  1. SO decidedly not the accursed Rebellions fault then Also another question. All in all what would you reckon the cost of this beastie to be? I'm half thinking of buying the pieces and building this badboy or something similar? Also is it stable and swooshable or mainly a display piece?
  2. To me the design is fine but looking over many pictures of AT-AT the one part that is slightly too short is the cylinder bit that rests on the dish of foot proper and connects to the leg by two arches. I get the sense the feet should be slightly taller, I don't know why though. By the way what happened to the conning tower and bridge of the Tyrant? I just noticed they're missing?
  3. Wow excellent catch. Yeah they do appear to be more in line with Sabine's design. My theory from the fleet in the final trailer is Pheonix Squadron. Maybe these pilots are apart of it? OR maybe it's apart of individual pilot's designs. I understand Dave Filoni wanted Sabine to have been the one who designed Bigg's helmet so maybe she had designed other pilot's helmets too? EDIT: I double checked the current U-Wing Pilot and he doesn't have the Alliance Symbol so he still could be apart of it.
  4. Gorgeous model! As usual you prove your skill with these bricks is undeniable, this is one of the slickest AT-AT's i've seen. Despite not being to mini figure scale this looks great next to the AT-ST and with all the figures in it! The only place it looks a little strange is the figure by the foot but even then it's still fantastic. I've never expected TLG to make a mini figure scale AT-AT but I hope in the next rendition they veer (pun intended) larger like yours even if the set is $150. Compared to yours the last AT-AT looks puny and malnourished.
  5. Wait that standard rebel pilot's helmet on the U-Wing Pilot is a new pattern right?
  6. Dark Force Rising - If you read any Star Wars EU read the original Thrawn Trilogy, incredible. It really feels as close to a Star Wars movie as any of the books have ever gotten. If you want to read any SW EU/ Legends I would recommend: The Thrawn Trilogy (Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command) Set Five years after Return of the Jedi The X-Wing Quadrilogy (Rogue Squadron, Wedge's Gamble, The Krytos Trap, and The Bacta Wars.) Set a year or so after Return of the Jedi so if you want to go chronologically read these before Thrawn. Shadows of the Empire (Never read it but I've only ever heard great things) Set during Empire Strikes Back and the time between ESB and Return of the Jedi. Honorable Mentions: Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, The Truce at Bakura, and The Courtship of Princess Leia I would agree that it's a terrible adaptation but I have to say it's a brilliant movie. It's subjective I know and I totally respect your opinion and that you dislike it I'm only saying this for the people who haven't seen it. Just know it's it's a satire and has the coolest aliens of almost any sci fi.
  7. The Fog - The second scariest movie about condensation in my opinion, just behind the Mist. The Thing - I just watched this a short while ago but it really is my favorite horror film so was a must on Halloween. Also a much better John Carpenter film then the Fog. Its honestly pretty great and despite being a remake somehow still feels very unique compared to most American films. Of course there are things changed to better fit American culture and what many Americans find acceptable. Eli's gender and sex I believe are made unquestionably female in the american version whereas the Swedish version deals a lot with themes of gender fluidity. Just as with the American version of The Grudge its different to the original and yet still a high quality film.
  8. You may want to check out the second and third season of SW Rebels then, as both are far better then the first season, and actually deal with some Clone Wars stuff.
  9. Intense diorama! I'm digging all of the mismatched paint jobs on the rebel star fighters and airspeeders!
  10. Hahaha these are all incredible! I particularly love the Steampunk one. Do you have a photo of the whole line up?
  11. Wow very cool, love the death star in the background! I especially enjoy the emperor's face for the selfie
  12. I love the lighting technique using the lighter grey!
  13. I don't personally love the idea, especially because it feels strange for Rex to be relegated to the background as such and Filoni's reasoning is bizarre. I mean why wouldn't there be tons of old men in the Rebel Alliance fighting on the front lines. I mean look at the US civil war, while the majority were probably young people as with every war waged, there were tons of older men enlisting especially for the confederates where it's an every man must fight situation (that's not a political statement just a historical one). The rebels needed every man and woman who could hold a blaster and if someone had extensive combat experience I would imagine that would make them an asset worthy of being considered a commando despite age. But if it does turn out to be retconned to Rex i'll be alright with it because I really love Rex as a character and honestly and its not the most egregious change made in the new canon.
