  1. I'm just waiting for the angry members who are outraged at Brickset for calling NK a Castle subtheme...
  2. New ball joint! It's a 1x2 w/ball on end, easily seen on Camillot.
  3. The Detective's Office had printed door-sized window panes. I'd fully expect these to be the same.
  4. It's a good concept, but what a mess. The colors are awful.
  5. Most of the Modulars are set in the 1930s-1950s era, so they aren't restricted by current standards.
  6. So many new books! That's probably the best part of this entire theme. I just realized what a colossal pain it will be to remove the 1x1 pyramid pieces. Brick separator definitely required. I wanna see the Ultimates! Lavaria sounds too cool!
  7. The Blade Cruiser has grown on me. I like its tank-ish look, and the new angular windscreen. I can't wait to see how it works.
  8. I cannot see where the NK shields are being used as floor tiles. Help?
  9. Judging by the freakin' identical Spider Droid, the Droid Escape will be nothing to look at. I do like the Carbon Chamber, though.
  10. What. Seriously? These are seasonal sets? They're only loosely holiday-related. I suppose after the vignettes this year, LEGO could only go down, but still. I do like the park, though, even though it baffles me. It's too big for a Brick Bank tie-in, but the context is totally lost on me. It's nice to have a cheaper way to get that hair rather than stealing it from a Weeping Angel.
  11. While this set isn't as grand as I had hoped, I love it! The details, building techniques, and NPUs are creative as ever (ingot pillars!), and the story built in seems fun and lends itself perfectly to the SH universe. I love the robbery vent, and that one of the washing machines seems to connect to it...(love the "money laundering" pun, too!) The figures are also pretty nice, although I didn't realize that the blonde was a woman until I saw her torso! I approve of the hairpieces. Some of the best we've seen in a Modular. The "junior official" torso looks nice. Overall, this set looks to be a lot of fun, and certainly the most creative and "I-want-to-build-that" in nature.
  12. The "In Summer" set is pretty clever, although Olaf is seriously lacking a boater hat. The Palace looks interesting. Do Elsa and Anna have new hair? I love the Snowgies. THANK YOU, LEGO, FOR THE LITTLE MERMAID JUNIORS SET. I've been hoping Ariel would be in a smaller set again (I need that hair), but I didn't think it would happen.
  13. I knew Merlok wasn't a figure. These sets look pretty nice though. The biggest are the best, but I do enjoy Moltor and Beat Master's sets, and the sets with the royal couple.
  14. Not particularly excited about this set. The only thing I'm interested in is that new gun, but since it probably doesn't shoot, it won't be that interesting.
  15. Whoa! Was not expecting Series 8! My favorites are Camillot, Tapsy (so fun), Busto (Waka meets prison), hydrant guy (been waiting for those eye tiles to be used here), treasure crab, and all of the dentistry Mixels (I love the feet on the tooth). It's such a bizarre concept, but they'd be perfect gifts for your kids after they suffer through an appointment. That new tooth tile is interesting.
  16. Ooh, sounds great! Sand green windows! And I love that these sets have gotten more playable. A robbery vent is a really nice feature.
  17. I think it's fine. Women often wore bustles in the day. But perhaps a dedicated dress mold would be nicer, rather than a repurposed brick again.
  18. It had to be the 2x4 for the "bow" to fit on it. A 1x4 dress would make the figure look too one-dimensional. Ballgowns are supposed to be poof and take up a lot of space.
  19. Good riddance, I say. The web-swinging was not fun at all, since it was far too slow and difficult to maneuver.
  20. LEGO is a toy first and a collector's item second, so I think if they offered preorders it'd be a bit silly. Imagine preordering a Monster High doll. I can see the usefulness in it, but I just try my luck in stores And angles look so acute when they're weeping...but you're totally right, you'd be obtuse to look away. It's supplementary knowledge everyone should know.
  21. I think the predictions are too generic to be real. And I'd be very disappointed in a short satyr.
  22. That's actually pretty typical in action stuff. The good guys are advance, and the villains have clunky old vehicles. But I do like the lack of futuristic tech on Team Lava. That Evil Mobile is just awesome in every sense of the word. So let me get this straight: Jestro is the Joker and Harley Quinn's medieval lovechild, but his vehicle is "Harley meets Two-Face"?
  23. I'm tired of Ninjago even though I like the sets. How it became an evergreen, I'll never know. But Dimensions packs would be awesome! Imagine Jestro fighting the Joker! But the plume seems to be a visor attachment, not a helmet attachment, which makes it impossible to be hair (attached to her head, that is).
  24. A 2x4 dress brick would have the proper poofiness to it. A 1x4 would make the figure look too flat. Hopefully, it'd have leg pegs, since the clutch power on a 2x4 would make it impossible to life the figure off a plate by the torso if it attached by studs.
  25. I think LEGO knows what they're getting into here. With a combination of two enormous fanbases, LEGO won't underestimate demand. And seriously? Pre-ordering a LEGO set?
