  1. Please yes, detailed minifigures are greater figures and now that they've gone down this path, I hope they will never return to simple minifigs again. "Basic graphical charm", I can only assume, must've been a by-product of nostalgia. Simple minifigures are a thing of the past. Detailed minifigures will forever triumph. They just look so much better than their overly simple counterparts, there's a certain greatness that simple minifigures "simply" cannot hold a candle to.
  2. Picture of Captain Phasma minifig: http://www.hothbrick...premier-visuel/
  3. This is my own Gandalf - I used the hair of one of The LEGO Movie minifigures (CMF) and trimmed down the beard using a knife until it fit more properly: Back in 2012, I always wanted Elizabeth Swann's hair in this colour for Gandalf, but it wasn't available back then. At least it is now. My next step is to combine another of the same hairpiece with the wizard hat.
  4. UPDATE: March 17th, 2016 - Updated "For Trade" pic! I would also consider selling certain figures. For trade: - All of the figures & things shown on the picture above - Various other Collectible Minifigures that aren't shown - Various other Castle minifigures - Some other figures from 'The Hobbit' (the dwarves, and the goblin king) In return, I am looking for almost all recent Star Wars Original Trilogy minifigures. My top priority wants include the new Darth Vader, new Rebel troopers (Hoth and Endor), new Rebel pilots, every Rebel pilot helmet ever made, new versions of Imperial troopers (not from the "Rebels" TV show sets, just the OT sets) - (mainly stormtroopers, snowtroopers and scout troopers), new versions of the main heroes and creatures such as Dewbacks, Rancors and Tauntauns. I also want most LEGO aliens (most of the time just the heads), bounty hunters, Sci-Fi-ish minifig pieces (from any theme), Astromech droids, protocol droids (polybags as well), Jedi/Sith and some figures from any Star Wars set. My main "wanted list", showing a fairly large chunk of the figures I'm looking for: I want all recent Star Wars Original Trilogy minifigs, minifigs from the newest films (like The Force Awakens), Star Wars The Old Republic figures, as well as aliens from any Star Wars set (including prequel sets) (and other LEGO aliens and Sci-Fi-ish pieces from any theme), as well as Battlefront figures, and Star Wars creatures from the Original Trilogy. (This includes Tauntauns, Dewbacks, Rancors and more...) Let me know what you've got and what you're looking for so we can sort out a trade.
  5. It seems you can't use the PM system. You'll have to do 8 more posts. Either way, I'd be interested in the following: Gandalf the White Oin and Gloin (dwarves) Gollum (The Hobbit version) Bilbo (red coat) Elf with hood (olive green body) and hair variant Elf with hood (dark green body) and hair variant Elf with dark red robes and key And maybe Merry the hobbit
  6. The Infiltrator does look alright to me. We do have to remember that these are sets - they're never going to look like MOCs by master builders. They would surely be able to do that, but they won't. All in all, the set is OK and the minifigures are the best part of it, as usual, especially Maul, though the inclusion of Watto doesn't make sense to me. Is he Maul's secret apprentice? I myself am fine with the constraction figures, but there's no reason to enforce your opinion upon those who dislike them, nor is there any reason to tell them they can't or shouldn't think what they want to think. 99% of the Star Wars subforum revolves around LEGO System (SW) sets, so the dissatisfaction towards the constraction figures was and is to be expected. You're a fan of Bionicle, we get it, so you can stop ridiculing those who aren't now.
  7. Yes, I agree that us Middle-Earth fans should be very grateful for the ME sets we did get, but at the same time I find the disappointment about certain things understandable. Some of the decisions were just questionable. The exclusive minifig that came with the BOTFA Blu-Ray (or DVD) should've been old Bilbo to fill up that gap, not a second version of an unimportant minor character. Should've been "The Hobbit", you know. They've released a bunch of Bilbos, but none of them are the old Bilbo from the LOTR trilogy. Shame we're missing that one. Gondorian soldiers were ditched for some reason, which I don't really understand either. They could've at least added one in the Black Gate set or maybe even the Corsair ship, just because... I'm not a purist and I'm planning to fill up all the character gaps myself through customization, but I can understand the disappointment of purists and the likes.
