tree building with 6052759 Arch 1X12X3
Peppermint_M replied to CaptainToad's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It works okay, but it all depends what it is for. I have placed it inverted as a "middle" level branch using technic axles and bricks/plates with technic holes. I have also used it for structures that are part of the tree, so it lets it looks like a natural root structure the building is built within. Trees are fun to build, but also very frustrating! -

Staff will discuss this new theme once we have enough solid information, and then place it according to our conclusion. -

Peppermint_M replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, once there are pictures things will be clearer. -
There are a number of tutorials here in the Minifigure Customisation Workshop.

I am hoping the Emily set is small, like her bedroom, or the garden side of the portal. That way I can get the figure and get my sister the set with her namesake!

ライザメカ (Foyles In-store MOC)
Peppermint_M replied to AyliffeMakit's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Now this is the kind of imagination I love Thanks for sharing this MOC. -
This is amazing! The curves are gorgeous and I adore that Snowy in a spacesuit, the tail alone is genius. A thumbs up my friend!

It could be Ninjago, but Johnny came back for the LEGO Movie dropship set. A girl can dream... Ninjago would be okay and is probably most likely I know.

I will be going to the Cardiff store soon, I'll be doing a little new stuff buying then. Might as well sink the postage costs into the sum total of a trip to the city (Train, lunch and beers make for better feeling on the bottom line than a nasty postage cost, even if I pay more for the day trip!)

Hello and welcome to the LEGO Media and Gaming forum. These days LEGO is not just a construction toy. LEGO is an array of games, TV shows, web-content and movies. This forum has been designed to cater to this area of LEGO fandom. What Belongs Here This Forum is home to discussion related to: LEGO Video Games, LEGO Board Games, LEGO TV Series, LEGO Movies, LEGO web-content, LEGO Books and LEGO Comics. If it isn't the physical bricks or LDD technical jargon then you can talk about it here! However we would prefer the Constraction Figure storyline discussion to remain in the Action Figures forum where it has thrived as an important part of the forum since the founding of that section. What About The Bricks? If you have come to Eurobricks directly through this section then this is an important question. After all, these media properties go alongside the excellent building sets TLG produces. Each respective LEGO theme is discussed somewhere on the forum. The below links will take you to the right places to talk about the construction toys. LEGO Ninjago . LEGO Superheroes . LEGO Bionicle. The LEGO Movie. LEGO Licensed. LEGO Star Wars LEGO Lord of the Rings LEGO Elves LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean

Lets get real. You'd (me too!) wait for the season to be over, come back and binge watch the lot and then skip on back to the magical land! In fact, if anyone has watched the episodes, she can come and go as she pleases now.

Lego Ninjago 2016
Peppermint_M replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Tiger Sharks are a kind of shark. Tiger Moths are a kind of plane. Tiger is also a big cat and adding it to something else will make it more scary. Heh. -
Well then. I will be having one Loki vs Iron Man and one Lost Temple please! (OH PLEASE BE JOHNNY THUNDER). I do like the figures for these sets, I keep telling myself I will get the Bat Cave set because of the classic . These will certainly be on my radar!

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
You need to watch more anime if you think morality issues are rare! The main thing about anime is that it is not a genre in and of itself, it is a form of media and therefore covers the whole range. Not one for waifu or the like, but Major Motoko Kusinagi is all kinds of badass! -

Lego Ninjago 2016
Peppermint_M replied to LegendsOfNinjago's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Just a point of clarification: In TLG Speak a Big Bang theme is what we here call an Action(/Adventure) Theme. Evergreen themes are the regulars who have yearly new releases or very short gaps between incarnations (City, Pirates, Castle, Star Wars and so on). Although some are certainly thematic to a different section of EB (Like some SciFi releases must have been thought of as Big Bang in corporate speak) a lot of the recent ones have slotted in here. -
Oooh, dragons make Peppermint happy! It looks like my Elves collection may expand past the polybag and the boat. Thanks for the news. I'll let us get a little way into August before I swap the pinned threads though. Some summer waves are only just hitting shops, so it is better to hang on at least a little while.

Playing with 'your' Lego with kids?
Peppermint_M replied to ficbot's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have something I call the "Monkey Box". It is a free-for-all box I use to distract kids, visitors and my brother-in-law. Also, teaching respect for others property is an important thing for kids. One of my brothers has been LEGO mad since he was old enough to appreciate his toys. He is 12 years younger than me. So when we had to share a building space, he was about 5, I told him he could look at my sets and MOCs, he could borrow instructions and ask me how I built a MOC or made a particular feature work. Once experience taught him that LEGO creations can be fragile (from his own builds) I trusted him to handle my MOCs (he often watched me build) and once or twice even fixed things my dad broke by accident. He would never dream of borrowing without permission and owns up if something breaks in his hands. He is 14 now and a much better builder than I was at that age, simply because he learned from watching me and skipped all the time I wasted on trail and error! While it isn't quite "The Man Upstairs", I am not about to let anyone tear through my models!
