  1. The Ecto-1 wasn't allowed to have new molds made for it, but it acted as a gateway toward a restriction-free theme which could introduce better pieces. Now that these are coming out, the Ecto is really about the car, not the figs, but I do appreciate the variety.
  2. I doubt those molds are even in operation anymore. Whatever the case, they're not true minifigures, so they most certainly won't be used.
  3. While it is a long wait, I'll be very surprised if no other info leaks between the estimated reveal and now. LEGO just can't keep anything under wraps these days. In the meantime, I'll be happily watching the movie(s) in anticipation. I will forever respect LEGO if they include the metaphor Twinkie in there somewhere!
  4. Agreed. I always find villains in any media to be more interesting (doubly so for female villains), and I find the Disney couples to be fairly uninteresting. The Princes ironically have less charm and identity IMO.
  5. That's probably similar to what we'll get, but it'll be different somehow. I'm guessing that design was all TT's, as they had no official LEGO sneak peeks at the 2016 sets (seeing as they didn't know about the new pigtails hair at that point). LEGO usually one-ups the games in these cases.
  6. Reality check: Gravity Falls has a minimal chance of appearing in this series. While it's popular, it's not nearly as iconic as Peter Pan, Mickey, and the classic characters from the movies.
  7. Mr. Freeze is taken directly out of Arkham City, but you're right, there's not much. I personally like the more fun comics sets more, but I wouldn't mind getting an Arkham-series Joker.
  8. I understand that my preference is the least popular, but I just want them to get her right unlike the Jokerland version. I know a fully blonde hairpiece would be infinitely more usable, but I don't really care. I do see how printing the hair in that way would be a challenge, but I imagine only one half of the hair would be printed while the other half would be the base color. I just realized how disappointed I am that there's only one regular set this wave. DC's got really tiny waves these days.
  9. I'd expect a taxi cab, but the librarian is just there as fan-service. No Ecto. Speaking of the librarian, I wonder what she'll look like. I'm expecting a mostly pink minifigure with a normal face on one side, but what hair? I think Padme's EPII bun is a good match. I don't know if she'll have a dress or ghost "legs", but a dress might be more accurate.
  10. Oh, good point. But her costume itself isn't that red/dark blue combo seen in the comics or on the bike. I think it would be easier for LEGO to use a half/half color scheme for the hair than they would for the faded effect, since it's easier for rubber pieces. I do feel that the tie-in would be looser, though. I'd personally prefer a full-on comics look, though, so that's just my mind trying to justify what I want.
  11. So which Dana do we think we're getting? Zuul-Dana would be more interesting, but normal Dana would be more useful for both movies' contexts. Since Louis is being studied for Vinz Clortho possession, I'm guessing Dana's in her orange dress.
  12. Interesting. It's probably a mistake, though, since none of the HQ projects were approved.
  13. Since when is this considered an Ideas set? That's sort of the point, isn't it, that this just happened to be in development and the projects were rejected because of it.
  14. If her bike's red and blue, her hair must be as well. Harley's never worn her hair blonde or partially dyed while using the red/blue colors. So what if the hammer attachment's lame? As long as it works, I'm fine with it.
  15. I don't think that would be even close to the right hairstyle. Dana's hair is much frizzier, so the Banshee or Andrea hairpieces seem to be better options.
  16. This is the new logo. Last year, they tried out the 2x2 bricks forming a star, and now they've switched to the headlight bricks.
  17. Pixar will likely have a very limited presence in this series, and I expect the classic animated films will be more in focus, along with Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Minnie, and Goofy. All we know is that Peter Pan is supposedly included.
  18. Good! I'm glad I don't own it yet. I'll get it when it doesn't have a major flaw anymore.
  19. Since the Dimensions sets are, well, Dimensions sets, and this is a D2C, we don't need a theme thread until a hypothetical wave of sets is announced. TRU occasionally sells D2Cs like Ideas sets, and since they had the Ecto-1, it makes sense for them to carry this set, too.
  20. I think drawings would be crossing a line, as of the Nexo Knights previews he drew. A minor correction: Sqiffy has no "u" in it, because it's pronounced like "skiff".
  21. It's not too early for them to have the description. Some overzealous worker decided to post the info far ahead of time, though.
  22. Apparently, the new Batcycle is closer to the '08 one, with some Bat-Pod influence.
  23. It wouldn't be enough. It's still a huge building. Unless $10 off the price is "drastic" enough for you, the building would need to be reduced to effectively make the price lower. Besides, I love the large group of figures, especially the cabbie and librarian. I can't wait to see what they look like. Next year's gonna be murder on my wallet. Now I need this set on top of the Mixels, DC sets, Brick Bank, and a few other sets from various themes.
  24. Aw, too bad. I'm not that hyped for this wave, to be honest. While I like the steampunk idea, pirates don't interest me. I'll need pics to decide.
  25. It's not four-armed, but this figure claims to be Garmadon's ghost. I think it's a really cool figure, but it seems out of place now that the focus has shifted. I don't doubt that it's official, though.
