Hi Benjamin! Welcome! Maybe you could try Bricklink. You could find great deals there. I know how you feel. In my country, LEGO is also extremely expensive, I use bricklink exclusively.

[MOC] Lego Technic Hovercraft
Milan replied to Legofan225's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The best way to get more attention is to post your moc to different LEGO unofficial sites and forums where you are member (or make accounts there) Also, if something you made is really good, you might get blogged somewhere on popular LEGO blogs and that will boost your name and creation big time. Presentation is also your top priority. Make clear photos, remove the background in some graphic program, set sharpness, colors etc...No blog will present your moc, no matter how good is, if photos are lousy. Make a video of it and post inks on your final presentation topic, together with great photos. Eurobricks is probably the largest LEGO unofficial site, so make sure to post here your presentation topic, as well as on another forums, sites, facebook pages... -
[WIP] C4 Corvette

Chassis is probably the section with most changes, during building process. Keep up! -
If new moc needs new parts, and if I have money for that, I will buy it via BL. Parts are generally cheaper than whole sets. That is the only control I have. But since I don't have kids yet, or wife yet, I can afford it for a year or two. Later, they will be priority.

Every time I make an BL order, and few days later, when order is shipped to me, I wind out that store have very rare part(s) at great price I need for current moc. Double check!

Its very much like the house I pass by every time I go to my weekend cottage. I love that building style, and you make it awesome! Hope you will get it done in real bricks!

Once you start building do you find it hard to stop?

I miss my training, or lunch sometimes, but never something so important like you (OP) stated. -
It is difficult to perceive the size of it at the first look. But all those angles are just awesome. Everything is awesome! :)

Massive quads on the first one :)

Nice photography! And great scene!
-
Maybe you could use Technic 1x2 liftarm thin, to connect two rigid hoses together. Other than than, great use of parts!
