If you are using the new knights, it might be nice to incorporate for example the Dragon Mountain (or what's its name) set into the build... With some improvements of course, it is rather lacking... : P (depending on if you want it "Lego-styled" or more detailed). It sounds like a cool idea though, the evil guys never get a big castle :(

Extremely nice details :D The clouds are cute and look realistic :3

Lego Council Of Elrond/Rivendell [MOC]
Sigolf Brimabane replied to -DoNe-'s topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Snyggt! :) Bra gjort! It is nice how you managed to incorporate the set (with the mods) into this. The chair section is beautiful, and the SNOT rocks look good too :)- 14 replies

Aw... Why have I not the other Winter Village sets?! :( Imagine how nice it would be to pick them out once a year to build them around Yule Tide. It would be a great tradition. Unfortunately I have spent too much money to afford all of the Winter Village sets... Especially since the price of the older ones are so high now. And I also want to buy Orthanc some time... :/ But the sets look great. Cozy as H*** :) And lots of white plates :D Would love to have some more of those

I am generally not too fond of the dwarrows, but this I love :D The road is beautiful Does the fell (mountain) have an open backside? The scene reminds me of some of the great songs of the Austrian LotR-themed atmospheric black metal band Summoning...

I made a Bricklink order... And am about to make a couple more... It is very difficult on there, to find pages with enough good parts. I want to build a dragon, because I've had the wings from a ship in the Knights Kingdom II line for years, and had no dragon head and some other parts. So I finally want to build a dragon :) I ordered amongst many other parts: Dragon head Claws Viking shields (the big ones)

Great :D Can't wait to see more of this! I like the colours, and the roofs are neat : ) Jealous of all your shields x)

[MOC] Clash at the Castle of Winterlake Moor
Sigolf Brimabane replied to Sigolf Brimabane's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thank you, everyone, for the kind comments! :) Coming to Eurobricks is one of the best things ever, because you get to see so many great and inspiring builds. Haha, I had given that some thought, haha, sparks could hop onto the roof :( But... Let's say they have a fireproof roof :D Btw, the blacksmith is called Wayland (or Vǫlundr)! :) And his companion is Reginn. Edit: Just noticed that we missed Reginn when we took the photos... But he is there, chopping wood to the right of the forge x) -
Mitgardia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion

A new freebuild by me and my brother Erikur: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=84147 (I don't know how to make a picture that is a link, so...) -
I love the way the houses stick out from the wall! :) Really nice overall look.

This is a freebuild by me and my brother Erikur! "Red it riseth, after raging battle, the Sun up high in heaven's dome, the eye of the One-Eyed earl of gods, whose sheen shineth, the shield blazing, on Middangeard, home of men. The hosts of the Hand, most hateful evil, the lands in shade and shadow cloaked, freedom's unfriend with fingers groping. The Wyrm-clan wended war to wage against the gruesome ghoulish fiends. To corrupted castle the clan of bravest housecarls and haleths headed was, with stratagem clever the warriors stoutly came into the castle and clashed with its guards. For the burg they battled, their brands like flashes of lightning lashed, lives they ended. Arngrim the foe of fiends undead and Sigolf the Bane of BrÃmi the dragon brothers in battle the blood avenged of Sigmund their father, of kings most famed. They thwarted the thegns, with thorns of steel, they killed the corrupted crusaders of terror, the necromancer of nameless horror and his vassals the vanguards of doom." Thus sang of their deeds in years untold the skalds in all Mitgardia, and their heroic legacy was never forgotten.

Oh, yeah. I ended up doing like Wedge09 anyway ^^ It would have been really cool though... :) I made a "quick" MOC, that I might put in the historic themes forum.

Really cool! The Wolfpack <3 Funny that you used the crane from the Goblin King Battle, I loved it and used that one too in a build x) Also... It looks very playable :) -
Cool ruins! That window/slit thing technique is great! I will steal it, and maybe reverse the slopes. I'm testing this right now :)

Thanks :) Yeah, I can see what you mean. Will try to find a more suiting chimney design.

Hey guys! I am building a forge, and would like some feedback on my oven: What do you think about it? There's a light brick in there, as you can see. :)
-
Thanks everybody! :) I appreciate the feedback :) SK6: Yes, it is for GoH :D Long time since we put something on there.
-
Thank you! :) Half of the soldiers belong to my older brother haha, but we share our Lego (except some figures, but parts we always share because we like to build together). I think the commanders work splendid as foot soldiers with gladius! Just remove the plumet from the helmet and take the cape off :) And maybe give them a shield (the highlander shield is the coolest, I think, for this particular guy) ^^

So, I built a small Roman house while thinking of other things to build (am working on a larger thing with my brother at the moment). :) I hope the pictures are the right size. I have not based it on any real Roman houses or anything, I just felt like "that's what I think a Roman house might look like". The house is pretty plain and simple, but I think it got a pretty nice, clean look. :) The troops are moving out to cross the river Rubibrick. There's not much going in on the outside (edit: INSIDE, haha, strange things happen when you're tired)... I needed some of the parts again so I took it down after a few days so I didn't bother to make much of an interior. Here's the Emperor Brickus Caesar writing his victory speech in advance. I hope you enjoyed this little build. Thanks for watching it :) PS. Sorry for the strange scenery around it, haha. It's a battle grid game mat and a sofa... typical Roman scenery.

Great :D I am thinking of trying to build a ship some day, but it will probably go to the pirates forum :) I would love to get my hands on the Viking ship some day though...
-
A tip to anyone trying to build a Dreki (what the Vikings called a dragon ship in singular) is to put the rudder/steering oar on the starboard side of the ship. It is not for naught that it is called "styrbord" (steer board), because on that side the steer oar sat :) Edit: Dreki also means dragon, and it comes from the Latin word "draco". :)
