  1. For anyone interested - the 75050: B-Wing and 75051: Jedi Scout Fighter are now available at B&N.com.
  2. Grogall is a user that used to post official high-res images and information for some sets. If you look in the Brickshelf link you provided - that's his gallery. I haven't seen anything new in that gallery for a while (since late 2013?) and he hasn't posted on Eurobricks since last October.
  3. Is grogall back?
  4. The third picture down (of the rear of the building) cannot be clicked for the high-res pic.
  5. Thanks for the tip. I guess I'll continue to check B&N.com...
  6. I also haven't seen any updates to his gallery in a while.
  7. Does anyone know when Barnes & Noble will be getting the Summer Star Wars sets? Employees at my local B&N had no clue. I ask because I have a lot of B&N gift cards burning a hole in my pocket.
  8. That looks like the same AT-ST from 8038: The Battle of Endor.
  9. This looks like it would fit in nicely as a Modular Building: http://porterbriggs.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/agribankparisky.jpg
  10. This looks amazing. Great job!
  11. It looks like Minifigure Series 12 is going to contain at least one pirate-related minifigure: Swashbuckler
  12. So, from what I can tell from the box and preview images/videos of 75056-1: Advent Calendar - the Snowtroopers are of the design like in 75014: Battle of Hoth, where their helmets have cutouts instead of printing and the backpacks are not brick built. Any ideas on if this will change before its release or why LEGO would release it with the old molds rather than with the new ones?
  13. So, does the Snowtrooper commander not get a backpack? Forgive my ignorance, but I only see enough parts on the parts list images for two backpacks.
  14. One thing I noticed - there's no lamppost. Like the Modular Buildings, the Winter Village series always had at least one lamppost in each set. However, unlike the Modulars - they were built differently. I suppose the North Pole is the stand-in for the lamppost...
  15. My thoughts on 10228: Haunted House (HH)... The HH was the second purchase of a new LEGO set after coming out of my dark ages. Since then I've bought close to 75 sets - including 5 Modular Buildings (FB, GE, PS, TH, and PR). The HH is easily my favorite set out of the 175 sets I've ever owned (as a kid or currently), followed by 10210: Imperial Flagship. I'm not a fan of horror movies or monsters, and I don't own any of the other sets in the Monster Fighters theme. But the HH is just so well built and has so many fun features. The wife and I have built it twice - during the past two Halloweens - and we plan on making it a tradition with our daughter. Part of it is because it's close to being "Halloween" themed. But the reality is that it's just fun to put together. I can't think of any other set that we want to do that with other than the Winter Village sets. If there is one set out there that I say is a MUST BUY for any fan of LEGO it is the Haunted House.
  16. I'm in the same boat as you. More ships and sets like fortresses, harbors, or ports of trade would be great! However, I'm a sucker for Imperial Soldiers / Imperial Guards and not so much for the pirates themselves. I hope they have an Imperial ship if they release a range of sets for Pirates. Agree. That doesn't make much sense to me. I am expecting a Pirates line.
  17. I thought the same thing about the TH. I wasn't convinced that it was worth it after looking through the photos and reviews. That was until the wife and I were in our local LEGO store... We already have the FB, PS, GE, and PR. I told her that I was somewhat interested in it but that I wasn't sure if it was a "must buy". She said she really liked it and persuaded me that it was worth getting and that it didn't hurt to get double points. I'm glad she convinced me. After building it - it's one of my favorite Modular Buildings (after the PS). There was something very relaxing about the build. There are also some really great build techniques - like the columns, and roof details. I also liked that the whole build was only spread across three sets of numbered bags: a lot of pieces for parts 1 and 3. I would consider getting it if I were you - even if you're not a completest. I still don't ever see myself springing for the PC. It just doesn't strike me as well done as any of the Modular Buildings and the stickers are the nails in the coffin.
  18. I've updated the original post to include the .lxf.
  19. [pid][/pid] LDD/MLCad 12A I just started using LEGO Digital Designer and wanted to try to make something new but with some classic touches. I started by trying my hand at creating an updated version of 6274: Caribbean Clipper using modern methods and parts. I wouldn't consider this "original work" per se as it's more a modification of several different parts of other ships than anything else But I think the result is nice and thought I'd share. The components of the ship include: Most of the bow and shortened hull of the 10210: Imperial Flagship Modified rudder and masts from 4195: Queen Anne's Revenge The cabin from 4184: The Black Pearl Obviously, I've also made color changes here and there and for the sake of getting some sort of a representation of sails - I've "borrowed" the sails from BBQQQ's LDD Pirate Ship Sail Parts (Brick-Built) post. Here are a few pics... The main view: Front view: Rear view: Deck and Top of Bow: UPDATE: I've updated the pictures above and am adding the download for the .lxf.
  20. Awesome job. Thanks for posting! Any thoughts on color changes for the ship? Changing along the lines of the Caribbean Clipper might be nice since you've added some Blue Coats.
  21. I would love to see some new Blue Coats sets, especially if there is a new ship. Although, I know it's probably wishful thinking that TLG will make a rival to the Imperial Flagship. And I think the use of the torso from the Revolutionary Soldier would be perfect, as Dr. Steve has shown in a previous post.
  22. Here's the video: As an owner of the Sea Cow, I think it's a good review!
  23. Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I believe the maps - like the windows, the portrait, and the tile with the Sea Cow on it - are indeed stickers. I don't have the sticker sheet in front of me as I'm at work, but I thought they were on it. Also, it looks like you can see the edge of the stickers on both of the map tiles in the higher resolution image from the press release.
  24. I just picked up my copy at the Austin, TX, USA LEGO Store and am really excited to build it. 6 firing cannons? Yes please. Unfortunately, they didn't have any remaining bags of 30280: The Piece of Resistance. So, I guess I'll have to go without that one. :( Oh well... Serves me right. I now know to just order via lego.com in the future if it's later in the month in order to get any of the free sets.
  25. This is pretty exciting. I've never been that interested in the Cuusoo sets, but the Ghostbusters set would be a must buy. One thing I'd like to understand... They state the following: Does that mean we'll only be getting the car/characters and not the building?
