  1. Excellent landscaping! My favorite parts are the tower walls and the plate built tree next to it. Nice job on the story too.
  2. Great work! The sacred oaks clan and evergreen elves are my favorite.
  3. Great all around, especially the color and texture variations. I need to start of my Ch 1 build(s) as well.
  4. Wow. Everything looks amazing! The tower slope is my favorite part and great use of the small space beside the tower.
  5. I agree with soccerkid, expert roof technique! The angled plates really add a nice touch to the ground. Simply amazing.
  6. Yeah, I think it has something to due with the browser/type of system you're viewing not on. I can't see them either and I know from experience that the images have to be posted on your flickr if that is how you upload them on to GoH. Anyway, I can't wait to see it.
  7. Thanks, guys! I also found a picture that is worthy of depicting Nest of the Leaves and posted it as an edit.
  8. Interesting new challenge, though I'm not sure that I'll be able to enter due to the time crunch. I was thinking of presenting my entourage for task 2 in a MOC and could I use the same MOC for this challenge?
  9. The tree and chimney updates work well with the newer look.
  10. Love the use of the pink flowers and the door.
  11. Wonderful use of the ring. The green pieces work well too.
  12. @ rogueang Thanks for your comments, I kinda had it laid out already in a word doc that I've been working on since starting on GoH. Also, thank for letting me know about the links (One of the possibilities when doing some much coping and pasting from the word doc). I might share that word doc here on GoH, but the file size is 193kb, exceeding the 100kb limit on attachments. Can't wait to see your entry for task 3, Niku!
  13. I agree with Yeti on several points, namely the use of dark grey to break up the light grey. In the past, when I was confronted with the problem, I always used leaves to cover it up. The landscaping could still use some work, although the little slopes and tiles help. Maybe adding angled plates or using layers of plates to create depressions and small hills. Also, adding leaves to the ground will help (though I always find this a piece number problem for me). As Yeti said, the structure could benefit form more angled pieces and the tree would look better if it wasn't so symmetrical. I have posted on different tree designs before, here is the link if you wanna check it out. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87904 Just scroll down until you see the tree pictures.
  14. Nice use of a new window technique and the roof tiles are interesting.
  15. I've been spending time working on builds, not so much on GoH. I haven't put out a MOC in a while, so I'm trying to get one done and done well.
  16. Scales on the dragon look great, as do the eyes. Nice job of sand and trees.
  17. I have posted my entry for the third task. It is somewhat lengthy and contains a lot of names. Here is the link Vanhorn, Avalonia (Third Task) I'm working on the second task and hope to post it in the coming weeks.
  18. Vanguard, the capital city of Vanhorn, sits on a rocky hill surrounded by Lake Talon. The River of Rhondurion feeds the lake and is the path that shipping vessels use to get to Vanguard from the open ocean. The docks are able to accommodate up to five different ships due to the importance of import and export in Vanguard’s economy. I have spent a great deal of time making up names for the inhabitants of Vanguard and they are outlined below this picture similar to what Vanguard looks like. - Ø Seven Councilmen Lord Eremir Lanthorn (Myself)(Elf)(Link) Lord Laslan Rodun (Link) Lord Denegorn Zulton (Link) Lady Taunandril Nithor (Female)(Link) Lord Genthor Rubicon (Link) Lord Kane Iroan (Link) Lord Beneil Tinor (Link). Ø Nobles Lady Reagan Lanthorn (Female)(Elf)(Sister of Eremir)(Link) Princess Seraphine Zulton, (Daughter of Denegorn) Princess Venowyn Nithor, (Daughter of Taunandril) Prince Fether Rodun, (Son of Laslan)(For Black Spire) Ø Soldiers of Vanguard Lynx Oden (Gate Watchman) Artemis Redd (Female)(Archer of the Infantry) Crux Tranus (Gate Watchman) Ezra Raine (Cousin of Eremir)(Tower Guard) Barthos Malone (Tower Guard) Colin Vorne (Swordsman of the Infantry) Tiberius Denmire (Knight) Ø Royal Soldiers of Vanhorn (Totaling 400) Archers - 150x Spearmen - 60x Swordsmen - 100x Knights - 30x Watchmen - 25x Calvary - 35x Ø Villagers of Vanguard Lenfel Sesilion - Chief of Agriculture Heandil Sesilion, Son of Lenfel - Bugler of Vanguard Wolfar Conclan- Vendor Eli Rune- Horse Trainer/Farrier Calowyn Midlar (Female) - Mill Manager Luka Torgon - Milker, Gela Shiloh (Female) - Brewer/Bar Owner Dale Conclan - Carpenter (Brother of Wolfar) Ø Significant Others Atlas the Strong - Standing at a staggering seven feet three inches tall, Atlas is employed as the blacksmith for Vanguard. He has always been crafty with his hands and built his house on a lone hill just outside the city walls. It doubles as his workshop and messengers come to deliver new orders from the Council or civilian orders. - Atlas spends his weekends hunting or at Gela’s bar playing cards with his friends. Atlas has had relations with Gela in the past, but both were and are still unwilling to fully commit to each other. They remain good friends and acknowledge that there is something more between them. Just off the outer shores of Lake Talon, a great forest begins and stretches out over the entire county. This forest hosts many different types of trees. In the very heart of the forest, the trees grow as much as sixty feet around and two hundred fifty feet tall. It is in these trees that the Woodland Guard dwells. In Vanhorn, there is an elite force of soldiers that watch over the forest. They are known as the Woodland Guard and are led by General Jeffery Alder. The son of a farmer, Jeffery spent his childhood in the woods. He consulted his elven friends when putting together the Guard and they agreed to teach the knowledge of the forest to all of the recruits. (Link) Headquarters for the Woodland Guard is named Nest of the Leaves. It is located in one of the enormous trees some one hundred feet above the forest floor. The only entrance is through an opening in the trunk of the main tree. Spiral staircases run inside the tree to gain access to the main and upper levels. Here are the names of some of the soldiers. Ø Captains Felix Jang (Captain of the 37th squadron)(Link) Lucifer Sulion (Captain of the 43rd squadron) Ø Soldiers of the Woodland Guard Epsilon “The Hammer” Kelas, Juno Elms (Female), Cal Woodlawn, and Jesse Asp - (37th Squadron) (Link) Orion Helio, Vince Qudan, Luna Meridun (Female), and Leo Foss - (43rd Squadron) Around thirty miles West of Nest of the Leaves, there are ruins of an old city of elves once called Ferodin. There is a tomb of the Elven King, Anthore and the inscription on his grave tells the legacy of Ferodin, but it doesn’t speak of why the city was abandoned. There are fallen statues and crumbling buildings among the ruins. Thank you for taking the time to read the information I have put together on my county. I look forward to hearing about my fellow Avalonians’ counties.
  19. These tasks sound like fun, I'll get started.
  20. Considering where you going with the story, the Shadow Elves get my vote. I'm always loving forest colors, but the Shadow seem a bit more interesting here.
  21. Good job and its a nice approach to a simple gate.
  22. Simply amazing, the snow and the tilting effects look great! I am also a fan of the crest you made.
  23. I had to reuse torsos to make each batch of guys.
  24. It looks great, with the nice rocks and snow. The interesting techniques also add variety to it.
  25. Nice water technique and use of exo force heads.
