Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
HammerBro replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Im also anticipating it, but September and October have turned out to be my two busiest months of the year. So it kinda worked out that the challenge hasn't been posted yet. -
Nice job with the wall and the landscape. The figs go well with the setting too.

Morholt Keep - Dark Isle Saga Chapter 2, Part 1

Astounding work, DC! Another great story and the use of the olive green, dark red, and burnt orange really jump out at you. Your castle wall technique keeps getting better and better! -
Nice swamp effect and adding a little dark green might help with the foliage.

Wonderful build, DC. The foliage colored in the newer leaf colors works amazingly! I alos use a mac with safari, but in my experience with PCs(like my school computer), chrome works out better. The word processor we were given is libre office, the target of my loathing. But, I make it work. I'll be posting pics of some new figs I've put together as soon as I get the bios worked out. -
Wonderful backstory and great fig part combos! The build is quite nice as well.

Great job! I especially like the roof of the house with the mix of studs and tiles along with the olive green leaves.
-
Nice shooting wall and the dummies look great!
-
Well done I like the stonework and the woodwork, they add a nice fatigued effect. The corners of the walls are also good.
-
Nice job with the use of foliage and technique for water. Another great build, kabel!
-
Good job! There is a nice contrast with the reddish brown, green, and dark bley. The slight change in elevation adds to the landscape as well as the vegetation.

The army looks good, mpoh98. Nice diversity with the troops and different use of torsos. It's sad to see you go Brickington, but I hope you find your new job exciting. Best of luck to you! -

Can't wait to see your interior, CBB. Same goes for mpoh98 with your army. -
Nice work with the tree and the target looks good too.
-
Looking good. Nice job using up the small base and still packing in the detail.

Great snow techniques, it gives a post-snowstorm feeling where everything is blanketed in the stuff. The footprints are good, and nice combos with the fig!
-
You've got a wonderful scene here, LD! Nice work with the machines and the few bits of pink and purple add to the feeling. The mushrooms look good as well.

I'm looking forward to see how this turns out. The dried wood can pose quite a challenge, but I'm sure you will make it look good. -
It looks great, although I'm wondering where you got the torso for Valanice. Its a good use of purple and would probably work well with other figs.

Looking good, DC. -
I absolutely love the outcome of your experimentation! I think I might steal this for future builds. Good work with the ice/snow effects.

At last the secret is revealed! I agree with pinioncorp that these trees are rather dense they really capture the evergreen feeling. The few brown branches are a nice touch.

Welcome to GoH, DustyBricks! I'm sure you will make a fine addition to Avalonia and I want to see more from your already advanced building style. -
Great story, man. The scroll room is my favorite part of it.

I like the technique for water and you nailed the cliff landscape!
