  1. Same here I would never buy the death star for that much but I would pay good money for a mini figure scale AT-AT. I have a few friends that would too. The fact they haven't bothers me greatly. The AT-AT is arguably one of the most iconic vehicles in SW as well as the Battle of the Hoth so why haven't they?
  2. Hahaha I do Hey this looks like that justin bieber hair piece TLG was so fond for a while
  3. I can't speak for the AT-DP, I don't own it, but I struggled with whether I was going to buy the AT-ST or not simply because of the box pictures. So I bought the U-Wing first instead then relented and bought the AT-ST. I'm glad I did. The model is fantastic, the best version of the vehicle TLG has done by far and maybe the best we will ever get from them. It's my desk in my bedroom and I went to bed the set actually looked like a proper model in the dark. There is certainly room for modifications if you're into that sort've thing, such as replacing dark blue grey panels/pieces with light blue grey, removing the spring fire missiles next to the chin gun because they look awful from the side. I would say build it %100 but it's your $40 so spend it as you see fit. Speaking of which are there any pictures out there of this new AT-ST next to the AT-DP?
  4. That's really adorable and well made!
  5. Noroi: The Curse I love scary stories from Japan so this was interesting. I don't know whether I liked it or not but I don't regret watching it. Another found footage film. I don't hate the Ewoks as a species or even a concept but I despise the way they were handled and shown and therefore dislike them immensely. If we actually saw them as ferocious creatures that would be cool sort've like mini wampas. Really what the Battle of Endor should've been is the scene from the Mummy 2 where they're in the jungle and the pygmy mummies annihilate the army. That's not what we got though. What we got were stormtroopers stumbling down and getting thwomped by stone hammers that I feel most people could withstand without any armor on. How do arrows penetrate armor? How on earth did they know where the AT-STs were going to walk so they could crush them with swinging logs? Even as a kid that battle frustrated me, but that maybe because at the same time I was also allowed to watch serious war movies like Apocalypse Now amongst others. I agree though, for the most part what we do grow up with is what we will find more acceptable.
  6. Right? The joke that stormtroopers can't hit anything is funny but I think true only to the point that they can't hit the main characters and that's just a plot device. Anyone else and they tear things up especially rebel soldiers. As for the Thing it's probably not that big of a revelation (I also may have read it somewhere years ago) but it has to do with the final scene. I don't remember the characters names so for clarity i'll use the actors names.
  7. The Conjuring 2 again. I really like that movie. While not a movie I watched a miniseries, Over the Garden Wall, due to the arrival of fall. A perfect series from beginning to end and when watched all at once is basically a movie split into several chapters since its only about 2 and half hours in total. The Thing. My favorite horror movie of all time and it still holds up. I always get the creeps mostly because those situations where anyone including the protagonist could be the invader are fairly tense and intriguing. This time around my mind was blown when I realized something about the ending. I won't spoil it but if you haven't, go watch the Thing. Oh no agreed there are many super cool aspects, some of my favorite SW characters and moments are in Return of the Jedi but that's why I may be harshest on it. It could have and had all the workings to be the greatest SW movie. However there are so many things dragging it down. First of all while the Jabba's Palace stuff is really great, after all my two favorite SW creatures the Rancor an Sarlacc make their debut here, it feels really disjointed with the rest of the film. The ground stuff on Endor is infuriating, the ewoks are the epitome of what I dislike about the franchise, and the battle is ruined by teddy bears not only defeating elite soldiers, but defeating them so easily and with few casualties. The space battle is epic but why on earth could a single fighter be capable of bringing down the badass Executor? Then when you add all of the changes Lucas made, there are a dozen more things such as the celebration scenes and force ghost Hayden Christensen that are irksome. Sorry for the paragraph by the way Once I start writing about that movie I find it hard to stop. There is a lot to love about that movie but also a similar amount to be frustrated by.
  8. Just bought the AT-ST, which is incredible, but in regards to 2016 TLG did an awful job on the box art. The photo angle they picked is so unflattering.
  9. Hey Anothergol i'm curious if you bought the new Rogue One AT-ST? I wanted to know your opinion on it? If at all possible it would be pretty cool to see a comparison shot between yours and TLG's.
