[MT] Renault FT-17 Tank
Milan replied to Tommy Styrvoky's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
In this moc, it is not very important that tracks work perfect. Since this moc will not be motorized, and pushing the vehicle wont easily turn the tracks...- 93 replies

Creator of this batpod likes his hamsters, and sometimes he or his followers discuss these type of scenarios. -
[MT] Ford Rat Rod
Milan replied to rhplus's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great steering Rat rods do have same tires front and rear mostly, but maybe this would look even better if you could make rear tires more fat. Great details, too.- 16 replies

BMW E30 Build Thread
Milan replied to nicjasno's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It is stronger with studded parts. -
I am afraid that this would just open more space for the people to use various parts of the model to be larger than the rules state, just like with that airplane. If it would be my call, I would allow this,

[MT] Renault 17
Milan replied to antp's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This contest is like a dream come true. Lots of regular bricks in use, almost no holes at all. And the theme is vehicles! This entry is great so far, it is hard to build with details in 16 studs wide, but thats where lego is perfect...you can redesign it and make it better. Keep up! -

[MT] Three-axle compact crane
Milan replied to Erik Leppen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Erik is one of the best crane builders! Check his BS gallery, he knows what he is doing. There are few few city cranes that has two seats in the cab, Demag for example. Reason for the second seat is simple...the crane can carry one more worker. About that inclined section, it can be assembly-jib or fly-jib, and it can be set to 0, 15, 30, 45 or 60 degrees, depending on the need and the type of jib, of course. Erik wrote that his model is not moddeled after any real crane, so the wheels can be this small, and the shape of the crane can be made after his desire. To me, it looks like a Terex-Demag, just what Erik is specialized. Dont forget, this is a city crane, it does not need bigger wheels. AT Cranes do need big wheels, as they are sometimes of the road. Overall, great entry. -
I would say yes. If turntables and wheels/tires can be dismembered, shock absorbers should be allowed, too.

Awesome! Overall very fine moc. Love the hood section. Lot of work went into the front mudguards, I know how tricky they could be to make them round. Those technic bricks 1x6 with holes at the bottom of the hood section...are they attachment points for the hood's panels? I dont like those holes to be so visible.

You should focus more on the look of the model. That is what model team is about. Realistic overall look, proportions, and details. There should be functions, but minimal. Suspension is ok, but no needed.
