It is not really possible to host pictures here on EB, so you have to upload them on some external website/service first. As an example, you could setup Flickr account and use following guide to post your pics.

General Part Discussion
zux replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
And as far as I know they require different mold for different colors of the same part. Not sure if each color requires separate mold, could be that some group of colors may have similar specs and could use same mold. This is due to various color additives used and properties of final colored plastic. So, I wanted to say, that with stated above TLG might need to investigate and test certain part/mold/color combinaton first, for color consistency, strength, dimensions, some other tests, which costs time and money. Just imagine overhead required just for "your specific color order".- 5,509 replies

Yeah, I made a post about it, there's even a short video. I experimented with longer wheel base, but finished using standard base/chassis. Btw. I'd love to see 8466 on 8369 chassis!

I was really happy to know that 8369 and 8675 sets are somewhat compatible with Technic. A lot of time passed since I acquired a copy while thinking what can I build around it. Yes, build and test it! Youtube videos show these models are very powerful and probably are the fastest LEGO ever. So there was LitLUG & LatLUG meeting where you normally need to bring something with yourself to show off . So there was a deadline and all of a sudden interesting idea came to my mind. Also there was a quite big area, just about right for the model to run - no way I would miss such opportunity! There's just no place at home for such beast. I used default 8369 as a base to build my MOC, there is a standard front suspension with adjustable shock absorber, but the back has no suspension. Since I wanted to build a drifting car and there was a very smooth floor - basically there was no need for rear suspension at all. Model is quite heavy (2Kg) - it is all because of the base as the outer shell doesn't add much, but weight is not an issue. Car is drive-able on the lowest gear only, when using other two it still can go straight, but just drifts when trying to make a turn while still on a smooth surface. The power. I had two batteries, and made sure they both are charged - just to have a lot of fun during the event! However it turned out I had just 5 minutes with each battery, that's 10 minutes. Not much to have fun , looks like batteries are quite old and lost their capacity. Sorry for the lack of photos (I rarely have access to proper camera). Below you can see the only picture taken while on event (he-he, you won't find me on this photo): 13_12_2014_RJTC-71 by latlug_lv As you may notice RDR01 has proper test racing driver - The Stig You can check how models drift on this very short video, while batteries were still alive. I hope to share more photos soon, including a swap with black tires. I wonder how RDR01 would look with red tires as well...

I'm completely aware of compatibility with Technic - already made body over standard 8369 chassis, just not shared here on EB. So I still wonder how did you made wheel base longer. Is your solution rigid enough? On my initial try chassis was somewhat too much flexible.
-
Yeah, those sets you used for a base are beasts! Drive and drift like a crazy. It looks like you have extended the wheel base. Now I wonder did you manage to find out a solution to make this rigid? And how longer the wheel base is now?

Lego Racers 8682 - my review
zux replied to Richard Dower's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is a nice set with good looks and proportions. The front is especially good, as guy from our LUG said - this is because it is build of "System" rather than Technic Stickers on the other side are horrible. I bought a used set, so stickers were cracked and peeling. Trouble is everything was easy to remove except the white parts. I don't know what kind of paint or other chemical substance was user for white color - it was very hard to remove the white parts and glue left. And it is a great parts pack. -

Well I cannot test it here now, but I see no reasons why it shouldn't work. From our LUG meetings I found that the last command sent from either controller will be prioritized. I just wonder what would be the result in case your moc is, let's say, crawling, then you push on another controller to go full speed and then release the control. Would it return to crawling speed or stop? Lights are definitely PF. According this page sensors and hub do not have PF in their naming,

Wow, F40! I'd love it to be a Technic model, but considering the numbering set uses it looks like it will be Creator-like. Let's hope it'll be even larger. -

We should nominate Blackbird for huge Technic model and MOC collection. -
Argh, so it is a truck again, not 6x6 G-class Looking at the size of MB truck, I doubt it will have unimog tires - looks more like it would be in scale of 42009, with same tires.

TheNextLegoDesinger, don't underestimate those green tires, they have more grip and softness than any other tire LEGO has ever produced. Oh, and they look really cool on a Fox.

I knew there was something wrong. Good to know about MFi - that's a cool feature for Apple product owners Thanks for explanation, this is exactly the answer I was looking for. Looking forward future app upgrades to include "gamepad controller" feature.- 780 replies

SBrick General Discussion

Sorry, still not sure about your reply.MiFi is a wireless router that acts as mobile Wi-Fi hotspot (according Wikipedia), which normally uses WiFi to communicate with other devices (send/receive data) rather than BT. Cannot figure out how this would work. I'll simplify my question - is it possible to control Sbrick directly with hardware like game pad and not phone/tablet/pc?- 780 replies