  8. LEGO Island was my first, I believe. And then Racers, Rock Raiders, Chess, Racers 2, and so on... The first Traveler's Tales LEGO game I played was LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, on the first Nintendo DS.
  9. Yes, and wave 2 of LOTR was released along with another castle theme in 2013, so there's that.
  10. A tribute I've made in honour of Christopher Lee, featuring him and four of his most famous movie characters, including Count Dooku, in LEGO form. R.I.P. Christopher Lee 1922 - 2015
  11. As I had been planning to do one day, I have created a LEGO tribute to Christopher Lee, featuring four of his famous characters and Sir Christopher himself:
  12. I find it hart to digest as well. I remember hoping for him to live to see the final Hobbit film & his final performance of Saruman in it, and I also remember being glad about that hope being fulfilled last year. Once more, R.I.P.
  13. Ratchet & Clank. There's a movie coming out next year, so maybe. And LEGO has worked with Sony before, if I recall correctly, so the chances aren't 0%, although it doesn't seem all too likely right now.
  14. Maybe kick The LEGO Movie's main characters out (for a while) and bring in a LEGO Adventurers Movie starring Johnny Thunder. I think that could turn out to be really cool and a nice nod to the devoted fans & AFOLs. Maybe have some of the newer adventurers play small roles as well.
  15. Christopher Lee, the iconic actor who was famous to many generations, has passed away at the age of 93. It has been announced today that Sir Christopher was being treated for respiratory problems, and that he has, sadly, died on June the 7th. He will be sorely missed and is forever to be remembered by many, including history itself, in which his name and his many images, influence and roles will be immortal to mankind. Rest In Peace, Sir Christopher Lee.
  16. There's no way on Malachor it will be $100+. At least, I think so. Looks like a $50 set to me, maybe $70-80 at most, but not over a hundred.
  17. The Lord of the Rings, at often times, but I would also say the original Star Wars trilogy, namely TESB, at most times now.
  18. Since citadel paint seems to be a favourite of many people within the LEGO customizing community, does anybody know if there's a chart somewhere to see which specific citadel colour comes closest to the corresponding LEGO colour, or which ones you could mix in order to get the desired colour out of it?
  19. Are you sure you're not going to regret this even more when you come back from your trip in ((x) amount of) months? Well, either way, what would you ask for either Orthanc alone or all of your LOTR sets, or even some?
  20. Bump again. Still looking for everything listed. Now willing to trade a few more of my spartans as well as one hazmat guy, for good offers. Anything else you'll have to ask about, but I also have a good amount of 2007 fantasy era castle figures.
  21. Agreed, it rather shows the opposite of hope for this theme. Such a shame, as has been said a great many times, but let's just hope that the gaps left behind by missing minifigures, in cases of new moulds, shall swiftly be covered by one or more third party vendors... BrickWarriors, for example.
  22. Bump, since I'm still looking for suggestions. And hopefully somebody around here knows that video, yes - it sounds useful.
  23. This theme needs to be fantasy. Regular castle will be boring to many fantasy folks since it rarely offers anything new. If it ends up being fantasy, we can all count on one human faction, which is good for the non-fantasy people as well. There are plenty of existing factions for them to use already. Add elves, goblins and orcs to the mix and the fantasy fans will be happy, too, to get some new fantasy stuff after the gap that was left behind by the LOTR theme. That would also be a chance to maybe get some versatility in orc & goblin designs, since they kinda neglected that with the LOTR theme, especially with Mordor orcs, as well as perhaps some dwarf and elf warriors and anything else that they can come up with.
  24. Those are really good! Nice work.
  25. Posable short legs and shorter dresses - other than that, change nothing.
