. Fingers crossed for something this year.
  17. yes, I'm getting a star wars banner on the technic page, I thought it was only me......
  18. I love it, like national lampoons Christmas vacation getting the tree on the car
  19. I can clearly see you have many many hours of love and passion in this build but I don’t get it. Structurally it’s impressive, and the weight of the wheel cantilevered over the lighthouse on the wave must have been a challenge and it would be good to see how the other end is secured but I don’t get the art side of the model. I had similar issues when I visited the art of the brick exhibition in NYC back in 2013. But always good to see how someone else is using the media of bricks.
  20. Order placed on shop at home.....now the wait......
  21. I usually wait until these big sets get a 1/3rd off discount before pulling the trigger, but I've been waiting a while for 10261 Roller Coaster, and apart from a £50 dicount at Smyths toys last year, it's still not seen much discount, (Amazon ones have beel listed above MSRP) but just before Christmas, I bit the bullet and ordered it from John Lewis with the £50 off, I'm sure it's days are numbered now.
  22. Definately the first good picture I've seen of the Technic Polybag and I'm pleased to see this, but I'm not 100% sure it can be claimed as the first ever Technic Polybag, I think there were a couple 20 years ago.
  23. I'm really liking the road network they are developing, I'm just interested to see how they are going to do anything other than a T junction or a Cross Road/Intersection. I'm struggling to see how they will do a Roundabout or a Curve, without some custom parts? In terms of the Transporter, The Truck cab looks good, but the trailer has definately been designed to a budget, alway clear when there is a single axle on the trailer. And then the car......mmmm, looks a bit like one of those cars which can become a boat. Shops look good, loving the bike shop and the mountain bike mould coming again in another colour. The bakery is also tidy. Interesting they are bringing back glow in the dark bricks again. I guess this is the 1x2 plate which is part of the street light? The light maintainance van is also nicely designed.
  24. Whilst I love a chancer, I think this person listing a Bell 42113 for £25k GBP is a little optimistic. They are certainly right in saying it's the most expensive set ever......if anyone was stupid enough to pay their asking price. I do wonder what people are thinking when another person lists the same set buy it not for £500 They appear to be selling for £400 - £500 at the moment in the UK on the ebay market. You do ave to laugh, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lego-42113-Technic-Bell-Boeing-Osprey-Most-Expensive-Lego-Set-Ever/333798198185?epid=2310801034&hash=item4db7ec4ba9:g:1AUAAOSwoMhfR9Di
