  1. All this talk of beards and their negative impact makes me glad that us elves maintain a clean shaven policy. We shave in a show of respect towards our kin, but do not take bearded men to be disrespectful. As for fake beards, they are a disgrace to not only the wearer, but others in their presence. Not to mention the smell….
  2. Ohhhh, that palm tree design really catches my eye! The rest of it is very well done too.
  3. Very nice way to make an entrance! That house is quite good.
  4. Good backstory, and the bit about the pie is great!
  5. Nice figgies. I really like the Mitgardian ones and now I'm thinking about making some of my own.
  6. Great story and the build is lovely!
  7. Absolutely stunning rock work! That fallen bridge is amazing too!
  8. The stag is nice, but it looks a little blocky to me. The rocks are amazing, great build!
  9. That hat is amazing. The tree is quite nice as well, good job.
  10. Very Mitgardian feel! Great story too!
  11. Interesting idea with parts from only four sets. It turned out well, very nice.
  12. The red roof looks great! The attention to detail is mind-blowing, just amazing work! I particularly like the decoration of 1x2 and 1x3 tiles on the door.
  13. There was just another person deciding which guild to join as well where many chimed in on how to choose a guild. Heres the link to that topic. Link Apart from what the first page said, we all in GoH go about making freebuilds that depict an event that we wanted to show that fits in with the GoH storyline/lifestyle. There are also community builds, guild-specific builds and Challenge builds that have a number of limits and a prompt for the builds. To answer how this all works, the only suggestion I have is experience. You just need to jump in by deciding upon a guild, making your sigfig, and start with some free builds that make up a backstory for your sigfig. Right now, we Avalonians are voting for the Challenge II story builders. If you look through some recent posts throughout the guilds, you'll find that GoH isn't strictly business--we socialize as any other forum would. I hope you find a fit somewhere in GoH.
  14. Wow, these just keep getting better and better. Stunning work, Gideon!
  15. The boat is quite nice and I really like those shutters.
  16. @ Wedge, just remembered this from before and thought I could save rogue the time.
  17. As you can see, we all have our opinions about the advantages of our own guilds. But, from an economical standpoint, types of bricks do give a good compass to follow. I suggest that you go with the guild that has the landscape you want to build in most. You should look at the Historica map on the wiki page here along with the guild maps on each homepage, if you haven't already, to get a feel for how diverse the landscapes of each guild are. Its not like the only forests are in Avalonia, or the only mountains are in Mitgardia. This also aids in furthering the landscape techniques you may wish to develop. Hope this helps.
  18. Great builds! The turbans and the shield on the smaller build are awesome. You also display a very pleasing combination of sand colors. (guess that comes in handy )
  19. Me too and I would also like to see how the ship building works out!
  20. Interesting name for them! I love unknown facts like that especially with medieval/defense objects. Thanks to Carson and DG for your votes!
  21. Amazing idea! Greatly executed as well! Very awesome build, man.
  22. Thanks, really wanted to go for the view from a treetop.
  23. Very nice with the different colors and textures.
  24. Really great, I always love the elvish look of white buildings! So many little things that make it interesting.
  25. Very professional, Gideon! I really like the two together!
