I think your best bet will be to exchange e-mails in private messages, or host the file remotely and provide a link.

Because I mistook which was the rare piece? I thought it was the longer hair that is uncommon, not the shorter hair. I thought someone said that the rare one is also Hermoine's hair, and the other doesn't look like hers at all.

Ah, it's one digit off. 4506003 is the same color, and looks the same to me, but then again, I'm a guy. I thought 4506003 came up in the list of parts at BnP when I typed in the set number for GG...

Found: NISB Grand Emporium for $100
rollermonkey replied to rollermonkey's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Well... Feedback for the first two GE sets sold by this guy are up, and positive. They do state that shipping was a bit slow, though. If this is a dropship scam, he should get 2 positives and 1 negative based on the price offered. I wish there was a way to contact the other buyers to see if it came from LEGO directly, or from CA where the seller's profile states he is located. -
The white cat AND the ladies hair, AND the dark red inverted slopes. Made a second, smaller BnP order. :) I already ordered the 50 1X8s. Paid 2 euro each, for US$138 total. I'm done buying parts until next month, too. Wife is mad about money without even knowing I've bought LEGOs this month. :)

Well, I'm on this train now, too, it seems. Placed 4 orders: two through LEGO (one PAB order, one Bricks and Pieces order) and two BrickLink orders. Started by ordering all the 1X1, 1X2 grooved, 1X3, 1X4, and 1X8 sand green bricks. Then supplemented that with all the parts required for steps 1-3, ordering the full quantity for each part required for the whole build. (Example: two 1X2 metallic grate tiles are used in step 2, but I ordered all 7 required during the whole build. I also got the blue 1X3X2 blue arches from someone who also had the mouse. That came out to 22 of 311 lots, and 548 of 2352 total pieces. I figure if I keep alternating buying a couple expensive parts and all the remaining parts for the next step or two, I can spread the cost out a bit and actually slowly start building. I see Stevkir is using a 32X32 plate instead of two 16X32s, I plan on doing the same, just because it should be easier to obtain. Oh, nice! I didn't realize that the sand green 1X8s and 1X2s were the biggest cost in the whole set, and that's behind me already. For the most difficult pieces remaining, I guess those would be the lady's red-brown hair, the boy's torso and the white cat. :)

Found: NISB Grand Emporium for $100
rollermonkey replied to rollermonkey's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
That makes no sense. I'd complain if they did that to me. Besides, if they have an issue with the shadier end of the resale market, they could very easily cripple the whole resale market by bringing sets out of retirement periodically, much like Disney does with the movies in the 'vault'. I mean, there are single bricks/parts that go for tens of dollars because of artificial scarcity. -

I wonder if anyone has these microfigs on BrickLink... -
Found: NISB Grand Emporium for $100
rollermonkey replied to rollermonkey's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
But he has a 96.5% positive feedback rating? Huh. Well, I paid via PayPal, so getting my money back shouldn't be too hard if he flakes. Based on those negative feedbacks, and how other buys had positive feedback for the same item at the same time, it seems like he might post items when they fall off the back of the truck, but before his source gives them to him. (Seriously. He's selling stuff for 1/3 off, and we're supposed to believe it's all on the up and up?) -
I just got a Grand Emporium, NISB, for $100. :D <Very happy guy.

There's a "Buy It Now" on eBay, from California, and he's got 5 left. (After I got one.) It showed up today, and I can't imagine they'll last long at that price. I'm not going to link it, because it isn't mine to sell, but it should be easy to find.

News LEGO Architecture 2014 News & Discussion
rollermonkey replied to Herky's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I for one would be pretty peeved if they did ANOTHER regionally limited edition so closely on the heels of MBS. The markup to get one outside the area of release is just stupid, and a way for LEGO to just give away profits to other people. Even if they don't want to distribute it across the network of LEGO stores, a short period of availability on S@H would be much more acceptable. I'd like to think that the early leaks for MBS all indicating it's limited edition status, as opposed to Trevi, which early box art did NOT have the limited edition marking, would be indicative that it will be a standard wide release.- 180 replies

MOC SR-71 Blackbird, would love feedback!
rollermonkey replied to AskYourDoctor's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Looks very good. At that scale it's tough to capture the shape of something as curvaceous as the SR-71. Only comments / suggestions I have are these: 1. When in service, the blackbirds had no red on them. I've seen pictures of them with the striping, but it was only on out-of-service aircraft. That said, an all-black model wouldn't look as nice. 2. I think your stand is too far forward and that it's going to tip over backwards if you put it there. maybe 1 or 2 studs further back ought to do it. :) -
News The LEGO Movie: 70810 MetalBeard's Sea Cow

I couldn't wait that long to build a set like that. I doubt I'll even be able to wait until the weekend to build the Fire Brigade I bought on Ebay today. :)- 158 replies

Now that the auction is actually over: I paid $235 for FB today. I'm OK with that. I honestly didn't want to go over $250, but the $20 shipping put it $5 over that number. ...and I've got some lowball bids on a couple currently available sets. If I get outbid on those, I'll just go to the LEGO store 3 miles from my house and get points for them.

Yes. It was US$289 from Amazon w/ free shipping, and it looks like I'll beat that from this other location. Either way, it's a far better deal than possible on GG, CC or MS. :)
-
Ah well then. It meets my definition of a decent amount, but not yours. ;)
-
Excellent design! Doesn't really look much like a house, though. ;)
-
What do you consider a decent amount? :)
-
It certainly looks like the compartment that represents the 'engine room' could be large enough for a battery pack. I do know that someone was able to use power functions to motorize the old one, so I'm sure it could be done here, too.
