  1. All the blue beams in the Boss Crawler set makes it really tempting to get it. But I would only be getting it for the blue parts, and the tires. I may get 42001 and 42005, but if I purchase one of the big sets, it will probably be 42009.
  2. I kinda like it too. It's a different kind of B-model you don't see that often, built into 3 models.
  3. It would be like going to a car dealer, e.g. a Mercedes-Benz importer, and buy a brand new C-class AMG because you had just won a lot of money in the Lottery and could afford your dream car, and then getting bad looks from people around you because they wanted that car, but couldn't afford it. Why should you walk away without getting your dream car, just because other people couldn't get the same car?
  4. The 8069 Backhoe Loader brought me out of my dark ages. I ordered it online during the last days of 2012. 3 more sets have followed, the last one ordered on Saturday.
  5. So, the 42009 crane box is smaller than what you would think it to be, and as of such, appears to be more full of parts? No unnecessarily big box with 100 % space and 80 % parts in it?
  6. A signed postcard
  7. Ah, I was sure that it was somewhere I had not looked very well
  8. I keep forgetting that I can just check that list... well, so the tires are 62.4 x 20, about the size of the Logging Truck tires.
  9. I don't think so. If you look closely, the rims seem to have a "4185 Dark Bluish Gray Technic Wedge Belt Wheel (Pulley)" on the outside, likely put on the end of the axle the rims are on. If the tires were Unimog tires, the space between this part and the edge of the rims and tires would have been bigger. I think the tires are smaller, maybe the same tires that's on the 9397 Logging Truck, which is 62.4 / 20.9. The rims look different, so they might be new, but I think the tires are the same.
  10. Ah, thanks, I didn't scroll all the way down so I could see the count Btw, does anyone know where the black "Technic Tooth 1x3 with Axlehole" is on this crane? I don't see any logical placement for it.
  11. I would also like to know if there's most of the 2L black pins or the 3L blue pins.
  12. I personally don't care that much about PF, it's not a "must have" for me. Although operating such functions manually can be boring, I think it's a waste of batteries having to use 6 just to run a PF motor. I guess I'm generally not a big fan of complex models that may require PF for the functions. I'm more a fan of less complex models, I don't feel I need suspension, differentials, PF and such things. I'm planning to get the new mobile crane if it's not too expensive, but I want such sets mostly for parts and stuff to do MOCing, not for the model itself or for PF and such things. Besides, buying many sets, one would just end up with a bunch of motors and battery boxes one might not even need.
  13. Okay. Well, this set interests me alot, but I fear it will be too expensive for me to get. As the Unimog had a "normal" price of 200-210 Euro in Norwegian online stores. And with this set having like 600 more parts, I doubt it will be any less in price.
  14. Aren't those long axles packed in something stiff to protect them from getting bent?
  15. This truck looks really cool
  16. Thanks for the review, it gave me a good understanding of how complex this model is, and how everything works. Also got a good view of some of the most interesting parts from your pics.
  17. What would Toys'R'Us have to do with it? Can they be getting some sets for exclusive sale through their stores, which might be slowing down sales of other sets from other stores or something?

    Fake ninjago

Any real Lego fan would still call it a disgrace for countries selling Lego at reasonable prices, to also sell such cheap clone crap
  19. So agreed.
  20. The fishing boat looks interesting
  21. We have high prices in Norway too. Both the 8110 Unimog U400 and the 9398 4x4 Crawler has a normal price of around 210 Euro. The online store I bought the Unimog from had it on 20 % sale though, so I got it for around 185 Euro. But I still think it's a bit much, although the model is quite big.
  22. Oh, didn't know about that site.
  23. I first thought the orange/red one was yours, rebuilt with a different color scheme, but I didn't read the text properly first
