  1. There is at least one Castle set coming out next year under the LEGO Movie line. It is 70806 Castle Cavalry.
  2. I still want polybags for the Hobbit. The Mirkwood Elf Guard sold briskly in my area. However only a Laketown Guardis needed. We got an elf last time and there are both elves and orcs in the army builder.
  3. Multiple Man from X-Factor. You could have as many of him as possible. I almost think we need a Fleshie series. This way you can populate a city of Superheros with common people. We rarely get even a bank guard for the superhero line and most people groan as it takes up a slot that could have gone for a named character.
  4. Even if the original poster was being truthful (which I strenuously doubt), we know that LEGO has their own CUUSOO process where many sets are design, evaluated, and changes are made. At this point I do not think that LEGO has any finalized sets or a set list for a Summer Lord of the Rings wave. Frankly it is too early and I will remain focused on the upcoming Hobbit wave instead.
  5. Thank you. I picked one up Robin's cycle today at lunch. There are a lot more Iron Men left but I already have that minifig. I might have waited but we may not get Robin next year (excepting the Junior's which might be a different print).
  6. As a MOCer, or an aspirational MOCer at least, I do find these sets lacking... but I don't mind. I enjoy the minifig / warg selection and plan to design my own builds anyway. LEGO has blown me away with Helm's Deep, Bagend, and the Orthanc. Those sets I won't scrap but the rest of them were built and in a week or three broken down and filed away. I look at these builds and like the selection of parts. The bland walls that others complain about are the basis of any castle / fortress you want to design. Tolkien fans don't have anything to complain about. It is the Superhero fans that keep getting vehicles that are without the means to really build something outstanding.
  7. It all depends on the contracts involved. I don't think it would prevent a Marvel CMF since Mega Blocks was able to do one when they had the construction toy license. But we know it prevents a Star Wars one. Besides I think LEGO will likely seek new licenses for CMF instead of a rehash of existing minifigs.
  8. I agree that certain existing licenses cannot do it as the Star Wars quote above proves, but The Simpsons is a new license where the contracts were probably designed for the possibility. So it really depends on what any new licensed CMF is for. While I would love a Lord of the Rings and it could be possible as there is not a competing action figure line that I am aware of, there is a competing line for The Hobbit. The action figure license does not seem to restrict other building toy competitors from doing their version of a Marvel CMF line. I think it would be a smart move for LEGO to to that. LEGO also does not shy away from some new molds for CMF. My favorite stuff in CMF is historical and I am at a loss what license would bring the best minifigs to CMF (excluding Tolkien stuff). I would much rather have waves dedicated to specific themes: One for Castle, one for Pirates, one for Mythology.
  9. My order that I placed Monday on my laptop had it as well. Perhaps some fulfillment centers had ran out. My order came from Southhaven, MS.
  10. I am pleased with what we have. As for a lack of recognizable buildings, the movie these sets tie to has not been released yet. That makes it pretty difficult. I think it will increase in the movie is a hit. I found the last Hobbit movie a bit disappointing but there is always hope.
  11. Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to this wave.
  12. My Holiday Catalog arrived today and the Grand Emporium is still listed. I guess it is not being discontinued as fast as the Fire Brigade. FB is not listed. My FB will arrive tomorrow.
  13. Looks to be a good summery of what Darins Bane posted. I am excited. LEGO World starts today and goes through next Tuesday. I really hope we get photos of the sets at this event. This will be a very strong wave for me... though I am likely to break down the sets for parts rather quickly.
  14. This is why I ordered on the more comfortable laptop than doing so on an iPhone. But I also waited for the free Christmas Tree Farm set so perhaps this quiet promotion ended.
  15. Yes, they can. However, I did not think it mattered. If it did, I would not have ordered my Fire Brigade on a laptop. I hope I get these minifig promotion as well. If I don't, I might contact their Customer Service to see if I can get it.
  16. Durins Bane, I take it that you have actually seen photos of these sets then? If so, I am greatly relieved as I like your description of the new orc designs. Not only do we get new prints but we can avoid the complaints of the first Hobbit wave and second Lord of the Rings wave about the reuse of orc prints.
  17. You are right to be concerned then as there is similar language for this promotion at the Shop@Home site. A restriction of one per household would mean the same account and/or the same address.
  18. Since you are concerned about it and the promotion just started, I would recommend that you wait until the first order shows "Shipped" before making the second order. You can also contact LEGO Customer Support if you are missing the promotion in your second order. I noticed the people on Facebook lamenting since they made orders that would have qualified last week and LEGO recommended them contact their Customer Support line. That is not a guarantee but it is better than nothing.
  19. Two separate orders of $99 (or whatever the required amount is) will each qualify. I like that you can see once you qualify as they add the item to your cart automatically.
  20. The police officer looks to be at a firing range though I don't know what he would be firing since they don't have guns. I really hope that the other officers have the CMF police cap from Series 9. Recidivism in LEGO City is so bad the crooks once again don't have time to change out of their prison garb before committing new crimes. At least this guy put a jacket on to hide his stripes.
  21. It should be available until the End of the Month. I placed my order today as I was just holding off until it was available. I hope I also get the 'Tom' LEGO Store minifig added to my order.
  22. I have always been disappointed with Gotham villian's henchmen. That said the new Joker henchmen are the less disappointing I have seen. The only garnish colors are due to the construction vests they are wearing. Of course the head(s) have not been revealed yet.
  23. The LEGO Movie has a set called Castle Calvery. What coat of arms does everyone think it will have? I would have guessed an 80s or 90s style to capitalize on nostalgia but we just got brand new coats of arms this year. That may mean they want the styles to match. The Special Themes has the price and set names for the first tem The LEGO Movie sets posted.
  24. I assume that it did not show up when you placed the order and it was a surprise when you opened your box. Is that correct? I am planning an order for after the 15th to get the Christmas Tree set for free, double VIP points, and hopefully this minifig.
