Hi everybody ! The MOC is nearly finished. I still have to do add some parts (trans-clear support brick round 1x1 for example). With a friend, we also will do a sticker for the UCS to be very accurate, just like my TIE UCS. The ATTE also have an interior, with 10 seats. Here is a photo that show the whole left side of the MOC. I hope I will be able to show you the MOC complete soon.

Very nice review ! I agree with everything you write. Actually, this model is priced like a collector model, but it don't have anything collector. :/ Nevertheless, it is a beautiful model. It were much more impressive if it were UCS.

Hi ! Some parts do not have the right color. But I will change them soon. I also have to make the inside (below the cannon). Besides, I think that I won't remove the black bricks. They really support the MOC. With them, the MOC is much stronger ! :) I will try to make them with trans-clear bricks, or something like that. :) I hope you like. :)

You are right. If I build the model like Reto Geiger's one, the legs cannot support the weight. But Bossk's AT-TE stand on its legs. So, I also may be able to do it. Look at this photo : All the weight seems to be supported by the middle legs. I have to strengthen the middle of my MOC.

Ha ha. Try to build one if you think it is so easy to get a perfect MOC. And there is a lot of difference between my MOC and the building instruction, even if you don't see them.

Yes ! That is what I want ! I really spend a lot of time to find the best way to built. And I search if the parts have already been produced in the color I need. For example, I DO NOT want any old gray and dark old gray parts. But for the cannon, I think that I will be compelled to resort such colors, since the parts I need have never been produced in light bluish and dark bluish gray. Otherwise, the model is currently too heavy to stand on his 6 feet. As I wrote above, I have to strengthen the midlle fixation. If I don't succeed, I put some trans-cleat brick below. But that's definitely ugly. :/

Thanks for your kind words ! Yes, Bossk and I exchange some ideas on my (French) Lego forum. It is useful to improve our MOC. Edit : Yes, the legs are already built. Here is a photo :

EDIT : Professional building instruction available here : You can email me at setechnic@gmail.com /EDIT Hi ! Here is my second MOC : a UCS AT-TE. First, I must say that it is inspired from Reto Geiger's one, especially for the chassis. Nevertheless, there are a lot of modifications, to make the model as accurate as possible. UCS AT-TE by Anio, sur Flickr UCS AT-TE by Anio, sur Flickr UCS AT-TE by Anio, sur Flickr The model is very big : 69cm long and about 3600 parts. The roof of the cockpit and the body can be opened to see the interior. ???? It is more than 1 meter long (and so longger than a 10030) ! It is not enough for a UCS ?
-
You are right. But I couldn't use Technic pin, like on the 10175. This kind of connection was too big. But with the brackets, it is quite strong (more than I tought). :) You are right too. I buy the parts I used for my TIE. Then, I will rebuild the 10175. The 2 big parts of the cockpit were very expensive...

Thanks a lot for your kind words.

@Warmaster : I will ask you the same question that I wrote on FBTB : Who do you think you are to put MY building instruction in YOUR folder ? (moreover without credit) :skull:

An email from TLC, read on FBTB :
-
Lego designed the 10195 like a UCS. -_-' The section where the model is sold doesn't mean anything. Otherwise, 10144 is also UCS. -_-' So, 10195 is not UCS. Actually, the section on S@h regroups the Collector models. There is a difference between a Ultimate Collector model (13 models), and a Collector model (10188, 10144, 10195, 10186, 10178 and many others), even if they are sold in the same section on the website. ;)
-
10195, even if it is a big set (1700 parts), it is definitely not a UCS. There is not enough details. Actually, it looks like #7676 and #7675.
-
To my mind, TLC will not produce new UCS anymore. :/
-
I agree with you : a UCS mustn't be a CW model. CW models are so boring. -_- With the 10178, it seems to be impossible that TLC release a new AT-AT. Edit : the 10026 is AWESOME !!!! :D
-
I read many discussions about the number of UCS. In my point of view, there are 13 UCS : 7181, 7191, 7194, 10018, 10019, 10026, 10129, 10030, 10134, 10143, 10174, 10175 and 10179. Sets like 10144, 10188, 10178 or 10186 (and may be some other sets) are juste Collector models. TLC also confirmed this list. I read it some days ago on FBTB.

Thanks ! The model is 1:28 scale. So the wing have the good size. For example, the true model is 6,3 meters long. My MOC is 28 studs long. And 28*0,8*28=6,27 meters. Actually, the cockpit is too high. But I can't build in an other way with the parts I use (especially the 2 big parts).

EDIT : Professional building instruction available here : You can email me at setechnic@gmail.com /EDIT Hi ! I would like to present you my first MOC. It is a TIE Fighter UCS. :) UCS TIE Fighter by Anio, sur Flickr UCS TIE Fighter by Anio, sur Flickr UCS TIE Fighter by Anio, sur Flickr Interior : UCS TIE Fighter by Anio, sur Flickr The model is not that complex from a building techniques perspective. A short video : I hope you like. :) Stay tuned for my next UCS model ! :-)

One of my friends contacted you some weeks ago for you to add some photos of your MOC on BS. So, he can reproduce it. I follow his MOC... One day, I will reproduce it too. Sure. It so beautiful !
