[ENTRY] [LARGE] Caught by the Armada Coast Guard
Sebeus I replied to Quotenotto's topic in Pirate MOCs
Lovely hull, much better than the set! -
Haha, I try not concern myself with that scenario until it befalls upon us . Those who engage in piracy together should be able to share the loot I imagine This is turning into an interesting discussion . In my mind we didn't want to clutter the already crowded bow with more clutter, aka; swivel guns. Although I agree that, from a practical point of view, it would make sense to have at least some form of armament to challenge foes from the front. I intend to do some modifications on this vessel for sure, I have not identified all of them yet, I usually need a couple of days/weeks to decide on what I want and how I want to do it. But I'll be sure to add more members to the crew .

Thank you, In the age of sail, schooners like this typically didn't have steering wheels, those were reserved for large battle ships which required pulley-assisted systems for the greater force it took to turn the rudder . Nevertheless, these are often wrongly depicted in movies and fanart so I understand the appeal.

Thank you, reminds me that I could add some more information on the ships arnament and features 😅.

Steve has had enough of pirates, he now sails the fastest vessel around in the hopes of never having to deal with pirates anymore... The Revenant was collaboratively built by me and @Legostone in a very short timeframe. Let me know if you like her. Steve himself! Still the nicest pirate-themed torso ever to be if you ask me. The hull is constructed in similar fashion to my earlier sloop, The Raven, sitting low to embrace the agile profile of a fast-looking vessel. This however limited the possibilities to include inward tumblehome. Neverthess, its absence is acceptable on a vessel that sits this low. She's equiped with four 6-pounders although they have little use sailing at half wind due to being positioned so close to the waterline. Four swivelguns, mounted on the railing at the quarter deck, proove to be more effective on a ship like this. Cargo space is limited since she is built for speed. No pirate will ever catch up to her however.

I have uploaded a Studio file on ReBrickable: Link This file only includes the living quarters interior bit, which I concluded is the most requested here. The most important thing I learned though is to never make any more promises regarding building instructions/digital files. Also, ignore the part inventory, it's not very relevant. Anyway, have fun and let me know how you like the mod.

Nicely done, reminds me a bit of the digital model from the PotC games but bigger. Makes me want to revisit my own redention of the famous ghostship.

That might have been one of these old ships I posted on Mocpages back in 2009. It's lovely to see the dragon arch back on a ship after so many years, nicely done!

Food truck! I made this little food truck a few years ago actually, to complement my modular buildings since, back then, there weren't a lot of cars and trucks to go with them. Building instructions available at ReBrickable. I hope you like it!

Steve looks way too happy to be in jail. Is that guard drinking on the job? . This one pictures invites the viewer to want to see more but I suppose it is only this perspective?
-
That is a lovely replacement torso you found for Steve, what set does it originate from? I don't like the azure plates for water but that's just a personal preference, the forbidden cove is easily recognisable.

Awesome! Always fun to dig up my collection of old Dark Gray 😅.

[MOC] UCS Jedi Defender Class Light Corvette
Sebeus I replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Lovely shapes and curves, makes me want to own one myself . -
Thank you, I can only support the building of more small prefab vessels!

I think Bricker Clicker should have asked me permission to use my image or at least mention my name for using it . On another note, I do appreciate how people here recognise my work when they see it . Well, I had some silly stuff going on during the Tournament of Retributiin. And then there was this comic I made to introduce one of my ships: I'd like to tell a more serious story, I figured comic-style is the way to go.
-
Lovely ship, you don't see a lot of four-masters around. Excellen colour scheme. The angled windows on the lower stern seem a bit off, not sure what it is. What are those white boxes on the sides?
-
It seems I have a tendency of spending 10 years to finish my vessels ... Better late than never though. The Raven is the delayed result of a building challenge where the objective was to build a good-looking boat using the old small prefab hull type. I had a previous attempt at this but I didn't quite like it. You'd think a small sloop would be rather easy, it really is a challenge in less-is-more, doing my best not to overdo it. A special thanks goes to @Legostone, for designing the small entrance hatch to the cabin. The Raven next to the Spectre: I hope you like it! I'm considering starting up a comic series again, it would take a lot of preparation though.

I made some last-minute changes on the stern before putting it on display at the local library. I swapped the windows by pearl gold lattice ones, complementing the ornaments. I gave each of the idols a trident as well and removed the skull I had on it earlier. I decided I didn't quite like the white on there. I have been considering to re-rig the ship

Modifying MOCS
Sebeus I replied to Paul B Technic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I credit the original builder by mentioning them with a link to the original work. Although actually, if the modifications are really small, I don't share that creation online at all. -

This is a very impressive model, I really like that function selector for the pneumatic valves.
