  1. Rebrickable is quite odd in making up its own names. I prefer using good old Bricklink, which list this item as connector.
  2. You could fit differential in your rear suspension. Front end may need to be a bit longer, so it wouldn't be so steep.
  3. Yeah, there is now way that engine will fit in front of 15-stud wide body with steering and suspension Front and rear axles are ready now.
  4. I've initially considered this piece, however it proved to be too long (wouldn't fit between bars) and out of scale.
  5. By the time train was made I've completed some cars to look like the proper train, however never had time to actually picture them as they are a bit of a pain to picture due to dark colors. Managed to get some decent pictures today. Oil Tank car. It is based on real-life model (including the color) and is scaled to 8 studs. Open-top hopper. This one is build with pretty much the same approach as one above - based on real-life example with correct color and scaled to 8 studs. Lumber car. Built to have proportions of a real-life car, but isn't based on any particular type. 8-studs wide. Flat car. Since I build with Technic as well I wanted to build one car from Technic parts. Bent liftarm came to the rescue! Not based on any model and is 7-studs wide.
  6. To show off engine I've built for TC18 entry constructed this mini-MOC - an engine trolley. Moves like a real one where paired wheels have 360 degree rotation, so it is easy to steer and place an assembly.
  7. Haven't built anything from Technic for more than a year now, so I thought to give it a go in times we live now. Not going to reveal much plans upfront, prefer keeping it in secrecy. However from name (not final though, but may hint a little) you may figure out my model is planned to be built in a shape of pickup. To start with MOC I've built V8 with working pistons. It will be driven by some gears and face flywheel on the other side. Colors aren't final as it is still a WIP and I'm missing some parts. Anyone could suggest LEGO compatible 3rd party silicone rubber bands? 4 x 4 works (I got single one), but puts a little too much friction than I would have preferred. I've also made an engine trolley to show off the engine, this little MOC is presented here.
  8. A while ago I found a great technique for door handles from @Duq (initially discovered here on EB, but could only find picture on Flickr now). This seem to be a great idea as it should have fit nicely into my train. In the end Erling bricks didn't work for me since I couldn't get bucket handle inside and there wasn't space below the brick. However Technic bricks was just a perfect fit. Before - after:
  9. Same thoughts. @Zerobricks Your model seem to look like a 4-door saloon car. Have you considered changing body from 2-door to a 4-door vehicle? It may not have the interior for back seats, but could look a little more proportional.
  10. There is already a strong feel of 8880. Good luck with the rest!
  11. What really bothers me is the 1 unit (1/5 stud) gap between plate+tile and a bracket in the front . The bottom side of this grille, specifically.
  12. Downloading building instructions from LEGO Service web page will, most likely, include the mentioned fix. You could download a copy and check against your instructions to find if there is a difference.
  13. Two probably, one 6 stud wide for the white/black rubber side and like 3-4 stud wide for hub cap.
  14. This translates to 52 x 12 mm wheels. While not a balloon looking wheel, there's this (56 x 14 mm in size):
  15. I'm on the same boat with you. It is good to build some sets to get your part knowledge up to a certain level. Then I find it better to work on your own models to progress further.
  16. Suspension setup used in the rear will, probably, be used on many entries in this competition.
  17. One of the ways building a realistic looking building is to find one build in real and then just adapt it with your vision of Police Station. Here are some examples I found on Flickr: Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4 Example 5 Example 6 (Hospital in this case) French Police Station you've mentioned is probably this.
  18. Having WIP pictures posted over internet before the contest but never having model completed still count as new?
  19. Not owning 30699 tires is not a showstopper. For those who don't have them yet (like myself): For WIP you can use 56898 tire, which is the same same size as 30699 and both use same rim; You have more than 6 weeks to acquire 4 pcs. of these tires from Bricklink.

    Lego stores

LEGO Store in Berlin is also facing a street. And it is over 2 floors.
  21. Bricklink has a dedicated category which can be used to identify what is considered a "panel". Fenders are on the list.
  22. I find hard reading that graph - there are multiples of same color for past 17 years, like Black, LBG and DBG. Why some years have negative valued colors? As a System builder I'd like to have Sand Red and Dark Gray back. As a Technic builder I'd like TLG to get rid of recent odd colors - Olive, various shades light Blue.
  23. While remodeling, perhaps you could you use less of hard to get (expensive) parts too? I'd like to build it one day, however 3.1% of parts I'm missing cost an arm and leg.
  24. Well, Ford RS200 has plastic-fiberglass composite body, so in reality it cannot rust.
  25. Having built and having fun with V1 before I consider building the V2 too. I wonder if there is a way of using LEGO BB's instead of BuWizz?
