Yes it's real. It's relatively old news by now.

To better understand this show, I've just started watching...from the very beginning. Help me.
-
I'd love to see some minifigures, but that usually happens at Toy Fair.
-
Yes, they are very real. Please remove the video, though, as it is leaked information.

I think my biggest problem with the Angel is its face, too. The black lines look out of place with the grey, and the face looks more elderly than monstrous. Perhaps if they kept the colors grey and dark grey, it'd look better, but I understand the want to make it more lifelike to hint that it's not really a statue. It's still a good figure, but I hope they'll be able to improve it in the future. I can't wait to sneak it into seemingly innocuous scenes in the city! I was looking again at the TARDIS, and there seem to be some interesting building techniques. I like the "stairs", and the connection blends in really well. It's a real shame that the front doesn't open, though. How is Clara supposed to join the Doctor?

There's not event the slightest chance of two-part legs.

It can't be, but the vampire teddy bear and Zero would be great accessories.- 4,155 replies

The printed tiles hinge up from the sides to allow the TARDIS to unfold. They're simply part of the transformation.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Free conversations are what PMs or separate threads are for. The topics themselves are supposed to stay on track for ease of reading. If there's a lull in conversation, the best thing to do is let it be, rather than clutter it up with unrelated content and disappoint excited readers who think news has been added. It's a bit annoying to keep on track, but it's often more annoying to watch discussion go totally off the rails. To avoid hypocrisy, I'll say this: I really hope that Poison Ivy (minifig or minidoll) gets a new/better hairpiece. I'm tired of the 2012 version at this point. Given the Disneyesque art style, I'm almost positive they will be 'dolls, though. But I'll probably end up wanting a few sets, anyway, because the girl-targeted themes do have some gems. I'm sure the high school will be the flagship.- 8,446 replies

I love everything about this set (and I'm not even a hardcore fan), and the only slightly underwhelming aspect is the Weeping Angel wings, which I shouldn't complain about because Weeping Angel Minifigure. I hope that this and Dimensions are enough to launch a full-on Doctor Who theme. There's almost limitless material, and I want to see the 10th Doctor!
-
Perhaps the prints in the set negated the possibility for the one recolor. I'm hoping we'll get a spinoff Doctor Who theme with a more accurate Angel, wings and all.
-
At least you don't have to pay $60 for the 12th Doctor in his regular clothes.
-
I really really like the Angel! I really dislike the clear neck bracket, though. I like how the Doctor stands inside the Tardis box, and the figures look great.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think the point is to avoid straying from official information and rumors. If we're talking about our distaste for the show, that's not exactly relevant. But talking about what might be possible in the sets is still on topic. People come on to these topics to read about rumors and official info, not to see a bunch of DC purists hating on a show.- 8,446 replies

It's Larry the Barista's from The LEGO Movie's CMF series. EDIT: Ninja'd.

I'm really liking what I see so far. The Angel is particularly useful, as removing the wings turns it into a random statue or a Medusa victim. I appreciate the neutral face, too, and more gray female hair is good to have. I do like the bases of the Daleks, but new versions weren't very necessary. I imagine the TARDIS folding will keep me entertained for several hours (barely exaggerating). I just hope the Doctor can fit inside while it's folded, because that's essential.
-
Very very nice! I like the Weeping Angel, and at least the wings are the best option. Is it seriously using the clear neck bracket? Couldn't they have done it in grey? I want to see the demonic face! The new coat for the 12th Doctor looks nice, and the 11th looks good. The TARDIS looks nice, though the exterior seems a bit bare when unfolded.
-
If LEGO releases an image of the Weeping Angel minifigure, I'll definitely be glued to the picture...but what if the image creates several Weeping Angel minfigures that begin to menace the viewers? I can't decide if that's awesome (free minifigures), terrifying, or hilarious!
-
Nope. It's been in that color in Arkham Asylum, Darkseid Invasion, and even in the Gollum Fun Pack.
-
I'm excited, but what I really want to see are the minifigures. Hope they'll do a Weeping Angel teaser soon...

Harley's more of an antihero these days, working for herself and the Suicide Squad, but Ivy's not really a good guy at all. Perhaps the show will exceed expectations...but who are we kidding?- 8,446 replies

Perhaps you should take the discussion over to another thread, since physically altering pieces is not purist.

I won't be surprised if Woody's there anyway. I would give anything to have an official Jack Skellington! I really like the unofficial "Pumpkin King", but c'mon, it's not official.- 4,155 replies

I doubt it would be a STAMP. LEGO doesn't like to do that either. It'd probably be a design broken up over multiple stickers, or printed parts. What's your reasoning for the sign being this way?
