  1. I imagine it's just a promotional announcement. The Mystery Mansion got a press release, but it was available everywhere with the rest of the sets. This should be no different, as it doesn't fit the typical D2C bill.
  2. Thanks. Looks like I was wrong about the car. It really is that huge! This theme seems to have a lot of promise, just like the film.
  3. Now that we know it's happening, what are the chances we get a Ghostbusters 2016 expansion in the future? While I don't know about a new world or level, I could see two of the team (probably Gilbert and Yates) being sold as a Fun Pack with the new Ghost Trap and the Ecto-1 as an alternative to Venkman. Of course, each 'Buster would be able to switch to one of the remaining two. Of course, it might be a bit presumptuous or repetitive to release packs from the new film.
  4. As long as the film isn't too overt and over-the-top in its humor, then it'll be a worthy successor. Because this set has totally sold me on the design and creativity of the film. I can't get over Holtzmann's hairpiece! The car itself is pretty snazzy, and playability-wise is far superior, with seating for all and storage. It seems more like a limousine than a hearse, though, so scale must have been sacrificed a bit. And just when I thought my monster minifigure baseplate had been sorted out for 2016, LEGO delivers more!
  5. Wow! I'm completely sold on this set and the movie! I love the ghost/demon, and the new 'Busters have some great parts! THREE new hairpieces! I love it. Good job, set. I think I'm legitimately interested in the reboot now.
  6. What does this have to do with Ninjago? EDIT: Oh, it's the hair.
  7. Great! Ra's is nice (hope he's wearing a coat) and Talia will be interesting. I'm still holding out for the rumored Ventriloquist or Two-Face, and maybe a new Batman or Robin.
  8. Agreed It only makes it worse to announce a set with no hints or info. I'm leaning toward Ra's and Talia, and perhaps Ventriloquist (though Amazingbricks' source hasn't been very accurate this year). But that's only because we've heard those rumors.
  9. It won't be a monk, but that's all we know. It depends on the hood. An executioner would need a fully covered face, but a peasant or sorcerer could use the standard one. I would hope that's not the case. Both are fine pieces, but I'd much rather have a new one.
  10. I haven't seen S15 yet, but the past few series have been divided up like this, but sold on the regular shelves. WHS is a store I've never seen or been to called W.H. Smith's.
  11. I'm afraid not. In LEGO, GL's constructs are depicted in bright green (which, to me, is the most accurate), so I used these pieces.
  12. Medusa was probably so they could be correct in saying she turns people to stone, which only she could do.
  13. I get it, but in this case, "Snow Queen" is about as concise and perfect sounding as it could be. There's no need for a humorous get-around, since it's already a title/nickname like almost all other CMFs'.
  14. I don't think the fairy tale Snow Queen is trademarked, and the term itself could still be fairly generic. Ice Queen just doesn't connote the same.
  15. I'm imagining a new black hairpiece with pointy curved red horns.
  16. For overall value, I'd say the Fear Harvest, which has some nice models and great figures. Second would be the Gotham Chase for giving Harley a proper vehicle and Harley herself. Worst may be the Batcave for sheer overpricedness. Croc's set is very mediocre to me. While the tank is okay, it's not amazing me, and the figures, while necessary to my collection, are less interesting to me personally.
  17. To be fair, Tumnus is a fairly ordinary-looking faun, so I doubt there's any connection besides the character's popularity. At any rate, the S15 character and the lesser-known character probably exclude him from this series.
  18. Indeed. My local TRU sells three of them together in plastic movie/video game cases to prevent people from stealing pieces. Intentions are good, but it doesn't help the honest feelers.
  19. I guess I wouldn't be the person to ask, but I'm not affected at all. Whenever I want a figure, I buy a set if I like it enough.
  20. Long story short, no. Disney owns Star Wars and Dimensions competes with Disney Infinity which includes SW.
  21. I doubt that. They're secret areas, hopefully teasers, but not an advertised feature of the level and only an extra besides. I don't think many people buying the pack will want it for the Jetsons, they want the Doctor. But conversely, they might not be hardcore fans who want everything in the entire Whoniverse.
  22. Cruella would be a really neat figure to have, and would be great to pair with Two-Face!
  23. Guys...this doesn't belong here. LEGO will make any villain they see fit, regardless of their dark histories, merely because most of the characters have appeared in child-friendly media and are desirable to collectors.
  24. *sigh* Either you're heavily biased toward DW or trying to get a reaction, but I will concede that Doctor Who has a lot of potential in LEGO. However, I see no need for that potential to be realized in Dimensions. Proper sets would probably deliver much more physical content for a considerably fairer price, and it would provide the lesser-known characters to die-hard fans. A little bit more DW in the game would be nice, but I don't think LEGO would bank on characters like Vastra and the Zygons (who several members here have proven aren't as iconic) to keep sales up. They've already got new licenses up their sleeves, and DW will probably be used in sets.
