  1. Great modular build! The McDonald's looks just like the real thing :)
  2. Shame, they could've tried the axe first ;) Great MOC!
  3. Looks great - very typically British looking! :)
  4. Thanks for posting, Mark - great layout!
  5. Nice concept! Resting against the table edge should really help, especially on smaller spans. Was thinking of using something similar for next year's displays, as moving a display from venue to venue usually means dealing with unknown/variable table heights. Was trying to think of a way of using the minifigure baseplates as "cladding" for my bridge, but haven't got beyond a few sketches yet. Will post any progress.
  6. Nice work, Tony - that blue looks stunning!
  7. Thanks for the write-up, handy to know. Going to have t get my own SBricks now ;)
  8. Excellent re: Brick - see you there! Working on Fairy Bricks stall on Friday and will have a wonder around on the Saturday. Are you planning more scenery etc, or is the project done now the station is complete?
  9. Looks great, Jamie. Really impressive in size and execution. Is it going to Brick in London too?
  10. Really nice build - so many little details and good techniques.
  11. Truly breathtaking build. Any videos of the finished loco in action? Brick on!
  12. Incredible. You've managed a great deal of detail at that scale!
  13. Brilliant build! And a great subject, too.
  14. Nicely captured the design there - the nose looks great! And that windshield piece is perfect. " " ;)
  15. Very slick - and the use of the PF lead in the design of the lamppost really works well!
  16. I used to have quiet a few. They are more realistic but I enjoy LEGO more, but there's still a lot LEGO railway modellers could learn from traditional modellers - more natural landscapes and track layouts, for instance.
  17. Agree with this, I started and gave in for now, would rather build something more exciting!
  18. Nice, works well at that scale!
  19. Welcome back to LEGO! Nice city, looking forward to following its updates.
  20. As an aside, nice ballast technique for corners. I use the Brickish technique (see this PDF of Brick Issue magazine, issue 10) but it seems fairly weak for transporting, whereas yours looks sturdier; wonder if their corner ballasting technique uses fewer pieces than the above?
  21. Yep, this covers it ;) Had some traditional model trains as a kid, and had a few LEGO trains too. Just carried on from there. Really like that I can take stuff apart and rebuild if I get bored (not that I do!), and I can fairly easily change my track layout/scenery if I want to.
  22. Brilliant rock work - looks very natural.
  23. No problem. Don't forget to post whatever you build for us to look at :) Really does - great tool. The budget/inventory tool is particularly neat.
  24. The ship is really well done - some great part usage. And the lighthouse looks fantastic too - the slight discolourations of the red panels (or perhaps it's just the light?) really help add texture.
