  1. Oops, wrong topic. I always regret not entering contests.
  2. My costume was not so easy- my Halloween costume was a Ghast. It was a square box about 3.75 cubic meters, I spent two hours painting it. Then I put the decorations on, I used construction paper and paper streamers for the legs. It actually looked pretty accurate considering I ended up paying about $20 for all the materials and I threw it together in 2 days. I still went trick-or-treating, but there was a huge storm before my friends and I got home, now my costume is just a lump of soaking wet cardboard
  3. But in real life, it's much easier to just do that, in LDD it's a pain in the megablocks. I guess it is realistic, though.
  4. Oh, sorry. I guess I should have known the rim offset wasn't that much, it makes much more sense now.
  5. I think it might have better performance if you support the 8L axle more by adding this some extra parts. Put a 4L stop axle where the blue dots are: And stack on 3 thin 3L liftarms (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=6632) Did you not do that because it may jam the 24t gear in the portal axle?
  6. Are you using portal axles? Also, is the first picture a WIP? I can see the gears are switched from the 1st and 3rd picture.
  7. Yes, some old red parts are very weird, they are darker and almost translucent. I have a red 8t gear from a Slizers set with the same problem as your Slizer foot. The MOC is amazing, I love how you took regular HF scale and elevated it, and the color scheme is perfect!
  8. I think LDD files are just plain ugly, I kind of ignore them. I love renders though, and they look much better than LDD. LDD to POV-ray is free, it's not much work to render a model...
  9. Don't forget Eurobricks!
  10. Wow, one of the best GBC's I've ever seen! It's very fast, good job on optimizing it!
  11. Do the wheels drive any function? Also, quite off topic, but I'll ordering 15 pneumatic cylinders for my latest project...
  12. So no RC, for something like the shear Alasdair posted?
  13. Great GBC, although I think pneumatics shouldn't really be used in things like GBCs, they're quite slow if automated.
  14. I've already got an entry, not sure if I should post it yet. Just to clarify, the entries are not judged in any way right?
  15. I think those are the closest you can get. How much does it depend on speed? e.g. Would a Lego airplane probably be able to fly if the rotors spun at 13000 RPM? I know some real helicopters' blades spin at less than 400.
  16. Great little MOC, Lego really needs to bring back pneumatics!
  17. Awesome contest, I might actually enter it! Do I see a Harry Potter elf?
  18. Haven't you broken any 12t bevels? I'd expect that's where something would go wrong.
  19. Nope, I've never made a pair of pliers. What?
  20. Looks extremely powerful! Are those lime wheels bigger than power pullers?
  21. Really creative and original creation! It's a shame the pullback motors don't have any torque...
  22. I just noticed, what are the two u-joint shafts in the front for? Two steering wheels?
  23. I am guessing they are this shape? O O O O O O O O O With sideways pinholes here and there? Those new tires look like they would be great for truck trial.
  24. Congrats, the ship is breathtaking! Are those camshaft pieces painted?
  25. Nice work! I really like the use of 6L and 9L links for the bodywork.
