Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Green Goblin! Until I see the face closer, I don't know if Hobby is also on my excitement list. -
The pieces are new this year, but are not in many sets yet.

Interesting use of KRE-O until the real thing comes out!

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Comparing this wave to past waves of DC, I have to say, this one is great. The Fear Harvest is just a great set; Scarecrow, Moth, and Beetle are great figures, and the harvester and Beetle-copter (c'mon, it's blue!) are really solid vehicles. Compared to the past vehicles like the recent Batboat, Riddle Racer/Batmobile, and older Batcopter, these are almost another league. The Bat-tank is very impressive, but Croc's vehicle gets -1 point, and it raises the part count for a horrible result. Another reason I love the Scarecrow set? For once, the heroes and villains are nicely matched. A vehicled hero, a vehicled villain, a flying hero, a flying villain, and nearly-equally sized vehicles to boot! I hate it when the heroes have an overkill vehicle (Bat-tank) or hardly capable of winning (Arkham), so in many respects, this is the Joker Steam Roller 2.0.- 8,446 replies

LEGO Marvel's Avengers Video Game Discussion

Well, what did you expect? It's based on the Avengers canon, both comics and movies.- 647 replies

WHY IS HE USING WU'S FACE? That's just creepy. What was wrong with the S8 Santa's?

I like Jestro's castle and Ultimate Flama. Really glad they decided to make the orange version, too. General Magmar's Siege Engine of Doom (love that name!) is intriguing, but I want to see what it does first.

Ha! The kendo windscreen would be great for a Big Daddy MOC! -

It's sorta cute at first, but pretending to be your username/avatar gets old. \ I can't understand why I'm so excited by the Scarecrow set, but the combine is one of my favorite SH vehicles. Batman's copter is nice, but it looks like it was designed for Beetle, not Batman. The blue is really jarring, so I might leave off the Batsymbols and give it solely to Jaime.- 8,446 replies

I'm pretty sure Lloyd's NRG form is technically the Golden Ninja. -
It is. It's from Series 13 of the Collectable Minifigures, but it's now being used on a minidoll.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Misfortune's Keep does absolutely nothing for me, but I want Nadakhan and Echo Zane, so I think I'll get the newer set instead. -

The piece is new, it has a horizontal bar for a figure to hold. LEGO doesn't endorse the weak connection of the very end of a bar in a minifigure's hand. -
They finally give us a new hood piece...and it has ears. Why, LEGO? That doesn't even make sense!

I like Echo Zane, so I'll probably get that set. Zane's tumbler looks really nice. I like Yang, but the Raider isn't interesting enough to me. -
Ugh, so far away. Ragana's castle looks promising, though.
-
Pass. Only one of these (sensei) remotely interests me. And they were doing so well with Series 8. I do sorta like the Cookie Monster thing the dumpster has going on, though.

The watermelon is the obvious highlight here. I wasn't expecting that at all!

He's based on Batman: The Animated Series. So there's that. In fact, I'll be totally boring and say that I'm most excited for Scarecrow! Maybe it was my prediction, or maybe I care more about the character, but I can't wait for him.- 8,446 replies

Am I crazy for saying I want the bridge set entirely for that wonderful Green Goblin? He's great! I know I'll get the Ghost Rider set, but until I see a good closeup, I'm not totally sold on Hobgoblin. Also, I can see the bridge being a useful setpiece. Use it for DC, Ghostbusters, or, with some tidying up, a regular city. -
Oh, really? I assumed they were minikits. Perhaps I'll go back to those levels I had dismissed because of the cabinet walls. Also, I'm now a bit miffed with the programming, as the Jurassic World escort quest won't work for me. Before they reach the end, the gyrospheres will freeze in place with slight movments, but nothing will make them continue. A similar thing happened with Hans Moleman slamming into a fence and backing out for about ten minutes, but at least that one got working eventually.

Scarecrow looks good so far, but the translucent wings and mandible helmet on Moth also disappoint me. I hope our other source got a bit closer.- 8,446 replies
