That's some excellent part usage right there! I like the use of these classical/vintage parts, the cannon wells work quite well.

Thanks. After all it was designed to be a set, since that was the objective of the contest. Another castle-themed boat did make the cut though. Sea Serpent. LEGO© typically does their own thing with these designs so I'm curious to what that one will turn into.

Thanks, I've been designing many more of such small boats.

I can't say I'm very happy with how the balrog looks. But I've got to say, the booknook concept is pretty brilliant. The use of colour to show where the fire is bright is pretty cool too, I saw that before on a balrog MOC a couple of years ago though. I'll probably end up buying ot, perhaps I can use some of it to enhance my own balrog, which is a bit rough around the edges . https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/forums/topic/194398-moc-lotr-the-balrog-of-moria/

I originally built this for an Ideas contest. Find free building instructions at ReBrickable! A modern version of the original set 6049 Viking Voyager A comparison with the original Viking Voyager set I hope you like it.

Thanks, those were the first parts I designed.

Lovely models, I particularly like the colours on the tractor.

I tried my hand at Volvo's construction truck, the FMX. This time I went for a smaller scale, 1:45 which should be around minifigure scale. The model features articulated suspension, allowing for some excellent posing and the bucket can be raised. For the rest it is really a display model. Note the detailed exhaust aftertreatment system closely resembling the real thing. I'm considering building some other Volvo models in this scale though I anticipate an FH to be quite the challenge. I've uploaded building instructions at ReBrickable.

Nice going! I've been wanting to do some more Aquazone since forever. I particularly like your rockwork, splendid job! My last Aquazone MOC was some time ago. Although I did do some other underwater themed MOCs. Makes me want to upgrade my rockwork to your standard .

Absolutely love it! Excellent choice of parts. The wheels are custom I presume? -
Thank you. I suppose dark blueish gray is really the best colour for rails. Although I imagine they would look pretty nice in Pearl Dark Gray .

Brickshelf is shutting down. Let's try to save it.
Sebeus I replied to Trekkie99's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Also, I've been looking for alternatives for Brickshelf, to host images, and Bricksafe seemed like a good candidate. However it seems Bricksafe isn't accepting any new users . -

This is bad, what about all the old archived MOCs here at EB? I imagine a lof of those depend on Brickshelf for pictures... -
That small bridge to the tower is an excellent feature, adds a lot to the atmosphere of the model.

Thank you! It was time to get my tree building skill up to a next level, my previous trees were typically square pillars with a leaf on top of it . Indeed. I am looking forward to the sets LEGO will bring out this year.

I am typically not interested in "new and sealed" sets. Mostly because of the crazy prices they go for. If it's for opening and building (which I believe it should always be but that's just my opinion), I don't see why "used" isn't good enough. Nevertheless, I do agree that, when labeled "new" you must be able to expect a higher quality. On another note, someone once suggested to me that, these super expensive sealed sets are probably never opened anyway. He then proposed a scam where one would collect the boxes of such sets and fill them with fake brand bricks and some paper, then seal them and sell them at the market price . Ever since I heard that Idea I'm much more suspicious when it comes to sealed sets .

I have some WIP pictures I had forgotten. The first one are side wind deflectors towards the air intake. A black pane with katana's looked pretty cool but in the end I thought the car looked a bit cluttered and decided to go for a more simple, clean look. The second one is one of the many tail lamp permutations, using lightsaber bars. I was very difficult to find a tail lamp design befitting the overall style of the car. I'm not entirely satisfied with the final design either. More specifically the bridge over the exhaust tips don't connect nicely to the tail lamps, I considered different colours and wedge pieces to get around it but nothing really improved it. I'm thinking round lights may not be very suited for this car. However, rectangular lights easily lose their elegance. I am currently trying to optimize the design. Some parts of it, particularly in the front body area, are increasingly complex to build.
