You could use 3mm rigid hose for the handlebars and maybe swap out the slopes at the sides of the stairs for tiles placed at an angle for a smoother slope. I would have started with the lift doors, since getting those to fit and look right will be tricky

Price is understandable considering the work involved. Can I reserve one please?

Really nice. It looks better than R2-D2 in my opinion

This model is just unbelievable and insane! I have been staring at the photos with my mouth open. The shaping is wonderful, but it is the detailing that takes this to another level. Everything on there down to the tiniest detail is accurate to the model. I have seen a lot of Lego Millennium Falcons over the years but you have pushed the boundaries out on what is possible.

Wow, unbelievable build. It even has an interior!

[MOC] Lord of the Rings- Aragorn "I Swore to Protect You"
TheBear replied to samiam391's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great rendition of the scene, the trees look superb. The only thing I would change would be to remove the chest armour from the Uruk Hai, because the scouts didn't wear it and the torso print is made for them.- 14 replies

This thread just goes round and round in circles with the same discussion being had time and time again. It is around this time that someone will pop up and say that they couldn't do battle packs because they only had the "construction" license which requires a certain number of building parts per set.

Great looking Falcon. I have been working on one myself for a long time but not finished it yet. You have done a great job on the cockpit corridor, I have found that and the mandibles to be the hardest bits. One thing I would say is that your mandibles look enormous, but I suppose they are more in scale with the cockpit which will always be oversized at this scale. If there is no way to shorten them you could mitigate this a bit my extending the centre bit between the mandibles by a couple of studs so that it is roughly in line with the middle of the two front service wells.

Everyone can build without instructions, you just need to keep trying. The more you build the better you will become, don't sell yourself short.

A better Force Pike for the Emperor's Royal Guards
TheBear replied to Lord_Bloodwort's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I have seen this used as Admiral Ackbar's little wand, for which I think it works quite well, but it is way too short for a force pike. -
The rebel trooper in the activity book now makes more sense after seeing the trailer.

What is a period? They are called full stops.

[MOC] The Master Sword Clearing - Legend of Zelda
TheBear replied to Vorkosigan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That is excellent! I am playing A Link To The Past at the moment with my five year old son and he will love this! -
Awesome Echo Base! I like the way the shadows from the lights are cast onto the wall. It is these kinds of details that take it to the next level. You attention to detail in general is amazing.

There are still ways to get a lot of them much cheaper. For example, Samwise Gamgee is €15 on Bricklink, but you can pick up the torso for €1.50. I found I already had the head because it is the same one used on the A-Wing pilot. Legs and hair are pretty cheap. The only problem with a lot of them is the cape, but if you are willing to go third party on that then they can be picked up easily from somewhere like capes4minifigs.com

Which video is that?

Put him in a Home One briefing set, with an updated General Lando, Mon Mothma and a new Admiral Ackbar mould that looks like this. Throw in a Rebel Technician, Prune Face and an Ishi Tib.

I wish they would bring out another set with the curved 6x1 slope, I have still only got 1 of the 7 I need.

Great update, weapons technician is new to me, but I see it is a Rebels thing. The only thing that looks wrong is that the ISB officers should have black trousers.

Nice, thanks.

Bricklinking the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon :-)
TheBear replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Star Wars
He has bought 4 for £102 each on Bricklink and is now offering 2 for sale on there for £196 each. Maybe someone will be stupid enough to buy them. It doesn't really help other people trying to build it though. -
Where did you get them at those prices?
