  1. I hope this is the right place for this. Please let me know if this post is out of line or if I shouldn't have included the non-torso assets. I've uploaded the below items to http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=552727. Clicking on each of the 128x128 versions above should open the 512x512 versions from Brickshelf. Torso Decorations Bluecoat Lady Torso: Bluecoat Officer Torso: Bluecoat Soldier Torso: Redcoat Soldier Torso: Non-Torso Decorations Small Bluecoat Flag: Small Pirate Flag: Bluecoat Governor Face: Bluecoat Governor Hat: Bluecoat Sergeant 1 Face: Bluecoat Sergeant 2 Face: Bluecoat Soldier 1 Face: Bluecoat Soldier 2 Face: Bluecoat Soldier 3 Face: Bluecoat Soldier 4 Face: Soldier Shako Badge: ...and here's a render using some of the decorations above: Enjoy!
  2. From where did you hear this rumor?
  3. Odd. Mine came with ElementID# 4506812. I am in the U.S. and purchased mine through barnesandnoble.com.
  4. Me too! I'd even like to see some sort of polybag.
  5. Really? I didn't have this problem at all.
  6. That's a great question! I've had the luxury of putting together each of the sets - excluding 40158: Pirates Chess Set, which is still sitting in its box. So, here's my take/opinion on the matter: 70411: Treasure Island is probably the best stand-alone set of the line. While small, it's still a very cool set with great features and a good cast of characters. However, adding 70409: Shipwreck Defense - the weakest set of the product line - doesn't add much to the overall combination. I think that 70410: Soldiers Outpost and 70412: Soldiers Fort are the better combination. They both create a more complete soldier's fortification and are thematically very well matched. If anything, the grouping of the two shows how they could have been bundled together as a single set. Having said that: I really love this year's Pirates sets. I only hope The LEGO Group continue to make more sets in the line - especially a Bluecoat vessel.
  7. I started an MOC thread to modernize the old Bluecoats 6265 - Sabre Island using 70410 - Soldiers Outpost as a base: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105550 It's nowhere near 6276 - Eldorado Fortress, but it might help to give you a few ideas.
  8. Okay. I've uploaded the following additional items to http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=552727: Small Bluecoat Flag: Small Pirate Flag: Bluecoat Governor Face: Bluecoat Governor Hat: Bluecoat Lady Torso: Bluecoat Officer Torso: Redcoat Soldier Torso (Front and Back): Clicking on each of the 128x128 versions above should open the 512x512 versions from Brickshelf. Enjoy!
  9. I just built The Brick Bounty last night and quite like it. Unfortunately, the last two ships I built were the Imperial Flagship and MetalBeard's Sea Cow. So, this ship seems so small to me in comparison. Having said that, here's what I prefer over Brickbeard's Bounty: The rigging An anchor and crow's nest Rear of cabin is sleek Hiding place for treasure Colors: I know I'm probably going to get flack for this but I like the use of red on the ship rather than dark red. After all, this is a non-licensed set. I say leave the darker themed ships for the POTC, The LEGO Movie, and MOC sets... Cabin door and balcony Again, this looks to be an unpopular opinion but I enjoy that the designer has mixed things up a bit. I prefer the figures in this set and am very happy with the selection of Bluecoats Better skull logo For the price, I think it's a great set. I only wish they would have included some gold pieces and a monkey or parrot... One thing I'm not clear on is why the instructions have you build the cabin with windows opening inward. Any thoughts?
  10. I wanted to incorporate the new cockpit elements (here and here) from this year's 75082 - TIE Advanced Prototype with the 2012 9492 - Tie Fighter. Unfortunately, the new elements aren't in LDD yet. So, I used part 44375 - Parabola 6X6 in their place. This is what I've come up with - along with some other edits: I'm quite happy with the design - especially the rear window. Note: This model has no flick fire missiles or spring shooters. The cannons are just a pair of forward facing 1x1 round plates. Next, I think I'll render a scene with the my approximation of 75094 - Imperial Shuttle Tydirium.
  11. I made them in Adobe Illustrator and exported them as .PNG. You can find some of them at http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=552727. Let me know if there's anything in particular you're looking for and I'll post it there.
  12. That is easy said than done. I may try to do so, but that will have to wait...
  13. Here you go:
  14. Sure. But I'll have to post it later - when I can find time to render it.
  15. I think they're just the cranky ones. I see more smiles than not among the 2015 pirates as well as the bluecoats: http://www.lego.com/en-us/pirates/characters
  16. Yes, this video - among others - was posted to FBTB.net last month here and here. But it may have been easy to miss as I think it was only mentioned once in this thread. BTW- The video is where I was able to understand most of the details in order to create an approximation in LDD:
  17. Do you have any pictures?
  18. Saw all of the Pirates sets (minus the Chess set) in the North Austin, Texas Toys R Us. All were retail price except the ship (70413), which was $109.99 - $10 more than list.
  19. Here is the the LXF file.
  20. Sorry for the delay. Here you go: ... and here are some updated images on a single baseplate and with a rowboat - like the original 6265 - Sabre Island: Front: Back:
  21. Found 2 70410: Soldiers Outpost at Target in the Austin, Texas area last night. There was no label on the shelf.
  22. I don't recall if this was mentioned previously, but brickset.com posted a decent resolution picture of 40158 - Pirates Chess Set.
  23. I believe we also saw it in the Star Wars Rebels episode called "Gathering Forces".
  24. I've tried my hand at recreating 75094 - Imperial Shuttle Tydirium in LEGO Digital Designer (LDD) as best I can. The file is based off the pictures and video of the set from FBTB.net's 2015 Toy Fair Report for LEGO Star Wars. Here's the LXF and a quick render in POV-Ray: There is a lot of guess work involved. So, things are far from perfect. It's probably best to look at this as a rough draft. It's a burden to fold the wings up and down properly in LDD. But the cockpit opens and closes just fine. Some of the parts missing/omitted are: All minifigures 6019727: Brick 1X4X1 1/3 in white (x2) These are missing from the landing struts as they kept colliding with the wings. 4556152: Plate 1X2 W/Holder, Vertical in white (x2) It looks like these are used in the rear of the shuttle; on the upper inside. I just didn't get around to seeing how these should be placed. I hope someone finds this useful. EDIT: Adding a render with the wings folded up:
  25. The card next to the Imperial Shuttle said "June".
