    Brilliant review, a great read! Although I do doubt I won't own this set due to its price tag and Star Wars 2015, it does look really good, and makes me want to start collecting the modulars!

    I have plenty of those, although it is unknown if that was a misprint, or a little 'easter egg' on LEGO's behalf... Either way I'd like to think it was the designers having a bit of fun. Anyway, onto the actual post, I haven't noticed any difference between my two (I know, only 2 of the original R2D2s is disgraceful...), in the past, but I will have a closer look... Could you post pictures?

    I'm not an expert on this sort of thing, but I can see a few factors that would determine the cheapness you would be able to do this for: 1: The amount of pieces, as others have said, but also 2: The type of pieces, ie. the SSD has plenty of basic, grey plates, which are generally cheaper than the wide variety in the MF. Also, as you have said, the MF's pieces are old, so becoming rarer which means you'd pay more. I wish you luck in this gargantuan mission, you're gonna need it!
