  1. Is this the weakest January wave? That AT-ST is laughable. Every year I’ve spent a fortune on lego, now I find myself scratching around for something that seems worth the money.
  2. Wow, the episode 8 sets are really accurate to the ‘real life’ sets! Lego must have learnt from their Episode 7 experience. ...with one major exception. One set wasn’t even in the film!
  3. That Clock King, gotta have!
  4. It really is a superb set and almost everything from TLNM has been an 8/10 or better. It’s so hard to pick a favourite, I think we’ve been really fortunate - in terms of the sets, TLNM might be the strongest ever.
  5. Its good...but feels like barrel scrapping. One new mold? Some of these figures aren’t as detailed as the onscreen versions either.
  6. Yey, got my black VIP card, I wonder what promotions will follow.
  7. But that’s simply not the case, you can’t exclude the legs and arms and still claim ‘accuracy’. A lot of these figures are half finished - if ‘accuracy’ was intended at all.
  8. Those figures are astonishingly bland, I just don’t get it - lego knows figures sell sets, so why would they be so lazy. It’s not as if the builds will save these sets...
  9. UK Asda had this 60% off, for some reason, I grabbed one. If the main issue is price, I’d say that was fixed.
  10. Plain legs? Lazy! No interest in these sets.
  11. Just built it - it’s huge! Strange how sometimes photos just don’t convey that.
  12. It’s an odd choice for a 3,400 brick set but i’ll take it! I’d say this set speaks to lego’s confidence, we’d never have got such a set even 2 or 3 years ago.
  13. Shame the Robin in the shuttle set seems to be the same from the CMF series, can’t remrmber the last time a CMF figure appeared in a normal set.
  14. Something a bit average about these sets. Is it the minifigs? Dunno, but these all seem a bit underwhelming.
  15. Found the awesome Quake mech is U.K. Asda, amazing set, and at £69.99, another great price.
  16. sigh...this final wave of TLBM has seen some ‘downgrades’. The first few waves had minifigs that matched the on screen versions but here we’ve lost a lot of the printing (green arrows arms, crazy quilts pretty much everywhere else). Real shame, I think the CMF wave will be the same (Zod’s missing arm printing for instance) Atleast the leg printing and dual molded legs is still there, Marvel figs don’t even get that...
  17. Highlights that the Lego version isn’t all that inaccurate after all...
  18. Toys R Us UK also has the volcano base in stores but not online (£49.99). No sign of the Quake mech (£69.99)...
  19. That bomber is a great set! Love the colours and new parts!
  20. The Ninjago Movie walking shark mech thing (70656) is out in U.K. Toys R Us (only one of the final wave that is available) £79.99. Destiny’s Bounty (1,400 more bricks) is £89.99. I thought the Ice Tank (£79.99) was overpriced but this shark mech thing is agonisingly overpriced, relative to the wave at large.
  21. I would be delighted if we got a new super star destroyer UCS...but don’t release the mediocre last one. Redesign it and get it right this time.
  22. I want SWAT Batman, one of the few suit designs that the film actually called out.
  23. I’m in two minds about nexo knights. I’d say well over 2/3rds of the sets have been ‘above average’ and quite a few (Knighton Castle, Fortrex etc.) have been inspired. However, a lot of sets take some getting used to - I thought the Fortrex looked awful until I had it in front of me and could appreciate it. Probably a theme that was always going to struggle. I hope this final wave goes out with some dignity, haven’t seen enough good quality pictures to form a view yet.
  24. Toys R Us in the U.K. have cleared their shelves of nexo knights stuff - some of those sets are barely 3 months old. Surprised we’re getting another wave.
  25. Dual mold those Mace Windu legs! Does the lego machine refuse to deal with Star Wars figures? Has the machine developed an evil sentience? Is the licence with Disney so bizarre it bans it?!
