Ch II: Team DeGothia: Cat B: The Solitary Medic
Rogue Angel replied to Legopard's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is a beautiful build! The shape of the build itself with the rock widening out from the water with the house and tower on top, and the water spread below is excellent, but the details are what really make it. The grey snot on the tower, the flesh brickwork on the tower, the roof idea is original, the foundation, the door in the rock, all great, but the best things are the walls of the house, where the supports are flush with the walls, and separate from the corner pillars like they should be, the little timber with the boat and the fish strung from it, and the swan, which is a work of art! Fantastic job! -

Nice job! That is a very interesting tree technique you've used. I like the story and the path, but the mud puddle is by far my favorite.- 34 replies

Ch II: DG Collab: Cat B: Overwhelming Susanna
Rogue Angel replied to kabel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice job on this! I like the green roofing, the corral for the cows and the trees in the background. I especially like the character of the house and the use of the brown modified tiles for the windows. The figure choice and placement is what makes this build though IMO. Great build! -

Exellent job! You've got some fantastic brickwork details on this tower, and this just a great build overall. I like the theme of it with the trees at the bottom of the island and the orc heads on pikes, and I love the story as well. Great build! -

Rogue Angel replied to Mike S's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent job on this build! The shift in orientation really makes everything stand out. I especially like the trees and the boulder on the left, but all of the rockwork looks great! I also love the use of the Umbaraan for the Drow. I may have to consider this. Excellent work! -

Rogue Angel replied to Kai NRG's topic in Guilds of Historica
I like the path, the roof, the patients on the roof, and the original techniques you've used with the walls. I also like the use of hands in multiple locations. My favorite part though is the creature above the doorway. Great work!- 29 replies

Rogue Angel replied to Hammerhand's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice tower! I really like the original design, the supports and the ladder. I also like the rockwork and the palisade. My favorite part though would be the guys building the palisade. Great job for a 1 day build! -

Rogue Angel replied to krono111's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent work on the wall. I also really like the gate, the ivy along the side, and the general landscaping and groundwork. If you can just get at least one close up picture and edit out the background (maybe with a free editing program such as Gimp) your presentation will be much more impressive. Excellent MOC! -

Rogue Angel replied to narbilu's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great job! I really like the tan building in the back, and I love the two towers over the water (from what I can see). I would love to see more pictures of these. What makes the build though is the minifig posing and the story. Lots of details in this build - Excellent build! -
Ch II: Team Simon: Cat A: Outside the Drow tunnel
Rogue Angel replied to Etzel's topic in Guilds of Historica
I too love the hillock, and I think you've used a great technique for your trees here. The skellie heads actually don't look too bad for Drow, and I like the way you incorporated Vitruvius torso into this build. Nice build! -
Ch. II: Team DeGothia Collab: Cat A: Aiding the Refugees
Rogue Angel replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Advance!??? That palisade was put there for a reason, and these "advances" defeat the entire purpose, and will continue to spread the plague. We Avalonians do not think with our coffers like some wealthy Kaliphlinites. Great build! I think the tree is my favorite part, but I also like the path and the flowers and palisade, and I really like the story. I like how many of our GoH builders incorporate the shadier side and dealings of Historica, because this is probably accurate to what would often happen. Great build!- 21 replies

Ch. II: Team DeGothia Collab: Cat A: Quarantine
Rogue Angel replied to Niku's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great job! I like the roof and it appears you suffer from "not enough dark green plates in my collection syndrome", otherwise that roof would be all one layer - I have had to do the same type of thing with other colors. I like the roof technique, the use of the masonry bricks, and the character of the road. My favorite part though is the story and the figure posing (especially the boarding up of the windows). You really capture the atmosphere of Avalonia. Excellent work! -
CH II: Team Simon: Cat A: Losing the Dwarven tunnels
Rogue Angel replied to narbilu's topic in Guilds of Historica
I really like the story for this build, and the scene with the half elf descending into the tunnel really makes it for me. I like the Endor-esque tree, and I love the incorporation of the Duergar. Great entry! -

Rogue Angel replied to qiadris's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice build! I really like the landscaping, but the wall is my favorite part, including what appears to be a ruined door? I would have liked to have seen a more level angled shot of the build, but it is well done nonetheless.- 22 replies

Rogue Angel replied to soccerkid6's topic in Guilds of Historica
WoW! Your angled plate technique is spectacular! I had never even though to try this and it looks fantastic. The little wall in the corner also struck me as looking incredibly realistic for a ruined wall. The stones are very well placed throughout the build, and the figure placement makes this look like a real battle. This is a fantastic build, and I absolutely love it!- 32 replies

Rogue Angel replied to Yooha's topic in Guilds of Historica
I really like the tall roof, and the roofing technique on this building. I also love the garden out front - this is a great touch. The interior is well done, and I especially like the little side room. Great job! -
Ch II: Team DeGothia: Cat B: A Black Day
Rogue Angel replied to Bregir's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent story! I also like how you've packed a lot into this build - the house and the tree next to it have a lot of character. I would like to see a few tiles, like between the merlons of your wall, and maybe on your stone parapets, but that is just my opinion. Again, your story is excellent, and really made this entry for me.- 22 replies

This is a gorgeous build, which was especially evident when I saw it in person at Brickworld. The colors work great together, especially the blue slopes in the rock base. All the little details in the walls of the lighthouse are superb, and you have done a great job here with the water technique. My favorite parts are the doors and the little quay at the base. Wonderful entry!

Ch II: Team Simon: Cat B: Fortifying Avalonia
Rogue Angel replied to Infernum's topic in Guilds of Historica
Superb build! As in your Cat A, the use of the curved slopes works really well. I really like how the palisade is layered in depth, and the house is outstanding! The rockwork on the first floor and the roof are excellent. My favorite things are probably the little stairs and the path from the door. Excellent work! -
Ch II: Team Simon: Cat A: Gathering Information
Rogue Angel replied to Infernum's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent work! I really like the use of the curved slope pieces in the foreground, and the curve and greebling of the wall is excellent. I also like the campfire, and it is odd that there aren't more campfires in GoH builds. Great entry!- 28 replies

Rogue Angel replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is a very clean MoC full of nice details. The beds are amazing, and really drew my attention. The windows are also very nice (both types) as are the walls and the border of the build. I agree that each character has their own story, and this is a very touching build. Excellent work!- 30 replies

Ch II: Team Simon: Cat C: The Betrayal.
Rogue Angel replied to odidoma's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is a superb entry! The scale and technique of the rockwork are excellent, as is the base and the landscaping. The waterfall and the pool are great additions. I really like that you have the rocky platform above, as it turns this build from 2d into 3d (even with the waterfall.) The figure posing is excellent, and this is just a great build overall. Excellent work! -
Ch II: Team Simon: Cat. A: Old Friends
