  1. Wow, nice alternate indeed! I just wonder if it is made of 42000 parts only.
  2. Hmm, if it is just a hole then I don't see a point shortening contact surface for axle connection. Since you have a set you probably could check the properties of that hole?
  3. Yeah, I've noticed the reinforcements and glossy finish, but what about its center fitting? Is it just a hole or you can fit new rim on pin too?
  4. Not sure if this was asked before, but I have found that new rims have intesting center on them: As you see, new rim's center + starts on the outer side of the rim only (isn't completely cross as for current rim) and I presume you can fit new rim on an a pin too? This makes this peace a completely universal rim, such you can get it connected with axle, pin and Steering Portal Axle Hub.
  5. Bought too much sets this year without any occasion, which isn't good for my wallet. I have 42000 still MISB, was nice discount in local store, waiting for a proper occasion.
  6. Tire changes its position to surface depending on load on a truck. It gets perpendicular to surface when truck is fully loaded (when the major wear appears), so it gets even wear.
  7. Thx guys for your thoughts, I might consider drive shafts after all. However I think I might need to test chain too, or it might come handy in the future. So can anyone please comment on below, just to know approximately how many chain links needed for such thing.
  8. I'm moding one of bigger official sets - making a AWD SUV. I have come into an issue with front wheel connection to AWD system. Technic chain (Bricklink part 3711) could be a possible way to solve my issue, due to freedom of gear location. But I don't know how good this part handles torque? Is it enough to have one chain, or should I get 2 in parallel to be sure it won't break or gets damaged? How many parts do I need to have 2*16gears connected on a distance of 5 studs/holes between their centers? Correct me if I'm wrong, chain works with 8, 16 and 24 teeth gears only?
  9. I like how tight mechanics in the car are, two axles almost intersect in the middle of the car!
  10. Same here. There is something that attacts me in this medium-sized set.
  11. So much details. What kind of rubber part/parts did you use on the top of front board, with something yellow inside?
  12. Rm8, thanks for interesting review! I was wondering if you have full size photos, wish to see few more details.
  13. Wow, that is really awesome drifting/ghymkhana. I didn't imagine it will be this fun.
  14. I like the engineering, the front suspension is very cool! Waiting to see how it goes drifting. The overal design isn't bad - you can say this is a car for sure , but the stickers made this one very cool. You can definatelly say its Ken Block's no matter what model it is.
  15. there are two outputs, but each of them has its own characteristics due to different gear ratios used inside.
  16. I like the box they made for this set, and a set itself, and a box and a set, oh I can't wait till I can grab one!
  17. I came with same results after I've investigated local R/C supply web site for available parts. Found funny (or not) thing - description for any "LiPo fireproof storage" items have a link to local forum discussing the reason why these are needed and accident photos. Decission I made is that you can go for custom LiPo if you really-really-really need and just cannot live without them in your MOC. You must be cautious while operating/storing/charfing and alsways keep an eye on the battery. Well I think I'll stick with LEGO batteries, just don't want to have all that headache.
  18. I clearly understand that LEGO is made for kids. And as we can see power sources isn't a primary item/feature for TLC. I don't know if in R/C battery world battery connectors are standardized, but I belive it would be nice to have TLC made us some "PF>3rd party battery" adapters.
  19. Norther Ireland, not the other part. :/Arghh, I just hate to see the prices you get for sales in the rest of the Europe comparying to ours.
  20. Cool model! Looking at your video I just can't wait until I get my 8475 set with 2 of those RC motors to build one quick running stuff.
  21. I'm not very impressed by small or medium Technic sets, but if the price for 42005 will be reasonable - I will have one. It is a nice set with number of usefull parts.
  22. I have read about this airplane sometime ago and I'm still impressed how this type of machinery with such amazing technical stats was created in that early years. And now here it is, re-created as very good LEGO copy!
  23. Hey there, Bricklink isn't that straightforward to understand website. If you use some search magic, you may find list of L motors for sale. Just use Catalog > Parts > Electric, Motor for other types of electric motors.
