Beyond happy to have a lobster piece! Between the Penguin and Lobster mold I can't contain how happy I am with TLG right now. I'm assuming this thread is only for real world animals but as far as creatures go there maybe a molded rathtar in a summer Star Wars set. If you don't know what they are, a Rather is basically an angry ball of tentacles and teeth. We don't get usually get new molds for Star Wars animals so thought i'd share it. If there is an elephant in the upcoming jungle sub theme I do hope they keep the original mold which is perfect.

DK: Rogue One, The Ultimate Visual Guide Book
Forresto replied to Ahzeal's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I would wholeheartedly suggest buying this book if you are into the Star Wars visual guides. Possible one of the best released so far just for the visual references provided. -
I just finished the Man in High Castle Season 2! It was really well done and definitely a step up from season 1. The show does such a compelling job at presenting the alternate history as a horrifyingly real and breathing world. The season finale was much better this time around, and while last season had a great finale this pushed the bar way up. Sorry guys wrong thread. I thought this was the television series thread

Wolfenstein: The New Order What an amazing game!

I have never played but I know the basis of the story and I love the idea!

"Now you See Me 3" ....... My actual answer is: "Here Comes the Navy". That's James Cagney!

The Sixth Sense - Brilliant movie. M. Night is a fantastic director and even though he's had a few flops and bad ones I don't think he deserves nearly any of the vitriol and hatred he receives.

I sorta feel that if the two groups, the Ghost Crew and Saw Gerrera, were television shows then the Ghost Crew are very much the Original Series of Star Trek and Saw Gerrera should be the Deep Space Nine. To explain the Ghost Crew are very idealistic and above board with their actions typically but they are cowboys in space that are willing to get into a tustle and duke it out with fists. Whereas Saw Gerrera is the very realistic rebel/insurgent character who should be far darker and much grittier by comparison. Saw is that in Rogue One. I didnt get that from him in Rebels. Unfortunately while Rebels CAN get pretty real and more adult they made Saw much less then what he is later. For me I feel that the Ghost crew should have been the kids show and when Saw shows up he is the adult show if that makes any sense. His introduction on the show should have been the slap in the face to the Ghost Crew to take a look around and wake up. The Empire is horrible, look at this genocide they committed against the Geonosians, the Empire needs to be stopped at all costs. All in all I enjoyed the episodes but not nearly as much as I had hoped. My problem with Rebels as a show is usually they so close to greatness with episodes and if there were small tweaks here and there with portrayal it would be there but so often they fall just short and its frustrating.

A Grand Moff Tarkin figure. Very excited, that's my favorite character from the OT and the figure from the new Death Star UCS isnt easy to find at the moment.

That is gorgeous and at this scale looks fantastically detailed! Well done!

Back in the day they used to put real magnets on some sets. I do believe I heard or read somewhere they stopped because of it being somewhat "dangerous" but I don't know if that was rumor or true Lego mandate.

To many of us the Jedi Robe dilemma has been a long running issue. How does one effectively make Ben Kenobi appear to have a long robe? However I think we may be getting a taste of what Lego's future solution for that maybe. To create the effect of the lab coat the legs are dual molded so that the bottom half are the color of the pants and the top half the color of the coat. Then the pants color is printed in the middle of the top half creating the effect that the figure is wearing a coat. Unfortunately there appears to be one downside. The technique is most effective when the coat or robe is a lighter color and the pants are darker. With Obi Wan we would have the reverse situation that leads to the robe printing appearing washed out on a darker plastic. I don't see this as a huge issue as that is what we get anyways and this technique would make the figure more appealing from every angle then what we have.

Maybe not big in length or width but that ship is dense and has lots of weirdly shaped pieces. I could see them making a fairly detailed model for that price...hopefully.
-
Oddly enough the height is canon now as it corresponds with the same height they have in Rogue One...according to the visual guide.

So we finally got the first snow of winter and while it was a lame storm I decided to get some shots of the AT-AT outside. Not Hoth necessarily but we can pretend its a tundra planet. I have to say the model is pretty durable. I foolishly took a short cut and slipped down a twenty foot slope and this baby survived completely intact. It wasnt a bad slip, like i'm completely fine as I was on my butt the whole time and landed in snow. Seeing the walker in the snow made it all worth it!

They are on r/legoleaks

Okay I found them having not seen them originally. The freemaker sets look okay but its the figures that are important. One of them straight up looks like a Tie Phantom.

Could you give us a hint to perhaps where they may be. Does it rhyme with edit?

I saw this on Facebook and it made me smile.

Wow! Fascinating technique for making the arched columns of Imperial architecture. If its alright may I possibly borrow that for an ISD build at some point?

Perhaps unnecessary but it might be helpful. Before posting know your thread and do your duty for board and forum! This is the thread for speculating future sets: Link This is the thread for asking general questions: Link This is the thread for discussing prices: Link

In regards to 2017 distribution, did everything get released for the late winter wave simultaneously or did only the Rogue One sets? For instance are the Skiff and A-Wings sets out in most countries? I am asking of course for outside the US, I believe we dont get the sets until May. If wrong please correct me.

No more A-Wings We may get a variant of one in Episode 8, if they continue updating ships as they did the X-Wing and B-Wing in the Force Awakens.

The AT-ST is an incredible base of parts and shape if you are willing to modify it. Only with modifications though does it become a truly great vehicle. For me I basically kept the core part of the head and built the rest myself which was really fun so because of the experience it gave me I have to say it is my favorite. Both the Y-Wing and Krennic's shuttle have amazing figure line ups, especially the unique figures. However the Y-Wing has a generic stormtrooper and a repeat pilot so I have to give it to Krennic's Shuttle. The Tank, U-Wing, and Krennic's Shuttle would probably be the best value where I live. From price to parts to pieces. To me the Battle on Scarif and Tie Striker have got to be the worst value. The Tie Striker should have come with an additional shore trooper at that price. The set is great just for me not worth it.
