  1. Great job on Elis Helrot and Tzizvvt, I will have to get hold of those. As time goes on we are getting more and more. Here are a few that I have done based on characters in the movie: You have also got the head of Cad Bane which can be used for the two Duros, Thi-Sen which is close enough to Muftak, and of course a couple of Jawas which are now getting cheaper since the advent calendar has been released.
  2. Agreed, they are actually as grey as an AT-AT, but you never see anyone making a white AT-AT.
  3. If the Millennium Falcon is white, then what does that make this Star Destroyer?
  4. No, it isn't worth it since you can spend a fraction of the money on some mods that will make it better than the official set
  5. That's a huge improvement over 9492. I have wanted to do something similar myself but never figured out how to do it since getting that round shape is incredibly hard with the available pieces. I would also like to see the back.
  6. Hi Valezri, that's looking really great. I can see you have put a lot of time into making things accurate, including putting the right things in each alcove. I would love to see some closer images of all your custom aliens. The only thing I would say is that it looks slightly too small to be true to scale, the cantina turns out to be a lot bigger than you expect and I have scaled mine up several times to get things to match the movie stills. If you take a look at my last post I go into some detail about how I came to the alcove size that I have now. The key thing is that in Han's alcove at least the window and table are off centre which allows you to have a larger booth without having the table in the middle and chairs against each wall.
  7. This would make a really great set!
  8. Sure, you can get it, but that involves spending at least $900 on the set and then peeling the stickers off the windscreen :) Thankfully this new windscreen solves the problem.
  9. You've done a good job, it looks great. I'm not sure why you don't like the new windscreen, I personally think it is a big improvement even though it isn't very accurate. That old windscreen is practically impossible to get hold of in trans-black, I've had a watch on it on Bricklink for several years and every time they come up they get snapped up in seconds.
  10. Take a look at which has people standing next to the speeder. It is raised off the ground but goes from just above their heads to about knee level. This would make the speeder 5 studs high if you were going purely off the height of a minifigure, which arguably isn't a good way to do it considering that the Rey's head is so huge with her mask on, so if anything it should be bigger than that.
  11. Really great, inside and out.
  12. That's a good start. If you are looking for movie accuracy then that technical journal schematic is not the best. This page highlights the problems with it. There is a lot of good info on that site that can help. Studying the movie and production stills is the best resource although it's not easy due to the way it was shot. If you're not interested in movie accuracy then just ignore me :)
  13. Incredible work as usual. You set the bar very high!
  14. Very impressive, so many great details.
  15. Nice mod. If you want to make it more like McQuarrie you could make the sides grey. I have always loved his concept A-Wing and the light grey/blue combination also reminds me of vintage lego space sets. I've been doing exactly the same thing although it has been sitting half finished in a drawer for months!
  16. That's cool, I remember wanting to build some R3 units a while ago and being disappointed that the transparent dome wasn't available.
  17. I don't think you understood what Raskolnikov was saying, those are two completely different uniforms with the same helmet. If you look at the first picture he posted you can see them both.
  18. Great cantina with lots of lovely little details, well done!
  19. Great job, I like what you've done there. Ever since I got my ewok village I have wanted to increase the height of the trees in a similar way although I can't afford another complete set! The only thing I would do differently would be to make the trunks a bit less bumpy, as if you look at redwoods they are quite smooth.
  20. Hi benisnow, it is good to hear that you are still working on yours. I bet that sound module is great, you should do a video of it. I look forward to seeing your progress.
  21. I have just noticed on bricklink that the fez is available from a few people in brown even though it isn't in any sets yet, check it out: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=88&itemID=85558
  22. Really fantastic set design, why don't you work for TLG?
  23. Great build, who knew that their daughter was Mon Mothma?
