  1. And after looking on that small pictures with functions, it seems that B Model of 42080 will be a forwarder.
  2. I have not noticed it earlier, but it seems that chassis could be at least one stud higher from the ground. Now it could run only on flat surfaces. But it looks nice :) Also, check your private messages.
  3. I don't want to be harsh, but most of your models can't be improved in easy way, because it would require rebuilding most parts of them. Your models lack of basic Technic building techniques and rules, like using reductions in geartrains, reinforcing movable segments etc. Basically, you are making static models with Technic feel, with incorrectly made internals.
  4. MIL-SPEC ZXL 1.9", with 106mm diameter. Almost exact match for Xerion wheels, but with more "underground" look (agrar tires look bad on that model, I tried). There's a movable wall inside, pushed by two cylinders. It can be seen in action here:
  5. Uhm, I'm not sure if that steering will work...
  6. I have downloaded some of your MOCs and made some inspection on them. They have one thing in common - they will not work. Fore example; Tatra Phoenix has suspension that will snap and disconnect while driving even on flat surface. Your trailers have same suspension, which is not connected from bottom, and it will cause massive axle wobbling while driving (I am almost sure that they will not be ableeven to drive, but it depends on how strong is connection between those 3L universal joints). You don't reinforce gears, some of them will just pop off, some will skip. All those issues could be easily avoided, but it requires building with physical bricks, not only with didgital. You have great ideas for models, but they can't be build. Also, use parts with proper colours, I have seen that people on Rebrickable complain about your models being non buildable due to colour issues.
  7. Eh.. ok, listen: It is really nice looking model. But you have posted it on Technic forum, where functions are more interesting than looks. And... your chassis will break down in the first turn on some obstacle. These blue and green connectors are held in place with axle, and they will slip from them, becuase they are not secured from doing so. I really like that you are creating your own models, but without physical testing, they will only frustrate anyone who will try to build them.
  8. Yeah, it was quick sketch :) Well... it still is just a frame with wheels, but it will taken apart and rebuilt from scratch with new pneumatic valves from 42080. WIP photos are here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/M_longer/lkp-0903
  9. I have made a quick sketch of panel based bucket. It is big, bulky, and awfull :) It does not resemble original bucket, but shows my idea. It could work, but with better built shape. On other hand, bucket used in my loader is brick built with technic bits: And it almost perfectly fits in dimensions of real bucket:
  10. Yes, they don't. In underground mines solid rock is treatened with explosives, so V shape structure with teeth is not needed, because it uses smaller forces to penetrate the crushed rocks. 70595 maybe? :P I'd go for panel built bucket. But it will be much heavier than Volvo bucket. Or 3D printed one...
  11. I have just discovered this topic. Well done! (so far). Only thing that bothers me is usage of Volvo bucket, which does not look like buckets from underground loaders (they do not have teeth): I am struggling with my own underground loader for few months now, so I will keep fingers crossed for finishing your model :)
  12. Well... I'll give you small advice - never build Technic models only in virtual versions. These models always have to be build with real bricks, to avoid mistakes and to check if everything works properly. And as you can see, with your model it didn't work. Thanks :)
  13. One question - this model exists only as virtual file, you did not build it with real bricks?
  14. Well, this is a liftarm based build, it cant be acurate as Model Team build, but it still is a very good model :) I'd go for some axle locked design, having large bucket held only with two pins can be catastrophic when loading something heavy ;)
  15. You have forgot to add light on the back of the cab's roof ;) Lovely build, I especially like that you have managed to fit a standard battery box in there.
  16. And add side mirrors. Nice little model :)
  17. Nobody told you that you have wrongly placed U-Joints? Their middle part must be placed exactly in line with wheel turning point:
  18. Something in the middle, I think that it could be possible to change spacing to half stud.
  19. I have both of these sets. And both are worth buying and buidling. 42054 for its steering modes and motorized functions. 42069 for really, really great door mechanism and one of the best suspensions in Technic sets.
  20. Flatbed trailer built from parts used in container trailer:
  21. More than half? I am not sure, flatbed uses 481 parts, these are leftotvers:
  22. Yes. Only with parts from trailer, the truck remains untouched.
  23. Mack bought, built and.. boring? How about making a new trailer for it? Let's say that I was bored and decided to rebuild 42078 into something different. But after disassembling the trailer, I thought that it could be rebuild into different trailer. The trailer has only one function, landing gear. Operated by levers on either side of the trailer: Being built from limited amount of parts, it has one flaw - can be driven only on flat surfaces, due to minimum spacing between its frame and truck's rear: You have been warned :P And if some would like to build it, here are free instructions: https://bricksafe.com/files/M_longer/42078-alt/flatbed/42078-Flatbed.pdf (Mack model made by Philo) Sample pages: After approval by Rebrickable, it will be available with parts list here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-12680/M_longer/42078-flatbed-trailer/
  24. I have finished my review of 42078 set. Lots of pictures, few comparisions with real counterparts, but only in Polish :) http://www.lugpol.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30549
