I actually think the outrageous pricing is toned down a bit. The Spider Droid and Corporate Alliance Tank Droid seem well priced. I only wish Duel on Geonosis was $30 as well.

Minifigures Series 11 Re-use Part Guessing game.
8BrickMario replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Um, is it all right that I listed more than one reuse possibility for some of them? It's all in fun, so does it really matter? I will make a correction to the Yeti's prediction. My new guesses are a piece of chicken and a shaggy beard, maybe the Caveman's? -
Me too. I like my LEGO female Jedi. They seem to be more unique and diverse than the men. We have 3 Mirialans, two Togruta, one Twi'lek, one Tholothian, and one human. The LEGO male Jedi are diverse, too, with 3 Zabrak, one Vurk, one Nautolan, one of Yoda's species, one Lannik, one Cerean, one Kel Dor, one Kiffar, one Iktoch, one Mon Calamari and six humans. (I'm not a SW genius, I used the old Brickipedia SW minifig template and looked at the Jedi, and then looked up what species they were on Wookieepedia.) I think the females look more eye-catching and colorful than the guys, so I like their minifigs better. EDIT: Allie's head would make a great Storm with a long silver hairpiece!

I'll gladly pay $30. I didn't realize the price prior to now. The Spider Droid looks cool to me, and of course Stass Allie... Although she's the first black LEGO female, she has solid purple eyes and a bit of the Tholothian headdress on her head, so the head doesn't allow for use outside of Stass. Shame, but not a surprise. I want to like the Sail Barge, as I'm first and foremost an OT fan, but it isn't cutting it for me, It'll be sad to pass up Slave Leia and Max Rebo, but I'll probably skip this set. My top 3, in order, are the Defender Cruiser, Homing Spider Droid, and the Duel on Geonosis.

^Which set? The Defender or the Gunship? ^^Thanks! I was happy to provide pics of the SWTOR minifigs, especially the Consular I'm drooling over. Off-topic, but TRU's "longer in stock" thing blew me away again when I saw Battle for Geonosis on the shelf. I missed out on Luminara, and that was the easiest way until it was discontinued. I didn't get it, though. I think LEGO nailed the Mirialan appearance with the Jedi Consualr, and hope for a redesign of Luminara from the films akin to this. I like the female Jedi LEGO has released, film versions better (except Barriss, her CW version looks so good), so the Consular is a must have for me, along with Stass Allie.

Now I want it! I was thinking I could pass it up, but now I don't know. Darn you, LEGO, and your excellent sets...

Well, that wouldn't make sense, as all the other summer sets are coming out then, too. You gotta make all the wallets commit suicide at once!

Irrelevant, but funny! I do think the Zombie minifigures LEGO made cause a mini-revolution in the style of fan's creations and play, I will be going to Target today. I will not anticipate anything, but if the unbelievably awesome occurs, I'll tell you!- 1,076 replies

What about 9465? I never got it, and was unhappy to learn I wanted it post-discontinuation. http://brickset.com/detail/?set=9465-1
-
Wow, J2G! Like GROgall spends his days getting us (excellent) pics, do you search the web for listings of the sets?
-
Oh, wow. I feel sorry for you, LegoDoc! I have seen Helm's Deep, the Mines, Weathertop, and Shelob Attacks last I checked at TRU (a short while ago, and why I got upset over the "retired product" tag on Weathertop) and the Goblin King Battle, an Unexpected Gathering, and Wargsat most retailers. Mirkwood Spiders and Barrel Escape are slightly more elusive, where I've seen them at Target and I think TRU.

Minifigures Character Encyclopedia 2013

That happened to me with the LEGO Batman book. I ripped a bit of the cover while trying to remove the tape cleanly. I took extra care with this book and it came out unharmed.- 68 replies

Minifig close-ups: The Consular (Mirialan) is my favorite, and makes me want a film redesign of Luminara. The fact that the Consular is unnamed bugs me, as I have no idea if she is generic or actually has a name in SWTOR. Interesting that the Sith Warrior uses shortos, with 3L lightsaber bars. There is also a Sith Holocron in the set, with a trans-red 1x1 in the middle instead of a trans-blue. Interesting.

The "New and Hard to Find" tag is referring to the Mirialan, the Zabrak, and the Sith. Not the trooper.

Minifigures Character Encyclopedia 2013
8BrickMario replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I got the book today. It is excellent despite the few childish parts, and the Toy Soldier is good, too. I had no idea he had eyebrows! His shako hat is the poorest part, though. The jewel printing is slightly misaligned, there are obvious mould marks, and the machine skipped a bit on printing at the back of the brim. Chinese plastic has excellent face, body, and leg printing, but more complex pieces, like Queen Amidala's dress and the shako come out worse.- 68 replies

Lucky! I will be checking a Target on Saturday, so I will not be hopeful, but certainly happy is successful on finding him! EDIT: 6 found in Illinois? That doesn't make me happy! 3 more found makes the number smaller. Someone on Brickset calculated that there would be nine left when the count was 3, so 6 left is a less encouraging number.- 1,076 replies

I like the Lone Ranger one much better, if only for the pump car. I also need those wheels for Harley Quinn's roller coaster car in the Funhouse. Would the pump car be able to ride through the Mine? If so, integration points to LEGO.

I still want a Sauron action figure. That looked awesome in the game. The minifigure's not bad, but not as imposing. The action figure could have a special hand piece missing a finger, too. Like Furno XL, capes and armor look really cool together, so if they made a Sauron action figure, it would be top of my list. I also want a Radagast. Most likely we'll get one, too. Another polybag I would want is one of the Ringwraiths with sword from Weathertop. Would make it easier to collect all 9 or at least the ones from the scene.

Weathertop is pricey, and that brought points down on all of the Lego.com reviews. I will check the Target I visit in a few days, but TRU is the most likely choice. I checkesd toysrus.com earlier today and they had it, as Deathleech said, so that's most likely.

I love those minifigs. Mirialan, Zabrak, Sith Trooper..and guy with DARK RED hood! It is way overpriced...but SW. In the Minifigures Encylopedia, on the Forest Maiden's page, it says, "The Forest Maiden's new hair piece is made of soft plastic. It was designed so that it could be used for other forest-dwelling female characters, like one from a galaxy far, far, away..." They are hinting at an Endor Leia, maybe in the Ewok Village?

Thanks. You're right on both points. I'll only be able to downsize the sig later today, though.
