LEGO Ambassador Project: Design a NEW Pirate Sub-Theme
ManInATopHat replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
This is a great idea! I can help out with writing backstories/set descriptions, and I may be able to help with smaller set set design. This has a good chance of succeeding, or at least swaying Lego to see that Pirates is awesome. -
Thanks! My minifigure arsenal can always use some more miniguns.
-
Bright red terrain, damn, that's different! Also, that's a pretty nice minigun. Great work all around!
-
Wow, cool lighting effect! Nicely done!
-
Nice, the entire thing is stunning!

Great looking MOC!
-
Certainly interesting. Very nice MOC!
-
Nice looking ship, she's a good size too. Any interiors?
-
Really cool mortars, but I think your soldiers are too nice for me to focus on the actual cannons. Great work!
-
Really nice modulars! I really think you could take these to the next level with interiors. Brick on!
-
Wow! You've really captured some serious detail here. I love everything about this. Great work!

MOC: "The Batwing" - A Lego Movie MOC

Amazing project! This might be a long shot, but perhaps going to your local Lego store and asking someone for some more information might turn over some stones. Good luck with this awesome build!- 144 replies

Awesome! -
I agree, option two sounds best. Great minifigs and models, good value. Unless you really have your heart set on the Hulk lab... Just go with whatever your gut tells you!

I think the main reason we've never seen a more "realistic" keep style castle is basically because of the playability factor. Let's face it, younger kids want a castle with lots of features and easy access. They want a castle that looks cool, with lots of fun features. I definitely agree that tower castles are nicer, but they subtract from the playability. I kind of am surprised that Lego hasn't found a way to throw a curveball and change it up a bit, but alas, perhaps we can expect a special castle keep or a Cuusoo project in the future.

Had a fantastic surprise in the mail today! Made my day. Thanks a lot CopMike! All the effort and generosity that you put into this is amazing. Thanks a million! PS, do you spell it "Kanada" in Sweden?

Awesome to hear all the hard work finding those extra minifigs paid off Mike!

Real-life find of amazing Lego Pirates display in Ecuador
ManInATopHat replied to Duck's topic in LEGO Pirates
That's awesome! Who knew that such stellar work would come up in such an unexpected place? The moving parts are too cool. The massive figs, massive ship, and the rather plump parrot pirate are all super cool. -
This has come a long way since it's conception, and it's absolutely awesome. Great work! Just a quick fact, I may be related to the famous Dutch admiral Witte Corneliszoon de With, so this ship is kind of special to me.
