  1. This could be really good. I'm hoping for a "wishing chair" vibe. I'm keeping an open mind on it and looking forward to some new colors and parts.
  2. Nice idea and very nicely done. Lots of life and action, although the Courtyard looks maybe a little crowded. I really love the round tower, and I appreciate the way you have distinguished the other towers too.
  3. Ha ha awesome! Those panda families on a day out are so cute. You rock Alan!
  4. Sand red, sand green, gold, sand blue, dark orange, dark tan, light blue, lilac
  5. @Borex I'm afraid not, these all seem to be copied straight from the standard Lego sets. I haven't got any gotg apart from the SDCC Rocket so I'll be picking these up!
  6. Oh thanks Wilson I wanted to know about those JLB set quality. They look pretty good, printed legs and everything. Have you bought the one piece or Dragon Ball or transformer sets? I have just picked up the Decool new iron man and punisher waves and the SY young justice sets. And... breaking news. .. The missing 6 Decool numbers are GoTG 0175 Ronan the accuser with cloak and hammer 0176 Nebula 0177 Gamora 0178 Drax 0179 Star lord no helmet 0180 Rocket racoon standard version not SDCC 0181 red hulkbuster as known 0182 big Fig venom Also for the first time 201 to 206 are league of legends characters. No idea who these are but they will be useful for fantasy/history building
  7. Absolutely beautiful. The lighting really looks fantastic in this moc, and I never knew about the bull scenes. Excellent!
  8. I really love the creativity you're bringing to this challenge. Congratulations so far and good luck!
  9. @behemoth, it's really up to you how you allocate your budget. In my opinion the mix seems unbalanced between minifigs, accessories, and bricks. It is rare for the minifig elements to be more than half the value of a Lego set. Having 13 uruk chai will not especially distinguish your set up, as many on the forum will have a lot of LoTR figs. Some people really appreciate the custom minifig effort but honestly most of the comments I see here are about build or photography, not so much about minifigs. Still, it's up to you so just do what feels right and have fun!
  10. That first shot looks great. I love the hammer and the window. The triangular plate looks a bit out of place, as it is the only studded part. Nice build!
  11. Lovely build. Will you do a warhammer one too?
  12. All of the guilds feature grassy areas and you can base your character in those areas. It sounds like you have a preference for Avalonia, but as you have posted in Mitgardia, I am sure you would be welcome there too. Kaliphlin has beautiful grasslands on its northern borders.
  13. @ Hobbythorn, Yes, Barqa is a free city even though it is under the stewardship of Lord Gideon. You are welcome to build there, though it is polite to seek permission from the Lord as you have done.
  14. Looking fantastic! I preferred your earlier windscreen bottom edge, which really captured the curved look
  15. Great news. Looking forward to new dinosaur moulds. I'm not really a fan of the films but it would be nice to get Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Richard Attenborough minifigs. More sand blue and olive dino parts please!
  16. These are just incredible. I have no superlatives good enough.
  17. Congratulations Mike and Gideon! Ruadh Gallery is up
  18. The Petraea General Trading Company was quick to take advantage of the art tourists visiting the quaint ateliers and beautiful light of Ruadh. In the distinctive gallery of Mme Franck, the wealthy could exchange their riches for paintings that told the world that they were customers of exquisite taste and discernment. This building was made entirely with stuff already on my desk, which is basically my PaB visit and some decorative elements I picked up at the HKACG. Still not unpacked my bricks post move
  19. Beautiful minifig selection, placement and posing. Truly outstanding, especially in the shot looking from eye level up at the horseman. Excellent presentation as always. The buildings are a bit plainer than some of your recent work, I guess that is the character of this town.
  20. I was thinking of doing something quite similar (one day!) I just read "Witness to Roswell" which is a real eye-opener. I will go for more of a WW2 vibe, but I love what you've done here. The saucer should be a bit more bashed up I think, and I can't tell which of the greys is the survivor. How about something on the 1954 Eisenhower treaty?
  21. Gorgeous, Mike! RBC, are you defecting? Why not just go on an extended tour of the other provinces? In summary, the bad guys the Black Spire won in Nocturnus with Valryio, but they are squabbling internally now. The Avalonia civil war was a great set up of either defeat the plague or defeat the drow. The plague side won (most of the Kali builders were on that team) and the drow retreated. There was a minor naval skirmish between Mitgardia and Kaliphlin which we won. Now the Mitgardia civil war set up is beginning. After that we will have the Kali civil war and then back to Nocturnus. @Ska, I would love to help but I don't really have any bricks or building space at the moment
  22. Love it Mike! The tiled walls look great and that roof is superb! Very nice techniques.
  23. That's beautiful Behemoth. Worth checking out other photos of the site too. The PGTC has completed its Ruadh gallery. It's a small but rather....eye catching and distinctive building which requires an open plot in the city. Complicated story behind it is, I could only use what was actually on my desk, which means the contents of a PaB cup and a visit to the HKAGC. Will post when we get some of that famed Ruadh light here. Actually, it might be a bit of a controversial structure. I don't want to lower the tone of the neighbourhood. SarahJoy, if you prefer it could be a Ruadhi gallery in Lost Vegas?
  24. X men DoFP pretty much OK. Always a pleasure to watch actors of the quality of James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage etc having fun. The story was riddled with massive plot holes though like 6/10 I am number 4. Utterly awful. Some aliens are hunting some other aliens so there is a 90 minute chase scene and a 20 minute fight scene and... The good guys win. I'm actually going to give this a 0/10
