    Elysée Palace

Hi, I can not say that I am much into politics, etc, but here is another building I did : the Elysée Palace (Palais de l'Elysée in French). This is where the President of France lives. It is a 20,500 element building. You can even see François Hollande on the red carpet. :D (well, I am still unsure if it is him as the tie of the minifigure is straight and centered haha haha haha) Elysée Palace by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Elysée Palace by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Elysée Palace by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Elysée Palace by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Elysée Palace by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Hope you like it. :) Régis
  4. Hi fellow, For several years, I do a lot of SW stuff. Many UCS models... But since last year, I am much more into City/Architecture stuff. For the exhibition "Histoire en Briques" ("History in Bricks" in English), I designed some of the buildings of Saint Quentin, a city in the North of the France. Note that you can visit that event till June 19th. The Town Hall, 11,000 parts. https://www.flickr.c...157663792237704 Town hall of Saint Quentin by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Town hall of Saint Quentin by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Town hall of Saint Quentin by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Town hall of Saint Quentin by Régis Gamba, sur Flickr Can you see where I used Star Wars battle droid bodies ? :D The Theater, 12,500 parts. Napoleon crossing the Alps. 97,000 elements, almost 3 meters tall. 5. Hi there ! The instruction for the UCS BB-8 is now available. Frousmoul did it. It shows the modular design, the sticker, the part list, etc. Everything is in HD. The instruction is sold 10€. You can however give more if you want to support or encourage our work. To buy the instruction, you can PM me on Eurobricks, FlickR, or Youtube. Still, the most convenient way to reach me is to send me an email at setechnic@gmail.com I usually answers pretty quickly to emails. I hope that people will appreciate having the UCS BB-8 next to their UCS R2-D2. :) Anio edit : video :
  6. As far as I know, the slug (and the MF btw) is much smaller. But the asteroid is a bit bigger. It is a more or less 150-170 part set.
  7. Most of the people always want Lego stuff for free, especially instructions. Paying 10/20/50€ for an instructions, is basically nothing. Especially if the model to reproduce requires a 1000 or 2000€ budget. But well... explaining this is a waste of time. Those who pay a good/fair price for instructions do not need explanations. As for those who want instructions for free, they will never understand such an explanation. They just want the instruction for as little money as possible. Next.
  8. Try a bit harder please : setechnic@gmail.com
  9. See page 7 and email me. Régis
  10. Everything is available. No painted parts. The model costs a bit more than 300€. I will announce the release of the instruction soon. Still some work to do. Thank you. :) Régis
  11. I am still not convinced. And I fail to understand how you tackle your project. I googled C1-10P for pics. I got this : http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/e/e5/Chopper2-Fathead.png/revision/latest?cb=20150310040946 With that single pic, I got a few informations : - the body is a cylinder, so the head is round. Why the base of your head is a square with round corners ? Oo - you probably should have made the head a bit smaller, and the eyes much smaller. - except the colors, the legs have a similar look to R2-D2's legs. If you had designed the model in the same size as 10225, you could have use 10225 design on your model.
  12. That is quite a MOC. Oo Very accurate.
  13. I buy many used parts on my MOCs. It is all ok for most of my orders. Still, if some parts are not ok, the extra cost to rebuy the damaged parts is way lower than the savings made when buying many other parts as used.
  14. True. But I don't like rubber elements to attach parts.
  15. Magnets are reliable if the model is well designed in the first place (for example, 2 magnets must be perfectly aligned for stick together correctly). In my Executor and Venator, I never experienced any problem with magnets. However, for a smaller ship, I do not recommend to use magnets. Some other alternatives such as Bionicle joints or Mixels joints might be more appropriated.
  16. It seems it took 15 emails from me and several guys reporting the item for the auction to be withdrawn... Thank you all. Let's just hope that he does not repost the auction in a near futur... Régis
  17. Go for LBG slopes 4x1 on the tower. They are available in that color for about 1 year.
  18. Hello guys, I sadly need your help once more. :'( A guy is duplicating the instruction and selling it at an outrageous price on ebay. http://www.ebay.fr/itm/121921402525 Would you please help me to report that guy/auction ? Any help is appreciated. Régis
  19. I wonder what is more appropriated to this message : or ?
  20. The pics extracted and published here and there are not in HD. The instruction is.
  21. The entire instruction (with part list) is in HD.
  22. Thank you for the pictures. It is much appreciated. :)
  23. Note that the new 2x2 wing released soon might be very useful to do a sleeker design on the side panels of the cockpit.
  24. It is. Like 10179 and 75105 are both minifig scale. Whatever. Designing a (good) Lego model is not a matter of scale. If you apply a ratio on each dimension of the real ship to convert it to the "scale" you chose, you are bound to fail. Things do not work like that. Hint : you should focus on key parts which will set the scale of your model.
  25. Full Interior with minifigs, nice textures, hinged everywhere, stable build, totally modular design. I am sorry if you are disappointed with the model, but the final model totally matches my expectations and standards. And according to the many emails I get, also matches the expectations of many people.
