3 large pieces, actually. Otherwise, yeah, the model is quite big.

Thank you. :) The gold chrome is not a very common color indeed. We don't see it often, especially with such quantity. But as it is a "custom" color (it does exist in TLG, but people can reproduce the process), it will never be discontinued. It is even possible to have every part you want in gold chrome. So technically speaking, gold chrome is one of the colors with the widest range of bricks available. Paradoxical, isn't it ?

Who said I was trying to reproduce a 70 year old droid ? Moreover, keep in mind that C-3PO has never been as rusty as when he was 1 year old. haha.

Captain Braunsfeld, you should try to put bigger pictures in your signature. With more text, and more lines. It is really too discrete at the moment. So please, make it bigger.

This is no leaks. This is official pictures of official products which are going to be sold in only 2 (two !) weeks...
-
And now you know why the model was sold with a support... Seriously, what did you expect ? -_-'

The design style of the Commande Shuttle 75104 reminds me the Twilight 7680. The dark age of Lego Star Wars...

Indeed. I could write a full diatribe about those sets, but it would be a waste of time. The Falcon looks awesome. Rey's Speeder is quite good too. Other sets are nightmarish... I still can't believe it.

It is articulated everywhere, except the knees (to keep the model stable). See video above.

Thanks. :) No. I prefer the Episode III version. It looks more consistent on a Lego model.

Hello, I updated my C-3PO. So I've updated the pictures, video, etc. Here is the final model : The new video : - galerie FlickR : https://www.flickr.c...157657124074835 - galerie Brickshelf : http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=553927 The instruction will be updated within the next months. The things I have updated : - the biggest update is on the arms. There are now more realistic, and totally articulated - the printed mouth. And for that I would like to thank my friend Efjie. If you need to print some custom parts, you may be in touch with him at the following email address : ==> efjie-brick[at]outlook[dot]com - the overall position is different, especially on the legs. It enables me to make better hips and a more stable model - some minor (well, not so minor :o ) updates here and there (head, shoulders, groin). Hope you like it more. I do. :D Anio

Indeed. It is less than I expected. I asked someone who reproduced it recently, and he told me that the cost was about 250-300£.

I know ! Just kidding. Well, I did not copied it from any Legoland park, so it is not surprising you didn't see it there. :) I do not remember exactly what width it is. It is just like the construction "wanted" it to be. Maybe it's 8L. I just did that model quickly for fun, so I didn't take any technical aspect such as the width into account. Width is what it is... For the LDD file, see first post. PS : it is pretty amazing that it is the first time I browse this thread for 3 years to show it to a relative, and it got bumped only 3 days ago ! What a coincidence !

About 500€/$, I would say...

I am pretty sure that you can sell most of your collection here on EB. Many AFOLs will be interested in it. I sell Lego stuff from time to time, and I didn't not resort to ebay for quite some time now. TechLUG is enough, altough it is way smaller than EB. So I am confident that you can sell it on EB easily and quickly.

42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245
Anio replied to AndroTech's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
To be more specific, the "error" is on page 24, where you probably used 2 connectors instead of 1. -

Easy. The part is not missing. You made a mistake in the previous pages. You put this connector on the left side and the right side, whereas the instruction says to put it only on one side (don't remember right or left). If you take that part back, you will have what you need to complete the model correctly. ;) -
When instructions are released, I will post a message in this thread. :) Same for the UCS Sith Infiltrator and its thread.
-
No. You can find it in the set Mercedes Speed Champion for example.

Thank you for your review. :) I am glad you like the final model. The begining, when you are talking, was funny. It sounds like "OMG, I will build the UCS Venator. O. M. G." It is cool you noticed how stable the model is. A LOT of effort went into this during the design process. Regarding the instruction, Mathieu will be delighted you appreciate his work. Small numbers are indeed not included on long liftarms, but counting is part of the fun. :p And I am pretty sure many builders do not need to count anymore. Often, just a quick look, and I know if it is 16 or 14. It is also nice to hear your praise regarding the details all over the ships. You forgot to mention the main hangar below the ship though. Regarding the mini model, there is not much that can be done here. RBR works good with ISD as it is still a capital ship (150 meters long). But there is not much to do with the Venator. A Republic Attack Gunship would be very very small (3 studs long, at best), and would had no value to the model. It would be barely recognizable. May I ask to add this link in your video description ? => http://www.eurobrick...50#entry1597460 Thank you again for your review. It is greatly appreciated. Anio
