Saw Rogue One and no spoilers, but there is plenty for TLG to produce sets from. Actually oddly enough there are more set possibilities to pull from this I think then the Force Awakens. There are so many opportunities for Imperial Officers with various rank pips that ai hope we see leer ranks.

Rogue One...Incredible movie!
-
Just saw it...WOW! Absolutely loved every bit. The first act was definitely a bit rough and scattered but still pretty dang good. The other two acts and especially the finale were beyond perfect! I live by the motto that a great war movie like a great horror film cannot have a happy ending. Did Rogue One deliver on that promise. After reading Catalyst and understanding Tarkin and Krennic's absolute loathing for each other, seeing Tarkin knowingly kill Krennic was actually rather satisfying. Seeing Krennic look up and realize the project he worked nearly his entire career producing was going to kill him was also a brilliant way to kill off a villain! That final scene with Vader will remain perhaps as one of the greatest in all of Star Wars! I did not feel any of the fan service was forced at all. Sure the Ponda Baba one felt a little in your face but eh, whatever. I highly, highly doubt it. Not only did the bulk of the rebel fleet not manage to escape but Admiral Raddus's flagship was crippled.

I've just seen Rogue One and I believe the Lego model is accurate to one of the U-Wings we see in the film. One is heavily white wheras the other I could make out has much more dark blue markings. Definitely! : )
-
They should've just gone and made it closer to its actual scale without trying to make it so it would fit the Ghost. The end result of that looks absolutely dreadful.
-
The two month delay isnt as bad as what happened last year. We didnt even get half the sets until four months after.
-
No im not typically a purist but I do want to make the mod look as seamless as possible. What brand of marker do you use?
-
I love the environment you've built. The first shot almost looks like a Rogue One glory shot (that first one they released a year ago when they first showed off the rebels).
-
Very clever idea. You have made great use of Mixel joints from this to your AT-ST.
-
Anyone have any ideas on how to add yellow pips to Thrawn's rank badge? I was thinking of maybe cutting the yellow sticker that comes with the Phantom and carefully putting them on the necessary three pips.

Review | LEGO 75170 Star Wars ● THE PHANTOM
Forresto replied to Brick Ministry's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The Phantom appears to be a great set, although the under carriage of the cockpit is ghastly, but not pleased with the price. I will certainly still pay to get Thrawn and the other two figures but i'm not keen, at least not in the same way I was with the AT-ST. -
I have not seen the movie yet, going tomorrow so excited , but from all the photos i've seen it appears TLG's model is correct. Perhaps like Thrawn the preproduction U-Wing has much more white and less blue? I wish I could double check but i'm not googling anything involved with Rogue One til tomorrow night.
-
If not for Thrawn I doubt I would ever buy the Phantom at that price point ouch.

I extended the cylinders of the engines back by an additional circle piece (the same type used currently at the front of the engines) and I'm also planning on extending the wings out by six or eight studs. The problem when attempting to extend the wings with the current model is sag. The internal wing structure needs to be strengthened somehow to keep them up. I would like to at some point modify the troop bay to hold at least six figures in total, although i'm at a loss of how to do that without ruining the proportions of the ship. I also want to make access to the troop bay far easier as right now getting even one figure in is a real pain.
-
Oh I hope you don't take my meaning as detrimental in regards to your original model. As i've said before I think this AT-AT is one of the best i've ever seen in Lego and I would argue that its on par with Cavegod's monstrous Moc! You are absolutely correct, i'm trying to widen the margin in the size of this next to my heavily mocified AT-ST that is nine inches tall. Even if it extends the proportions slightly too far I'm going to try and boost the AT-AT up at least an inch. Nothing too heavy, it will largely depend on what this next to my AT-ST looks like. So excited I got holiday pay so I may be able to order pieces today.

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion
Forresto replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Question, if you feature your character briefly, lets say as a hologram in one shot, does the free build or build still count towards being judged? -
The original MOC looks fantastic but I think my first mod is going to be lengthen the legs slightly and make the feet larger to boost the height another two inches. I don't know if that will be proportional yet.
-
Well we weren't sure but with a recent turn of events theres a new hope amongst fans he will...

I was just looking at my Visual Guide to the Force Awakens and my Essential Atlas and noticed something rather peculiar. Ilum and Starkillerbase inhabit the exact same position in both glactic maps. They are both ice planets. The upsated canon map stays true to the original atlas map so clearly they must certainly be the same.

8039 Venator... worst set ever.. needs help.
Forresto replied to broomhandle's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would argue that there were many good sets in 2008 including the first UCS Death Star and the battlepacks and the AT-AP. All being said I do agree the Venator is one of the single worst TLG designs ever. While overpriced Assault on Hoth is not as horrible as that overweight star destroyer! (Nothing wrong with being overweight, but when your model is five times thicker then the source material that's a problem. -
I really doubt they'll put Boba Fett in a set that will be on shelves simultaneously with the Skiff set.
-
I'm not completely sold on the FO battle pack. Sorta wished Flame Troopers had stayed exclusive to the larger sets since they're such specialists. However I won't begrudge TLG, for in the end we'll all benefit from it without a doubt. There must have been a surplus in production. I hope the officers are the grey uniformed ones. I am absolutely excited for the Bounty Hunter BP but i'm not holding high expectations. While the prospect sounds incredible, I have to remind myself this is a $13 set.
-
For all swearwords actually. So if you simply type megablocks they'll never know if you're megablocks cursing or just putting megablocks randomly in the middle of a sentence! I am still assembling my parts but I would like to voice my appreciation for all the hard work everyone has put in to make this model accessible to the public.

I love many things about the prequels and embrace the prequels and Original Trilogy getting better ties to each other...but Jar Jar Binks is a big old no!
-
AT-ACT seems to be a fairly significant and marketable vehicle. If TLG doesn't produce a model at some point i'll be very surprised. I have no way of knowing but I feel like the Imperial Hover Tank and such will not feature quite so much but still has a set.