  14. I've always believed exclusives are generally an awful idea especially when it's one of the main protagonists. First of all it's not fair for children whose families can only afford to buy them smaller or a limited amount of the larger sets and this is primarily a children's product that's accessible for adults. When I was a kid SW sets gave us so many amazing small sets with the important players. The Final Duel I & II, the Jabba Palace add on's, and the tiny Phantom Menace sets to name a few. Stormtroopers. Darth Vader, Zeb, Ashoka, Han Solo, the Emperor, Lando Calrissian, Princess Leia, imperial officers, and Grand Moff Tarkin should never be exclusive to the really expensive sets or in general. Now a few of these are going to be in cheaper sets soon but still the point remains. The best way in my eyes to do exclusives is how they did it in the Jabba's Palace and Sail Barge a few years back with lots of amazing looking background characters or variations on costumes of protagonists. The Death Star is a great example where one of the exclusive is the LBG imperial officer. You make a lot of really cool figures and they'll sell just as well as a main character. If you disagree imagine a kid trying to recreate ANH with his figures but whoops, he doesn't have Princess Leia or Grand Moff Tarkin or imperial officers. That's obviously a first world problem but still... EDIT: If the only way to boost sales is to tie important characters to one set, particularly an expensive one, then that's terrible. Look at the Marvel or DC sets for instance. A set should sell by design not figure selection.
  15. Its really funny you used that face because according to Dave Filoni that old bearded guy on Endor, which that head is supposed to represent, is apprarently going to be retconned to be Rex.
  16. Let the Right One In. I watched the American version 'Let Me In' years ago and loved it but now seeing the original Swedish movie...The Swedish version may be one of my favorite movies of all time!
  17. FTL....I have not beat it since I bought the game on launch not even on easy mode.
  18. Wow really clean and well made scene! The sleekness also helps make the hodgepodge battle droids stand out more as being walking junk.
  19. Well what's funny is the whole scene with Vader at the conference table choking the one admiral for being cocky, totally foreshadowed the ending of the film. Luke was able to destroy the death star because of the force. Darth Vader was right the whole time, and Tarkin in his own blind arrogance didnt listen. Travis you make a good point though. The Empire also could've simply driven the rebels into hiding with an orbital bombardment as the Death Star got into position, backed the fleet off, and then fired.
  20. I would totally agree. I just recently watched the new Ghostbusters and it was disappointingly average. However there is enough good material and cool aspects to it that I would love to see a sequel. Gods of Egypt - Oh god where to begin.
  21. I added a bunch of great Star Trek websites to the first post. If anyone knows of reputable sites to add just let me know and i'll include them in the original post.
  22. Extraordinary molded helmet but i'm not digging that black band above the visor, a bit of an eyesore. I'm sure it's accurate to the film design though so I commend Lego's designer on an excellent job.
  23. Absolutely love Walking Dead, day one fan here! I didnt watch the episode but I heard who Negan picked.
  24. I think these all caps words would certainly help support the weight on the legs.
  25. I feel that Rogue One is going to have to address the exhaust port at some point at the least in passing reference. I was talking with some people who think Galen Erso purposely designed the weakness. Personally I don't think so mostly because of the size of the exhaust port. With so many people involved in construction and with as many high ranking, intelligent eyes watching such as Krennic I don't it's possible such a weakness could be deliberate. I think the exhaust port serves a crucial purpose in relation to the super laser but I do believe Galen Erso is going to be the person who points it out to the rebels.
