ATLAS and P-Body are represented by battle-droid-like robot figures in their two brief appearances, so it's likely that they could be made as minifigures with new molds. For Wizard of Oz, though, I wonder what each character could possibly do gameplay-wise. Dorothy, the Lion, and the Tin Woodman are fairly mundane characters in terms of ability. Perhaps Dorothy could come with a water bucket and use Toto as a drone, but the others...?

Nice idea, but Nexo only refers to the heroes' stuff. Black would definitely improve the figure as well, but it already looks great.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Just be thankful the wallpaper isn't stickered! And I agree about film sets. I don't collect them, and the film figures I do have don't go on my collection baseplate.- 8,446 replies

I wonder how they'd issue the new keystones, though.

If it works, then there's no sense in making a new face print and spending more money. -

And I agree. Croc's vehicle is a mess, and will be the first that I don't keep. There's nothing aesthetically pleasing about it, and bigfig's just aren't made for vehicles.- 8,446 replies

Fine. Ask TT Games to develop a LEGO Dimensions Doctor Who edition just for you, if you're so sure of its universal popularity. I'd love more, but I don't think they need to be in the game. Sets will do fine to include more figures. I was actually considering the idea of new gameplay mechanics, too. I feel that the second outpouring of the game's packs might extend the story and introduce some new mechanics with the Toy Pad. Because only having new character and level packs would seem sort of cheap for those who finished the story mode so quickly.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

Yep, Tiger definitely has ears, but only on the turntable. I'm going to wait for a review of the bridge, but it looks like a fairly useful setpiece that transcends Spider-Man, and I must have that literally perfect Goblin. You may not have noticed but I love Halloween, and so a villain who uses it as his theme is right up my alley. -

It's not just the name, it's the film, which is not suitable for the majority of LEGO's target audience.- 8,446 replies

LEGO won't do anything based on the film, as it might get objections due to the movie's not-for-kids rating. So they're using the comic equivalents of the Squad to loosely tie into the film.- 8,446 replies

I agree that the franchises should be used more before moving on, but it'll probably stick to the most recognizable/"iconic" characters from each franchise. I think we'd get a playable Sontaran or Silurian when we get a playable Hans Moleman. Missy is almost certain for Doctor Who, but the other characters just aren't quite significant enough, and in playable terms, wouldn't bring much to the table. So, while I agree that some franchises certainly have potential, there's a limit, and anything beyond it would be best used in regular sets and not in the game.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

Hobgoblin's eyes are sometimes shown to be mismatched in size. This picture was drawn by Hobby's original designer. Honestly, I think it's the mouth that's off. Perhaps he'll have a better angry face. -

Hmm. A bit of a dilemma here. I think I will get the Bridge and Team-up for the lovely goblin villains, but I'm not sure about the mech. I like Doc Ock, and the mech is so unique (tentacle feet!) but the figures don't interest me nearly as much, especially since I have Ock in his lab coat. -

DC wants to push their current image, but LEGO does have freedom to choose, hence Cap Cold's classic design. Ironic, though, since the New 52 is now over...I'm guessing the Scarecrow was also LEGO's idea. They wanted to make a witch for S14, but made the hair intentionally strawlike so the mold could be reused again soon for Scarecrow.- 8,446 replies

It's not excellent quality, ! I'm very pleased with Hobby's mismatched eyes, and he seems to be the appropriate tan instead of white. Green Goblin's face and arms look great, too.And White Tiger has ears! -
...it's yellow. What? Ultimate Flama should have been light orange!

Please stop trying to impose Doctor Who fandom on the world. It's simply a fact that many people don't know or care for the show. Most merchandise focuses on the Doctors, Daleks, Weeping Angels, and the TARDIS, so any other characters will be vague recognitions either by name or appearance. It's fine to be passionate about something, but to try to claim that everyone is and/or should be is a bit bossy and rude. While I'm sure a lot of DW fans would keep the game alive by purchasing any future packs from the show, the general public might not care about them in favor of the more recognizable Dorothy or Stay Puft. The thing is, the franchises introduced into the game do give it appeal, but the real issue is the pricing, which seems to be a near-universal turnoff and explains the omnipresent deals at my TRU.

That would have been cute, but the matter stands that none of the ghosts in the film(s) look like that. They're either more humanoid (like the librarian) or more abstract (like Slimer and the pink and blue ghosts.) A reference to the classic ghost in a newspaper clipping or a textbook would have been neat, though. -

I was wondering where the canned worms went... Basically, it could be any character who won't require a new mold, and presumably someone fairly obscure and thus less desirable to the general base.- 8,446 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Slightly? It's completely new, with the green-accented chestplate and green-background Batsymbol. It's one of my favorite Batsuits, actually. While I do think it's one of my favorite sets in the theme, the Scarecrow set sort of falls apart when it comes to motives. Why would Crane go to the countryside to terrorize a random farmer guy? I suppose something creepy could be done with him posing as a legitimate scarecrow and then waking up to attack, but what's the purpose. Instead of a city, there's only one person to scare, and it's not really Gotham, is it?- 8,446 replies

I agree. I'm not a big fan of Scarecrow's patch or his gigantic facial stitches, but they make him look significantly different and I appreciate that. I would have been very disappointed if he were a reissue with only the new hat, but they made him new and different, and I like it. The look as a whole works, plus, it'll work great for Arkham customs. Now, if they'd only do that for Poison Ivy...- 8,446 replies