  10. The AT-ST, which is a MUST buy for any self respecting OT collector, and the U-Wing that is also an incredible set. Out of curiosity why didnt you just wait until the BP comes out? Surely that will drive the price of stormtroopers down?
  11. It appears that the center is a specialist variant and the ones on the left and right are standard shore troopers. It's just interesting if that's true that we're seeing them after the specialist. So now if i'm not mistaken there are currently three variants of shore troopers. We have these mostly tan ones that are probably standard troopers, these blue chested specialists, and the officers which have the kama skirts. Oddly enough with three variants we could get an entire battle pack of them which I hope we do get. Stormies and Death Troopers are nice but i'm starting to dig the look of these guys. Only wish we would get dual molded legs or that the print continued to the side.
  12. Amazing mod I just bought an AT ST and I plan on making these changes. Am I the only one wjo thinks its slightly too tall? I also plan on removing the flick fire missiles next to the main guns. They don't look that bad from the front but theybdo from the side.
  13. Its an interesting notion to encourage kids to wear helmets but would such a thing be practical? Would designing helmets that look like lego hair molds work in charming keds tk wear a helmet while biking? (Sorry for the messy URL On the internet I try letting people see what theyre clicking on for full transparency) http://mentalfloss.com/article/87004/lego-hair-bike-helmet-might-prevent-brain-trauma
  14. Could very well be General Dodonna, he hss grey hair at that time, and for all we know the set is based on Yavin in the hanger.
  15. The U Wing is fantastic. The troop bay is a little small, like really small but thats the only negative I can think of. The coolest feature is that the window on the underbelly allows for a view from the cockpit of the ground below and vice versa in a way that makes complete sense for a dropship. The U Wing also has the best use of those usually annoying missiles in a set. They integrate seamlessly and the buttons to fire them are cleverly included. All in all avery swooshable ship with great minifigures.
  16. Quiz Show. Fantastic movie, crazy to think that the events in it really happened although not to surprising. Companies get greedy and TV ratings mean everything. Still better then Return of the Jedi though. I just wished someone else would have played Anakain. Someone of Adam Driver's caliber.
  17. This was a pretty great episode. Seeing Maul again on Rebels is surprisingly satisfying. Of course we all must know what his character arc is now. Its going to happen, that ending all but confirmed it. Very exciting!
  18. Okay guys is the U Wing worth it? Im on the fence. Should I just get the ATST and think about the U Wing for later? The minifigures for Krennic's Shuttle are brilliant but im not sold on the design. Is it really that good? My only gripe is the black.
  19. So of the two cheap sets which would people reccomend, the AT ST or the Imperial Tank? Im on thw edge about the AT-ST, does it look better in person? Or wait and get a U-Wing?
  20. I personally think there needs to be a better balance between prints and stickers but I guess they figure the backpack isnt a vital part of the character or at least the printing there isnt.
  21. That is an imposing tank to be sure, I would not want to be on a battlefield with that coming my way.
  22. That would be incredible! It would have to be a Lego Brick though, since well...a costume of an actual brick would be rather boring
  23. Interesting point brought up in the SW Armada forums that while I don't necessarily agree with is still a possibility. Someone brought up that the Y-Wings stolen are the same ones that eventually fight in the Battle of Yavin. Their point is that while we only see four land in the carrier they originally left the planet with eight in total, around the size of a squadron. Then the Y-Wings are give to General Dodonna's rebel cell and he was the one seemingly in charge during A New Hope. Is it possible? Certainly and in a way it would be cool if they are indeed the ones we see in the first film. The reason I don't completely buy it is we are still two years before ANH and realistically it doesn't make a ton of sense that all eight Y-Wings would survive that long unless they werent used. However in a situation where every day is do or die I also doubt a rebel cell would sit on an entire squadron of capable bombers for an two entire years. Also rebel pilots don't seem to have longevity, especially in A-Wings. However maybe a few do survive and are apart of the battle in ANH. I saw it just as the introduction of ship type to the rebellion and that from now on rebel cells might try to reclaim more Y-Wings. Either way I think it was a cool concept that may very well be true regardless.
  24. Ouija: Origin of Evil...nope! Don't do it to yourself. Not worth the time.
